As far as a British Speedway club ownership goes, it’s pretty huge. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if they don’t just stop at Ipswich in the near future either. I've looked on their website... we've been here before with BSI, they got involved when British Speedway was in a far healthier state than it is today and were soon gone, they'll only encounter the same issues that they and Chris Louis did.

He has met the new owners who have experience in lots of other motorsport classes, the new team manager and said that he thinks with the team that they have they will be challanging for Silverwear again this season. So all sounds positive for Ipswich. Did someone not ask him when the season is starting.

I’d heard Olly Allen was a contender just before Christmas, but others have heard more recently that it could be Peter Adams. Whoever it is I hope their salary is not big 🙂
cowboy cookie returns?
It’s got to be a positive with Mayfield getting involved. As the GP rights holder they know for that to work league speedway has to be more than just Poland. Hopefully in a year or two British speedway will be in a far better position

Think the majority do it voluntarily don’t they? Just expenses here and there.

Yep - if it's Mayfield then it has comparisons to Reading and Posselthwaite, look how that ended up.

Warner Bros got involved in Speedway, realised it was a complete basket case and promptly exited stage left.

Wasn't a significant part of the funding issues for Posselthwaite from the failed 'dig deep' branding launch too

kevin bass
Good news not far away then, regarding the No 1 rumours about Woffinden/ Lambert, what's the chance of Lindgren riding over here again, and if so what his average last season. If it is Mayfield, they are very much an unknown quantity in Speedway, so far all they seem to have done is reduce the SGP prize money. I'm not sure what their credentials are other than a number of impressive brands logos on their (last time I checked) website (and no real mention of how they are involved with those brands)... and with no mention of Speedway. See what Input Mayfield are bringing this year. Let’s be honest the only way now is up.

One half of Team GB's Managers working with 2 of the eventual 4 Team GB World Cup Squad is also very likely imo and it's beneficial for Team GB as a whole if Olly Allen can work with Tom Brennan in the run-up to the World Cup. I'm not sure where Pete lives but Wolverhampton to Ipswich would surely be about a 3 hour journey where's Olly Allen is a Norfolk lad isn't he? He lives in same village as Sam Masters and Dougie near to Telford so yes quite a jaunt over to Ipswich at his age.

Depends what they want, as they've no Speedway experience on board they might want someone to look after the whole show for them and Adams could do that whereas Allen couldn't

If he wants back in though which he's said he does then anywhere will involve a jaunt. He won't be getting Belle Vue, Leicester, Kings Lynn or Sheffield

Thanks. That's far too much travelling at Pete's age just for Home Meetings imo, Looking at around 6 Hours from Telford to Foxhall and back. Would be much easier travel wise for Pete to become the TM at Northampton imo assuming they come to tapes.

ShanoXtra
Why do people constantly put lamberts name in the mix when he already done an interview stating he isn’t coming back to British Speedway until things drastically change, I don’t think he meant for the worse either. You have more chance of the new number 1 for witches being Christina Turnbull.
