Workington v Berwick 26/04/26 3 pm. KOC 2nd leg. (Sunday)

Recommended Posts

This Sunday afternoon the Comets are up against the Berwick Bandits in this rearranged meeting which is the 2nd leg of the koc cup tie.

The rejuvenated Dayle Wood guests for the Comets in both legs over the weekend and sees him Craig Cook and Jonas Jeppesen returning to shielfied as former Bandits riders.

Unfortunately I cannot attend as this is a rearranged meet and planned for something else that wekend.

Im travelling across to Berwick again for this one. Hoping for a safer meeting than last time!

Expecting it to be a close contest across both legs. Cookie and Jeppesen should do well, but Berwick have Morris and Kildemand who should keep it close.

Dayle Wood as a guest is interesting, but Berwicks young Aussie is looking to be a great find so I cant call which way that will go.

Its a first visit to Berwick for Jakobsen who looks to be a decent signing despite what his scores may suggest so far. Berwick is a difficult track for some so im expecting him to take a couple of heats to get going.

Jacobsen has ridden at Berwick.  He came over late last season and had some after-match laps.

Speaking of commitment to the comets, will they be doing a collection for Vinnie to help with his costs to rebuild the damaged bike?

Nothing done by the club then?

This is the more modern way to fund raise, what do you want several collections that dilute the money raised 🤔

He’s always wrecking his bike. You’ll forever be fund raising

I really shouldn't reply to you but, no more than any other rider, especially a 19 year old learning his trade.

Richard Lawson, what, 39 has wrecked a bike this season, he got a collection from the club and a go fund page, is Richard any more reckless than any other rider?

What happens between the club, sponsors including those of the club and rider and the rider himself who are all now self employed is between the various parties and that is where it should remain. You obviously feel strongly about this so I'm sure this will feed through via a sizeable donation to Vinnie's gofundme fund raiser.

Fair point, as one of Vinnie's sponsors I already have but not through his go fund.. I will say no more.

I only asked if the club was doing a collection, nothing more.

Overcast at the moment with blue sky in the distance. Light shower this morning but a lot cooler today so hopefully the track plays ball and gives us some good racing.
