When sandhu stood down from speedway. And offered the promotion for grabs. With the hundreds who were wanting to take it on and mick Horton got the nod. How surprising. Maybe I'll put as much effort into going as they're putting into encouraging me to go...!!!! Following the switch from White City... I used to make a 170 mile round trip every week to follow and support Eastbourne... But my enthusiasm is rapidly approaching zero thanks to the numpties who now run our once great sport... Mark Lemon is quoted as saying that they needed a sixth team for the "integrity and credibility" of the sport... I do hope when he used those words, he managed to do it with a straight face...
