Up to you if you choose to believe him or not. I’m just quoting what the bloke said.

I wouldn’t have thought an offer from Belle Vue would have been forthcoming anyway. They already had their top two.

I could be wrong but I thought Doyle announced he wouldn’t be racing in this country well before Kurtz and Bewley were announced. And he’s never really been a one club man has he . Like Danny King etc … and Bomber 😁

Yes his three year work visa expired and it was apparently very expensive to renew. He done the three years of his visa, won medals in both the Cup and Premiership, so things all came to a natural end.

The perfect example of an overseas rider that adds something to UK Speedway, and will be greatly missed..

Unlike so many overseas journeymen down the years, and still the same today, who will hardly be noticed, never mind missed...

Yet will have blocked medium to long term UK rider development...

Edit. His Heat 15 at the NSS a few years ago, with Doyle, Kurtz and Bewley, when Ipswich knocked the Aces out of the PO's, was one of the best races I have ever seen in Team Speedway..

Think he lives near Norwich so Ipswich suits him down to the ground - unless there was significantly more money he'd not want to join BV.

Doyle was never getting a contract offer from Belle Vue. Kurtz and Bewley were always going to be there and they’d have made their availability quite clear early on.

He’d made a home here for sure. People will always be a bit suspicious when riders say they won’t ride anywhere else though. We all know money talks.

Pretty sure we’d have been his priority though. Still think we might see him later in the season…

He was fantastic wasn’t he? Had an aura, the X factor. His form dipped in his final year here by his high standards but it wasn’t through lack of effort or commitment.

I’m sure I wasn’t alone when he first signed wondering how many meetings he’d miss and how much effort would he put in, but I needn’t have been concerned!

Class act.

Unfortunately the 1-6 is true.

Forum member has posted a reply from facebook in regards to the BSN PREM Pass and TV rights for the forthcoming season.

Safe to say that the BSPL are in a hole that they can't get out of this time.

Mayfield haven't tried hard enough when it comes to Team Building imo, They could've put out a much better 1-7 than rumoured but the vast majority of the blame lies with Chris Louis for leaving the Club playing catch up.

CL must have a genuine belief that things would turn out differently at the AGM.  It seems he wasn't planning to build a "Premiership" team, so can't be blamed for decisions made by people who want to plough on regardless.  I don't blame him at all for walking away.  CL put a huge part of his life into the club (and his wife did too) - fairly soon, he'll be able to get on with a different sort of life.

Why am I getting images of a courtroom in my head with Hamish festooned in wig and gown, pacing hands behind his back during a cross examination

Well let's just suppose i had temporarily lost my marbles during the early part of January, and on the basis of BSP Ltd's statement assuring of a minimum 5 team league, had decided to invest a sum of money in  BSP Ltd and/or in Speedway Futures (Ltd?).

Then, having made my investment, i subsequently began to have serious and well-founded suspicions that at the time of making its public statement, BSP Ltd could not have been certain that a 5-team league would actually be going ahead, i'd have been pretty hopping angry and i'd have been asking urgent questions to BSP Ltd's directors.

One key question i'd have asked BSP Ltd's directors, would have been did C.Louis give a legally watertight assurance that, in the event of a sale of Ipswich speedway not being completed by, say, 5th April 2026, he would continue to run the club as an active PL member until such time as the club's sale had been completed.

And if the BSP Ltd's directors could not have provided that evidence to satisfy my needs, i'd have been initiating processes to have them suspended and hopefully struck off as Company Directors.

Ive no beef or suspicions about Ioswich speedway Ltd or with C.Louis, by the way

It's March 1st on Sunday. If we don't hear nothing by then, I think we can presume things are not going to plan...
