Is it just for Ipswich that Lawson doesn't do the "victory" parade? Does He it do it for Poole?

He does sometimes for Poole, not always though even after winning a race, I think a lot of fans do not like his attitude at times but he has been great for us mainly so I think we forgive him for that.

Any way on to 27

1

2 Rew

3 Brennan

4 New pole using Wroclaw connection

5 Musilak

6

7

Will we see Rew back next year I think we might.
Brennan is a no brainer after his struggles this season

A young exciting rider using the Wroclaw connection seems to be feasible

i would have Musilak back if the averages allow.

As for the reserve berths no idea. I guess if Pedersen does well he could be the number 6

As for the number 1 do they go the Doyle route or possibly try & temp Emil back? Or will we see someone new?

A lot depends on league structure & points limit but a refresh over the winter is required.

Ive only left King out because I think he’ll be expensive on his average after cracking 2026.

Strange Musielak was not in heat 15 again, I know he was last in heat 13 but surely he can be forgiven one bad race.

Doyle wants to come back to Ipswich next season. A GP Pole will be in, and they’re not going to let someone else benefit from Brennan having a lower average due to struggling at 1 this year. Plan is to retain him and fit him in the middle order.

He starts meetings well then finishes them poorly. It’s becoming a theme at least at Foxhall.

Well done to the Leicester Speedway Supporters Club for organising a coach to Ipswich allowing more fans to travel.

Makes a big difference to any meeting when a decent amount of away fans turn up..

In Football the Premier League cap away fans at £30..

Speedway should do some similar reduced cost prices for away fans...

I would love to see Doyle back, although his average could be a problem..... It's only going one way at BV

I was told last night that he really wants to come back, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be in the team. Just that it’s a pretty straightforward deal for us to do if we want it. Think it will depend on who else they can get in first.

I was referring to the victory parade after the match is won with the rest of the team.

To get 8 teams in the top tier I am sure some work will be done on averages...

Bringing 8 competitive teams to the tapes will be the aim...

Maybe even less riders per team to deliver that "wider difference" between the leagues, that Richard Coleman has mentioned needs to happen..

If UK Speedway is having to go head to head next season with Denmark and Sweden for the same Polish contracted riders, then maybe less riders per team would mean higher payments to them?..

Denmark have five rider teams, and riders have five and six rides...

I thought that Doubling Up would be a key advantage for the UK, when attracting those riding in Poland, given the number of total meetings would far outweigh Sweden and Denmark...

Stopping DU'ing for these riders no longer gives the UK this advantage...

Possibly they will go home and away twice to raise the number of meetings higher than Denmark and Sweden?...

It’s a bit strange with Lawson because we had him here for a season under Louis a few years back and he was good as gold. Never missed the parade truck from memory, or any meetings. Hawkins even admitted last winter on a podcast that they made a mistake letting him go because he’s proved himself to be a consistent scorer and reliable.

It could simply have been Louis because we know he was a stickler for professionalism and wouldn’t have accepted any nonsense from his riders or they’d have been out the door.

Certainly adds to the atmosphere....:D

yes i could feel the seethe via the internet!

I would say that it was the best crowd i had seen last night so what with streaming and that hopefully the meeting ran at a profit.

The issue I do have is variety - I am back at Foxhall next week and its Northampton - last time it was a close meeting 47-43 but in 4 matches at Foxhall I will have only seen 2 or the 5 other teams.

He was certainly pleased with it, especially as it was on an off race night.

He came up to the sponsors lounge after the meeting for a chat and a few beers. Had the perfect opportunity to have a good chat about various things and he was happy to answer all my questions.

Wont go in to what was said on here because that would be unfair, but he’s a really nice fella! Genuinely hope it works out well for him here he seems to have taken to the place already and is enjoying himself.

No idea on averages yet but I'm thinking something like.

1. Doyle

2. Ellis

3. King

4. Brennan

5. Polish Rider (Not Musielak)

6. Edwards

7. RS

I'd like Musielak back but it's clear as day that Paul Hurry gives up on him after one bad ride and that to me tells me everything I need to know when it comes to the pecking order in retaining riders from this year.

You mentioned a gp pole but do you think other than BZ would any of the other poles have the talent/technique to get round a small track like Ipswich ? would the budget be better spent on getting someone like Becker in or Emil back.

Be interesting to find out wouldn’t it? With all due respect to Becker who is a decent rider in his own right, this isn’t the kind of profile they’re aiming for. There is a clear acceptance from the top that we’ll need to strengthen in the heatleader department, and they want to bring someone in who with create a buzz and make an impact not just on track, but in the media.

Emil is done here unfortunately.

I think King will be too expensive from an average point of view next year.
