WookieboyDon
It has been announced that the 2026 British Final is to be televised LIVE on both ITV4 and ITV X! This is amazing news and fantastic for British Speedway. We cannot let this opportunity slip by to show what an amazing sport we have and love. Hopefully this is just the start.

SpeedwayJoe
As I commented on Karlitos YouTube video: “This is a GOLDEN opportunity for British Speedway, something which the authorities need to take with both hands. Just don’t mess it up! Many cynics may say ‘oh it’s only in ITV 4’, but in order to make a journey, first you have to take the hardest step which is the first. Good luck to everyone involved.”
Aries
This is fantastic news. Phil said ticket sales are poor, they need to hand out a load of free tickets and pack the place out then because this is a huge opportunity to sell the product at the best race track in the country. Makes a world of difference with a packed stadium and great atmosphere.

Get a pop up stand with a bike and vids of speedway playing etc, up the town centre, and get rid of plenty of tickets, and fill the place. Look at the bigger picture. noaksey
This is great news, I wonder who is paying the broadcast costs but either way it's a great opportunity to get a terrestial broadcaster interested

If my source is correct they will be looking at a 2% share of between 10,000,000 and 15,000,00 Saturday night viewers. I suspect this is best described as ambitious. Unless ITV advertise it (unlikely) it's mainly going to be speedway fans, not many people will be casually browsing ITV4 on Saturday evening. chun
Short notice. Had they had more time, could have advertised it at target markets…other motorsports etc

There are about 20,000 to 25,000 who attend the 15 tracks I would suggest.... Most of those people will watch which should give a decent reach for a Saturday evening slot on Itv4.. A shame there hasn't been any coordinated fans travel from each club, even if a reduced admission price was needed , to get some rvisual representation there, which could be mentioned on comms.. And made the place look more full, and the sport more popular.. It's basically a free advert for UK Speedway on Saturday, one that should be used well...
