As Lawson has eloquently explained on several occasions, creating and going over the 'blue groove' allows rubber to transfer from the tyres giving more traction (grip) if you catch it correctly. This gives an inside line as well as a wider outside line. Q.E.D.!

The track was perfect for great racing last night, if a tad under watered. The new bowser lets out too little water IMO. Make the jets bigger!  In warm conditions by the time the tractor has done a lap, 50% of what was sprayed out has evaporated.

Wimborne Road is now a very smooth track. No bumps of the past.

Poole are massive favourites, but Berwick have shown shocks are possible.

Very true and I hope you’re right, but Lightcap takes the Pirates up a notch.

I think this might be the closest we’ve seen to the 2000 Exeter Falcons. The 2025 Pirates are definitely stronger away from home than the Falcons were back then.

With the addition of Lightcap, there are now no weak heats for Poole.

Good on them. I just wish they’d prepare a track that affords those excellent riders an opportunity to entertain.

They did last night, plenty of overtaking

There is no mention if this was from last nights meeting though.

This is what we’re racing on now days … The second photo is with a nearly new tyre for comparison. I just think to myself maybe a competitors tyre would/could/has been better ? 👀
We’re putting our lives on the line every time we go racing. The priority should be giving riders the safest and best-performing tyre possible whatever that may be.
Maybe we should be given the choice to use the tyre we feel is best for us.
Maybe Sweden has got it right with their tyre rules ?
I know my opinion.
Ultimately I want what’s best for the sport. If speedway wins we all win. Some people think this is moaning when in reality it’s just facts and if no-one is willing to say anything, nothing will ever change.

I guess it's not that often he has to take 6 point-scoring rides.

Oh there is loads of Poole hater's!!

Only because they have a successful management who knows how to construct a side that often wins the championship. Hats off to them. Other clubs take notice.

British Speedway Promotion Ltd, well surely that name contravenes some trade description law.

Seems to me that the Championship may not be perfect but it is working fairly well, a reasonable number of teams racing to a decent standard. The main problem in British Speedway that needs to be addressed, is the Premiership, too few teams, racing close to second tier standards. If the aim is to make the Premiership TV viable, improve the product. Don't stifle what's working to make a poor product look comparatively better, because the British Premiership is still going to be second rate compared to the other European leagues.

Message to BSP Ltd, get off your ar.es do some promoting, work towards making the Premiership a premium product, work on the bits that are broken not the bits that work.

I think the issue will be if two teams move up somehow they/the league will need to get 4-6 top quality riders back over to the UK which won't be easy even with six teams we have the situation where Northampton are struggling, Leicester (Douggie maybe) don't have an out and out number one, Lynn look okay but never seem to click, Belle Vue have two world class riders but one has said no UK 2027, Ippo solid but same as Leicester no number 1, Sheffield we are all praying Jack Holder comes through but in worst case they don't have a number one and also financial issues. So even with the status quo we probably might need next year four number one's before you have to strengthen up two other teams moving up. And also the issue of will the Bates carry on one more season.
