R/R for Cook

Mitchell Cluff guests for Niklas

Looking very vulnerable today now, really need Tate to step up and the skipper to be on his best form to have any chance of avoiding a home defeat.

Dayle Wood improved as the meeting wore on last night and was riding with a lot of courage until he suffered bike issues in his final two rides. Hopefully he has his bikes sorted and we can celebrate some points from him again at reserve.

Please support your team today, I believe that although weakened we will still see some entertaining speedway and that is what it is all about.

UTC !

Blobby is driving Cluff down in a bridge building exercise helping him unload his kit.

Going by inside intel he is going to wait until Cluff goes for a piss and abandon him in Cumbria in the hope he spits the dummy and chucks it.

So I have heard.

Gonna be a struggle today now, after all the positives from the first home meeting this is the last thing we need.

Surely there is a better option than Cluff available, he has hardly scored a point riding at reserve for Edinburgh this season. Its not even a phone call you would make asking if Cluff was available.

And young Jamie is so far out of his depth its doing him and the Comets no good at all, why was he ever signed ?

At 10 o clock on a Saturday evening when a meeting starts at 3 o clock the next day, options for a rider to be available is very very limited. Some probably enjoying some down time with family or friends, would be virtually impossible to organise bikes/ mechanic and travel from say Oxfordshire or East Anglia at this short of notice. Got to turn up and support the Comets whatever team is put out.

On a possible for monarchs fans cluff may double his points score by beating Jamie in heat 2  😀😀

Still as long as the racing is exciting it doesn't matter who wins as the crowd for the next home meeting won't be affected!?😉

Unfortunately the crowd will be down, yes a very poor performance last nite, guest choice is what it is a a late hour when your track is a long way from many riders based, onwards and upwards in the life of a comets fan. I witnessed many shocking performances in 1980+81 that were worse than last nite. UTC 🔵🏁😀

From the Berwick match report, sums up our luck. 3 riders down already after 3 meetings

A freak incident in the pits saw Cook apparently dislocate his shoulder while working on his bike and become the second comet to withdraw from the action.

A report released last night said he'd fallen off his mountain bike the day before and hurt himself.
