Read what I said and when you can understand it come back to me... until then bask in your ignorance 🤡

Sellers can't guarantee anything about something they will ultimately have no control over. Having heard it straight from the horse's mouth, I stand behind Chris and his decision 100%...

I never mentioned guarantees

These days what do speedway clubs own if they are for sale. It appears due to rules the clubs don't own any rider assets they are just employed from march to October, most clubs only rent a stadium from a 3rd party. The only asset I can work out is the licence from the BSPL to run speedway, and as it stands unfortunately that won't be worth much the way them in charge are carrying on

Thanks for including your selfie.

I know your game mate, mis-quote somebody, twist their words and then embark on a pointless, boring, futile argument with them as you have done recently on the Speedway Show topic and have in the past with me... I'm not sure if you do it deliberating sat in your underpants at home... or are just a bit thick 🤔

You sure about that...😉

That was in response to somebody else saying "guarantee"... I originally said "assurances" which is different to "guarantees"... but if you think the bigger topic here is what word I used to who instead of the potential loss of a completely viable speedway club... knock yourself out, or maybe set a new topic up so that everybody that cares about the difference between an "assurance" and a "guarantee" can argue the toss out of it to their heart's content 👍🏻

Stop digging a bloody hole ffs Iain! It’s there in black and white, you literally said as owner, he can make guarantees, then denied you mentioned guarantees!

Just own it 🙄

Okay, so it seems that this is the overriding topic of the day and not the future of Ipswich Speedway...

While Chris Louis is the owner of Ipswich Speedway he is most definitely in a position to make a "guarantee" that should there be no buyer for the club before the start of next season that the club will continue to run until a buyer is found.

I would have preferred that he'd have made an assurance to fans in his statement, but as my words have been mis-quoted, I've written it out for you in black and white.

As the current custodian of a famous sports club he certainly owes the fans of Ipswich an explanation however I'm guessing that he feels the next step is that there should be some sort of statement from the BSPL regarding 26 which I understand.

Hopefully after that he'll give his reasons to the Witches fans

There's going to be a lot of worried Witches fans in the dark at the moment at what should be a time of celebration for them. As had often been said the club belongs to the fans the owners are just passers through.

Spot on Iain, yes I can say there will be a lot of concern locally as the sport is the second biggest concern in this area by some distance. The support is fantastic as is the local media coverage. But the sport itself has to be the biggest concern, and despite some strong posturing from some of my fellow witches fans on here. If we take home the ball then no one plays and it's as simple as that!

Which would be complete madness. If Louis wants out, that's fair enough but he shouldn't take the club down with him.

Disappointing news. I thought Louis was one of the few promoters that had the ability and professionalism to help dig the sport out of this mess. Big loss to British speedway as well as Ipswich.

That's the problem - eveytime Chris tried to put a spade in the ground someone else would kick it away and refill the hole....

Interesting news coming out of Poland! They are reporting high potential of Guy Nicholls taking over and that’s the reason behind him pulling out of sponsoring Sheffield.

Fair play if he can afford to buy Poland just by pulling his sponsorship of Sheffield.

Every club is run by custodians of the sport and along that journey some will fall by the wayside for one reason or another. It is key for the future of the sport that the custodians are fit, willing and able to carry the concept forward but in reality until it has a concrete business plan to see out the next five to ten years why would any one invest . It is up to the promoters, riders and current supporters to sell the sport, no one else is going to do it and without a coordinated approach it is on borrowed time.
