But Chris had seen this coming, he's been banging his head against a brick wall for a long time now. Six man teams in one league was a suggestion many months ago, but a large majority of clubs refused to enter any worthwhile discussion. And now the ship continues to steer towards the rocks...

I remember him giving an interview 5 or 6 years ago saying that doubling up needed to be phased out for the integrity of the sport. Nothing has happened in that regard. I guess there comes a time where if you cannot influence change for the greater good, you pack up & head off in to the sunset.

Just as we all would.

I forsee the can being kicked down the road for another week or so. And start of season in May

Tomorrow is going to be interesting if nothing else. We’ll surely know more on Ipswich’ situation one way or another (they can’t release any kind of statement and avoid mentioning Ipswich surely), and we’ll also know more on any potential 5th/6th team. They did after all, guarantee a MINIMUM five team league so it’s either Ipswich or a.n.other or both..

Your suggestion is also a possibility to give club(s) even more time we’ll see.

Yes, they'll have to do the usual AGM legal requirements, maybe announce "club 5", then say Ipswich are being given an additional (?) days/weeks to confirm their position, hopefully to allow legal completion of a sale and meeting of SCB reqiurements?

In 2021 his entire finishing 1-7 were double uppers and the following year he used six throughout the season. There is one team that in recent years has used one in the main team and one at reserve. Actions speak louder than words but unfortunately one team doesn’t get listened to whether spoken or otherwise and here we are but they will keep fighting the fight for the good of the sport.

Adrian Smith couldn't believe the way the sport was ran,, and tried to ensure the Aces, (at least), were ran with credibility....

He did this as he listened to fans on his many walkrounds during the meeting...

He, like so many others with actual vision, eventually gave up, as he knew the capability simply wasn't there amongst so many of the others to drag the sport up to its potential...

Another good person, who understood the modern world, lost to the sport...
