Hopefully something big from mayfield Was but I think that was on the basis that we were getting Woryna. Doyle was the backup plan according to Aries, Mayfield would've known about Kacper's stance way in advance imo.

Hopefully something big from mayfield Total speculation on my part but if Lambert does come back I wonder if it will be at Ippo , Guy has financial muscle, its the track for the british gp and Richard gp head honcho plus rumours bspl might top up his package. The downside as others have said even if he's on 6-7k per meeting its still buttons compared to Poland and will he want the travelling agg hopefully so as he's a great rider to watch in full flight. I'm wondering whether he'll race in Britain at all after Dan Bewley's OTT reaction. I don't know why Dan would've been so bothered from a personal point of view when the Polish rule wouldn't effect him considering he wants to ride in Britain every year. Maybe he was speaking up for his SoN partner Robert Lambert?

Find Riding Gear Tobi less so, sorry Tobi. He’s maxed out his average as has King and I’m pretty sure that King will be in the side so it wouldn’t be good having Tobi and King as two of our three heatleaders. This is one of my biggest frustrations in Speedway, fans (or clubs) not wanting riders to come back because they did "too well"

As a fan, do you want your club to win things or not? It’s that simple. Musielak and King make poor signings because of their GSA. Brennan has had an absolute stinker of a season but should be the first name on the team sheet. The perverse way Speedway works. And will always be the case whilst team limits are set below what it takes to win a meeting It means season after season averages inflate and eventually if you keep inflating something it reaches the point it goes POP! Team total needs to be at 42 as a basic Below that you weaken the product gradually Raise the limit and over time the quality can rise - so long that quality is available willingly and able

TTT
PTA info says Lidsey is back at Northampton, You'd also assume that Kye Thomson is back. Does that make Adam Ellis available for a Witches return?

He won two GP's that year, and the British Final as well... Obviously was allowed to ride.!! Edited 4 hours ago by mikebv

That, and let whoever finishes top of the table be the benchmark for the year after... Fans build an affinity with riders and then they move on!!! Absolutely crackers from a business perspective... You become successful and then have to start again the year after!! What nonsense is that?.. Using the top of the table teams' figure would also mean riders not having to (ahem) "manage" their averages late in the season.. Kids in particular love having "heroes" so to maintain their interest, let their "heroes" stay if the club wants it happen... (THE biggest opportunity for the sport is more kids as they bring paying adults!!)... Due to the lack of any large number of new riders coming into UK Speedway each year, what we have is akin to shuffling exactly the same deckchairs on the Titanic each close season... Put simply, have an incremental growth plan for the sport, and stop dumbing down..

I agree with much of this but do think team strengths need equalising somehow - it works well in other sports. If Ipswich had been allowed to keep their side from 1998, not only would the 99 season probably have bankrupted them if they'd retained all riders, would other teams have actually stood a chance of competing either? There should be a much wider gap between Championship and Premiership.

There should be a much wider gap between Championship and Premiership. One of the "weird" plusses for Speedway is the actual lack of huge financial rewards for winning.. No team would put together a team of "World Beaters" as they couldn't afford it, or, even if they could, their own crowds would suffer, as watching them hammer opponents each meeting would become boring... It doesn't even need massive differences in team averages, just stop moving the sport backwards each season... And having a "Manchester United" that brings the largest crowds in when they visit can't be a bad thing for the sport.. Other "Minority" sports, like both Rugby codes, Basketball and Ice Hockey have their regular "top teams", who bring in good home fan turnouts when visitng other teams.. It should always be about moving the sport forward..
