I think we may need 2 changes in order to bring in a stronger reserve. Vinnie on interview yesterday said his fracture was wider than he thought and that his physio scoffed at his suggestion of coming back for Glasgow away on friday so he sounds some way off. Our season could be over the way things are going. Back to back home defeats backs this up.

A couple defeats in the grand scheme of things is nothing, the win is having speedway to watch and enjoy if you make the playoffs great if not at least you got your team to support and follow. Keep the crowd levels up and enjoy it while you got it.

Exactly, these days you should be grateful you have a team to support, a couple of home defeats early in the season is not season ending. The list of teams that are closed is very large, to avoid being the next one is paramount. I went to Oxford a couple of weeks ago and heard someone say it was the last meeting but thankfully that wasnt the case.

Absolutely. It was good to see the travelling Plymouth contingent yesterday.

Comets had 10 heat winners, would’ve been 11 had JJ’s chain not went in Heat 6.

And still lost 🙈 don’t know the stats but that can’t happen very often, think it shows how reliant on 3 riders we’ve been lately

Yes had 10 race wins but also had 11 last places or retirements and an exclusion can't win a meeting with that many no scores, but once again some good racing, hopefully a 6 o clock start next week will help keeping the dust at bay

I think the noise coming from Wimborne Road would be rather loud though if the Pirates suffered back to back home defeats 😃. The way I see Comets situation is that  unfortunately Vinnie is a number of weeks away, Cookie who knows ? dislocated shoulder or rotator cuff injury ? . Rotator Cuff injury is potentially more serious and wouldn't really withstand the shoulder forces experienced riding Speedway , least not in the short term .

We have two big meetings next weekend Glasgow away Oxford at home followed by Scunny at home on the 30th. Then it is likely we have no meeting until June 27th.

To lose both meetings next weekend may be damaging to crowd levels so avoiding this scenario is probably priority. Then following the Scunny meeting two week later there is another two week gap so more time for healing of injuries.

What would Poole do team changes or guests ?

Yes I agree, we are always castigated for our track and told its not all about winning but if you dont win meetings crowd levels drop even if your track produces great speedway. I think Poole would make changes like bringing in Newman for Gilkes recently. We would not have employed Craig Cook and he would not have wanted to be at Poole, if he is out for a while then change him and Vinnie would be a good plan, no idea who for though.

Need to go to 6pm start time, any water put down on the track has evaporated by the time the water truck comes round again.  Or a stronger watering system, looks like an aerosol spray.

The issue seems to be it doesnt get mixed in. It needs wonderwheeled in then it will bind thus making it more consistent.

When Jakobsen gets a new average, currently below 3.00, they'd have 2 more points to play with to replace Vinnie (if it's a long term injury).

Would have to wait till June to do that, then to my surprise saw Workington only have ONE fixture planned for the entire month of June!
