As I've said before your welcome to him and he is showing his true worth 😀 Where has it been said he's going to be a world beater

frigbo
Well, that wasn't a classic was it!? Any movement off the blue groove and riders just went backwards. Took my Mrs to her first meeting since 2003 and she simply said "it's not as exciting as it used to be is it?" You can't dish that sort of meeting up regularly.and hope to take the sport forward! Toady
Enjoyed tonight, good to see some action after all that’s gone on recently. The crowd wasn't that bad, but obviously the weather played a part.  The Unipart car park situation was a bit embarrassing, but hopefully sorted for next week. The highlight for me was the Poole reaction when Killeen was excluded and then Wood replacing him for a 5-1 with Masters.  I will say for all those complaining about the track, for us to even have any Speedway to watch is something to be thankful for.
foreverblue
As someone who was there, I would say the track was dire, I assume track wasnt watered due to possibility of rain so it was very dusty and passing was almost impossible. They did go round with the water truck once but it was still very dusty. Riss was a big miss for Oxford but our riders were very poor early on, most surprising was Lawson. If Bowes rides like that again he deserves to go,awful from him. In the end we did well to score 39.

Poole fans on here are just hilarious having the actual audacity to have a go at another track when the whole speedway fanbase knows Poole is by some way the worst track in the league Shovlar saying sedgeman is a good replacement for Riss either shows he is thick or simply trolling Let’s be fair if Oxford where at full strength they could have been close to 60 Sedgeman is a track specialist, he certainly didnt show it tonight though.
lucifer sam
Cracking evening. Decent crowd considering the forecast - although would have been bigger had more Poole fans made the trip. Lot less Pirates' fans tonight than Coventry brought a fortnight ago. Track prepared for rain that didn't come, but still favoured those who attacked it. such as Mitch McDiarmid. What a performance from Dayle Wood - masterclass in gating and also lovely team-riding in Heat 8 to ensure the 5-1.

Supersub
Poor racing track-very slick, no grip, gate & go, virtually no passing& very boring to watch, waste of £13.99. Poole underperformed,There may well have been reasons but IMO: Lawson-disapointing, Newman-poor, Kerr-average, Bowes-poor, Cook-Ok, Cairns disapointing but only 16, Rushen-OK 12 points should make 2nd leg interesting but generally Poole excel at Poole

Cairns did his job, Bowes was poor.

Pirates Of Poole
Well done to Oxford, they wanted it more than majority of our boys. Track was set up for rain, slick and not ideal for racing but that’s the way it went. Two poor away meetings now and we need to see an improvement from a couple of the boys in the main part of the team. Coops should have had more than 4 rides, why we kept Newman and Bowes in their 4th ride is beyond me. It’s all good and well scoring well at home but we need them to show up away. Edited 8 hours ago by Pirates Of Poole

It’s all good and well scoring well at home but we need them to show up away. Newman only had 3 rides. They took him out for the TS ride, did they not? Not sure about Bowes. Maybe they hoped he was going to gate and pin it on the inside.

marko
I know we have people on here with experience of track preparation so my question is, when you have a situation like last night where the rain doesnt come and clearly from looking at the sky it isnt going to come anytime soon, how long would it take to get the track back to a state where you could get water into it and also not have a blue line?
