Earlier in the season kemp put all his eggs n the polish basket, but after a few weeks of not being picked or limited fixtures, I think he has now decided/ been persuaded to return to British speedway.  Think he will have a point to prove and some wages to earn and score some good points for the Comets

I'll give credit to Kemp for trying to further his career, leaving the Champ to try & make it in Poland / Latvia.

His return also shows there's a safety net, any heat leader who leaves the Champ, will almost certainly find a team spot when they want to return due to lack of heat leaders.

Expected a lot more from kemp yesterday

But can say that for rest of team also

Kemp was very poor hopefully he can change something on setup and be more competitive next time

He was gating poor like the rest of the team and trying too hard. In the earlier heats he was going really wide when that outside line wasn't working.

I'm sure he'll come good, but he needs to get that setup dialled in plus fix those mechanical gremlins that he often has

The reason Drew didn't resign for Berwick was the logistics involved with us being a Saturday track, he had at the time basically said he wouldn't be riding Championship.

Absolutely fair enough!

Some changes to line-up for Saturday's memorial meeting.

One to note is Kemp in for Batchelor. Unsure where Batchelor is, but he hasn't missed a meeting for us in two years, so must be something important.

More track time for Kemp is a positive though.

So Craig Cook can ride in a memorial meeting but not for his team!

Some riders come out of retirement to ride in benefit meetings. Craig doesn't have a team place. so fair play to him for honouring Jay's memory. :t:

Credit for Cook for turning up for Jay's meeting, but he could not even do all his rides before packing in again. Seen him changed on 1st bend watching when he should have been riding, sore shoulder !!!!

Heard he gave up his ride to the young Mickie Simpson to give him track time

Leigha Cartmell (Jay's mother) said that both Charles Wright and Cookie gave up their rides so that the younger riders could have a go.

Any plans to change Saturday start time or postpone due to footie

If so I'd like it changed as early as possible

Speedway will come first but I do have something else on if speedway is changed

Finals on Sunday.
