paul84
The racing has been some of the best we’ve seen at Workington recently and I can’t see this being any different this afternoon. Weneed to be on top form Plymouth were very impressive at Glasgow last night. Come on the Comets !

Woke23
Forecast changed for the better yesterday. I looked the other day and it was expected to rain from early morning to late morning. Thankfully, it looks great today. On another note, im excited to see young Mickie on his debut championship meeting.
SteelShoe
Another tough meeting for the GT Tyres Comets. Track specialist Danny King and a very much in form Scotty Nicholls form a strong Gladiators spearhead. Both riders dominated heats 13 and 15 at Glasgow last night. This is very much going to need yet another big team effort if we are to bag the 2 points. Good to see Niklas back and today would be very timely for him to produce his best performance in the big C. Thanks in anticipation to Mitch Cluff whom I hope performs as well as he did when guesting for us against the Bandits and to Mickie Simpson who if he can beat Tom Spencer will have done all we ask. Come on you Comets, we need to start our home league campaign off with a win so give it your all guys and scrap for every point ! UTC. Blue Groove
Think Plymouth will fancy this; Grmek will outscore Workington's reserves, and r/r again for Cook won't make what Cook would've scored.

If Cluff rides like he did a couple of weeks ago at Northside from the No.2 position, I see no reason why he won’t score quite a lot of points. No idea on Simpson, never seen him ride yet
Blue Groove
Need to go to 6pm start time, any water put down on the track has evaporated by the time the water truck comes round again. Or a stronger watering system, looks like an aerosol spray. Edited May 9 by Blue Groove

We don't, and yes today wasn't good enough but it's a one off. Also, lengthy delays cant be helped when you have someone unwell in the stands and multiple crashes

I think plymouth under performed today and still got the win but should of been by alot more. How can the ref exclude 2 riders when when tate clearly went down before Tom Spencer baffles me! Neila dry your eyes mate I think you're going to get a few defeats at home if that's anything to go by!
Marksman
Very disappointing afternoon there, was close throughout and we couldn’t pull away after heat 10. A combination of Jeppesen’s retirements and the absurd referee decisions probably cost us the win, that man needs challenged, it was bizarre! Team has potential but can’t keep running with a patched up team. The 6pm starts can’t come quick enough, track was perfect last week. Don't think people who aren’t there realise the effect the gusty winds and the sun beating down on the track has, the track is 100% pure shale unlike other surfaces, and just dries out instantly even if it’s completely soaked for hours beforehand. Last week on the 6pm start it didn’t dry out one bit because the moisture could hold in the track. Still had more entertainment than all of our away meetings this season, good to see Tate being back confident and passing riders, just needs to perfect his gating. Neila
@lewy I did say earlier on that it would be a struggle to win, need a 5th man whether it's the lesser spotted cook or someone new, can't win matches with R/R if some are not on top form. Well done Plymouth deserved the victory

Wrongly excluded tate and then excluded tom because he was down before the light came on. Ben barker illegally warming tyre and Grmek was also not under power when that was called so he should have went too. Ref made some awful decisions all in favour of plymouth. Ben Barker still a bell end though and still cant ride Northside. What a shame.
