Ipswich vs Leicester KOC Final 1st leg Monday 27th July

Doyle wants to come back to Ipswich next season. A GP Pole will be in, and they’re not going to let someone else benefit from Brennan having a lower average due to struggling at 1 this year. Plan is to retain him and fit him in the middle order.

He starts meetings well then finishes them poorly. It’s becoming a theme at least at Foxhall.

Maybe Emil is the GP Pole?

Fair play to Leicester btw. Great turnout by their supporters. Kemp was outstanding! He can certainly win races around Foxhall these days

Apparently Kenp was using an engine borrowed from Joe Thompson!?

He said on BSN that the track had to be ridden hard and fast, if you held back you were more likely to struggle on the loose surface - which happened to him when he had to take avoiding action when entering the bend hard while chasing.

The track was awful.

I think King will be too expensive from an average point of view next year.

I do as well, Hurry seems to love him though with the amout of faith he puts in Danny when it comes to Heat 15's.

Question is whether Kacper Woryna's last attained British average gets re-assessed to 8.00 or not.

He would be assessed as a GP rider now wouldn't he?..

Be great to watch around Ipswich...

Stand well back though...:D

Kelv’s new favourite rider 😁

We’d all look forward to watching him though wouldn’t we? Mad as a box of frogs in the nicest possible way.

With the caveat of attitude and effort etc, the usual question marks when these kind of riders rock up over here.

Be interesting to find out wouldn’t it? With all due respect to Becker who is a decent rider in his own right, this isn’t the kind of profile they’re aiming for. There is a clear acceptance from the top that we’ll need to strengthen in the heatleader department, and they want to bring someone in who with create a buzz and make an impact not just on track, but in the media.

Emil is done here unfortunately.

Phew, it's not Dudek then, thanks goodness for that.

Having watched him for many years I don't think he ever gives less than 100%...

Proper Box Office....

If he does come as you say hopefully won't be in the Laguta mould of only fancying every other meeting.

Doyle, Woryna, Brennan + One of King or Musielak should be the backbone.

Looks rock solid to me, Just need to get the No.6 right in 2027 as it's been problematic all year imo.

Be handy if Mayfield can get Rushen out of King's Lynn.

It’s a bit strange with Lawson because we had him here for a season under Louis a few years back and he was good as gold. Never missed the parade truck from memory, or any meetings. Hawkins even admitted last winter on a podcast that they made a mistake letting him go because he’s proved himself to be a consistent scorer and reliable.

It could simply have been Louis because we know he was a stickler for professionalism and wouldn’t have accepted any nonsense from his riders or they’d have been out the door.

He regularly turns up late, ill prepared, has to borrow equipment and even a race suit. Often fails to participate in team talks and victory parades. Very unprofessional.  Having said all of that more often than not he's our best rider and out performs his average and expectation.

Never any issues with Richard when he was with us at Lakeside and I think it helped that he seemed to have a very good working relationship with Cookie, extremely well liked by the fans and won the last ever race at the arena.

Are you expecting the limit to increase to about 45? 😁

I reckon about 35 with more morphine being injected into the business model!

Doyle 8.14
? 4.17
Musielak 6.79
Brennan 6.37
Woryna 8.00
KJP 3.53
Total: 37.00

There's no reason average wise why that kind of team couldn't happen

I'm assuming Rushen gets the -25% discount like Flint did this year.

Feel a bit bad for the lad for saying it because he’s been down in the dumps over his form this year but from a selfish point of view we could do with Tom staying at 1 and continuing to drop his average. They’re fully aware not to allow another club to benefit from a poor year here with us. The plan is to retain him and slot him in the middle order.

Brennan may have other ideas obviously so it’ll be down to him but they definitely want to keep him next year so we’ll have to wait and see what Tom wants to do.

Doyle

Woryna

Brennan

Would be my best guess as a top three as it stands unless a certain other Pole decides to give UK a bash 😁

Rules at the AGM permitting.

Anyway, that’s all for a 2027 thread.

Well done to Leicester on getting one hand on the trophy. Can’t argue at all really, they rode well which they always seem to do here!
