As I said: The poor condition of British speedway is to blame ... those who rejected whatever CL was proposing, in favour of ploughing on with the Prem in its current parlous condition are just as much to blame as he is.

Did CL have any allies in this, amongst fellow BSPL Directors and amongst the wider Promoterati? And who were his main adversaries? Or do we have to await his memoires?

Good news...

No Team info? Or did I miss it?

"Not always promoted or presented in the way it deserves"...

Fair comment....

I am sure the other promoters will be closely watching and learning...:D

In the statement it says they look forward to sharing the full 1-7 on Monday.

Saying all the right things, and as I’ve said before, they shouldn’t be judged on this years team because as they rightly say, they came in very late when all the others had built their teams. It’s next winter they can be judged.

People also need to respect the process and stop demanding to know exactly what’s going on on a regular basis. As Coleman says, they wanted to speak earlier, but simply couldn’t for various reasons.

Anyway, all sorted and time to crack on. I always said I’d make a decision on whether I was going to attend based on the team put out, but I’ve changed my mind. I’ll be there regardless as they deserve to be backed. They’ve seemingly done the best they can with what’s left available.

Can't disagree with what's been said by the new owner. At least hes acknowledged how bad it's been for the fans this winter. Best of luck to all involved.

I liked that. Almost apologetic and understands the frustration. Sometimes as much as you want to talk, you just can’t.

I don’t think it’s the smartest wording to call darts players overweight 🤦🏼 you can’t be doing that in this day and age. Calling it a rescue mission showing how Chris has almost folded the club. Their main concern was the league and not just Ipswich… hmmm. Having a poor team this year won’t bring people to the turn stiles like they are begging for.

To be fair it’s probably accurate as is him saying speedway in the UK is woefully promoted, I’m not sure many of the UK fan base will argue with that after the winter we have just had.

Whether he will make a difference remains to be seen, reminds me a bit of Posselwaite at Reading, this was a bloke who was going to do wonders and rubbish cucumbers and achieved very little after spending an awful lot of money and famously changing the Racers to Bulldogs, more like Bull$hyte.
