I fully expect us to be on the end of a pumping we look poor this season whilst Poole look very strong high 50s low 60s for the pirates unfortunately.

Nobody really gains from a one-sided competition. Glasgow (the fans) deserve better obviously it would be great if Cami were to go (he does make some bloody odd calls) but maybe they missed a trick when let Dan Thompson go, should it really have been Harris? I know Harris brings plenty as a Captain beyond points, and can on the odd occasion still match most top championship riders, but Dan is on the up and he now makes Edinburgh a more formidable team too. Just a thought?!*#

So hot here. Sizzling heat at 10 am. Bit more of an easterly breeze this morning but that won’t make any difference. Trying to get any moisture into the track is going to be a thankless task. Horrendous conditions for racing but they just have to get on with it.

Big crowd expected as it’s half term. The bar staff will be kept very busy!

Poole to get low to mid 50’s tonight,  Bomber off form in Championship, not a happy hunting ground for Howarth who is the in form rider for Glasgow, can’t see Flint getting much picking from the Poole heatleaders.

I’d expect Lawson to go undefeated by a Glasgow rider, Poole reserves to have a field day against the Glasgow reserves and middle order, with Kerr and Cook to have a solid double digit night also

If anything, the breeze combined with the heat will make it dry out faster. Ideally plenty of water on the track late last night, and from 5 this morning throughout the day as needed. That's if you have access of course.

Don't think Bombers gonna like it much.

Bellevue did an excellent job on their track bank holiday Monday, very hot day.

The meeting was at BV at Noon. Over by the hottest time of the day. Poole track has all day. 20 mins outdoors and you are fried.

When Exeter came into town, back in the day, most clubs thought the same about them. On paper, it looks like it could be a hammering for the tigers, but nothing is won on paper. Sport has a habit of turning up a few shock results over the years, so you never know!!

Strange scheduling, surely Glasgow would have worked out that Kevin Juhl Pedersen was always going to be missing for the Danish semi-final...

Can't see anything but a Poole win and by quite a few giving Glasgow little chance of a bonus point.

Fixture Planning at its best.Unreal.!

And if he makes the final, he'll miss the meeting at Oxford too. Really don't know why we didn't get dates in July for our aways at Poole and Oxford during the Danish summer break. Something we did last year.

Ensuring the home teams have their best riders available is the fixture planning priority for the teams..

Zach Cook will miss several Saturday meetings away from home, however Poole still signed him and said they would do their best to avoid clashes but that some would be inevitable...

That's the state of play in UK Speedway, unfortunately...

And some still don’t believe there’s such a thing as Global warming. As temperature records break every year.

yes its just broke the record from 1922, and also recorded in 1944. 🤣 no such thing as global warming back then.
