Pirates Of Poole Posted April 16 Report Share Posted April 16 (edited) Well done to Oxford, they wanted it more than majority of our boys. Track was set up for rain, slick and not ideal for racing but that’s the way it went. Two poor away meetings now and we need to see an improvement from a couple of the boys in the main part of the team. Coops should have had more than 4 rides, why we kept Newman and Bowes in their 4th ride is beyond me. It’s all good and well scoring well at home but we need them to show up away. marko Posted April 16 Report Share Posted April 16 I know we have people on here with experience of track preparation so my question is, when you have a situation like last night where the rain doesnt come and clearly from looking at the sky it isnt going to come anytime soon, how long would it take to get the track back to a state where you could get water into it and also not have a blue line? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Given the current circumstances surrounding Oxford, I think getting the meeting on was the top priority. A rain-off could have been disastrous. Yes, the track was pretty awful, but let's just be glad Oxford are actually coming to the tapes at the moment.
