Also Worky have good racing but struggle with crowds. So not like it works the other way either. I cant think of any tracks that consistently have good racing apart from Glasgow, Worky and BV. Lol There are such things as planned intervals and breaks between races so that one can check on all the haters. Incidentally the absence of Lawson did not seem to affect the attendance. In fact it was an excellent crowd. Let's hope Jason Edwards does well on Saturday

So you don't watch the Scorpions stream, or BSN when they are at the EWR for great racing on a well prepared track?

What exactly would you like Berwick to do short of cutting seats from the stands or chopping bits off football pitch that without there would be no stadium. The corners were widened but with such narrow straights the capabilities of the stadium are limited. The track prep has been impressive this year especially with the aforementioned football teams regularly playing on a Saturday.

So it's alright to criticise Pooles Wimborne Road circet but as soon as I mention Berwicks track then that's not ok. What exactly do you want Poole to do with the track as we don't own the stadium . To widen the track without knowing how many more seasons there are left at the stadium doesn't make sense as well as the cost.
Bitza
1 hour ago, LisaColette said: Well i dont buy the Berwick one so that evens that out lol. Funny how Poole gets the most fans through the gate though. 👀 Tbf first half the meeting was a bit of close racing esp between Morris and Masters. Jenkins also had few close battles. Most overtaking was done by Kennett and Newman, so i would say more passing then usual. Although watching Kennett is like watching a young rider going full throttle. 150% every race, fair play to him. Backs off when he has to though! The literally closest racing was between Morris and Kemp, lovely move? well I thought so.

They got rid with out a replacement lined up and seemingly just going to use guests for the foreseeable. There’s plenty of riders out there. Maybe on lesser averages but they should have someone in that place. Very different situation with Bowes, as he was injured, Poole didn't "get rid of him". They are fortunate his average didn't drop a lot so can choose good guests, but the rules allow them to do that, they don't need to sign a replacement. I think there should be a limit on how long a club can use a guest to cover an injury, but can't blame Poole for making the best of the rules. I would say guests for injuries is far more acceptable, than guests for riders racing elsewhere.

Poole could bring in a ndl rider and guide and develop them. But that’s not there way. Well everyone else is wrong lol! Poole could have replaced Bowes anytime if they had a suitable replacement lined up. Plus I don't think there's a single Champ club who would replace a 5 pointer with a NL rider. Poole are clearly stronger without Bowes, but have done no wrong.

As a Berwick fan you ran Poole very close when Lawson was missing with illness (he also missed Ipswich and got a 7 day ban) and Berwick ran with a guest before knocking Poole out of the Cup. Have faith........😇 Lawson would've git a 7 day ban for being too ill to race for Poole, but as he was too ill to race in Denmark instead he didn't get to ban. Ludicrous situation. I don't remember him getting a 7 day ban for missing an Ipswich match, unless my memory is failing me?

Poole didnt have a meeting that week so only affected Ipswich. Edit - checked on updates was sick on 6th July and on the thursday that week they had r/r for him. Odds On
Interesting reading the comments regarding the Poole track, they seem very unfounded and unwarranted...The Poole track has always been consistent, nothing has changed since the days of Schofield, Crump, Rossiter etc the only thing that has changed is that nowadays it is the likes of Lawson and Cook.
