Belle Vue - Remaining Fixtures.

Can anyone tell me how many home fixtures Belle Vue have this season?  If you also know the dates that would be great.

we have just the 1 home meeting left which was the postponed fixture yesterday, no new date as been announced as of yet but im hearing 14th September as the potential date for it

Dan was testing at Wroclaw today and is back in the team for the Ekstraliga Semi against Leszno on Sunday.

 

Whether he will be allowed to return for Belle Vue's run-in is another matter...

Think I have seen something that dan said he would not be riding for belle Vue for the rest of this season and everyone was happy with the job Jason Doyle is doing . Not sure if this is allowed under the injury rules

No he can't come back in anyway.

But Jason Doyle deserves to stay in the for the Playoffs and will do a great job.  Dan is better just riding once a week, his body wont be ready to do 2 leagues anyway.

Not that it will happen but Dan can retake his place in the team should he or the club want to. 

Charles Wright returned to Redcar when fit in July. He took the place of Nikolai Klindt, his injury replacement even though Charles had a higher average and the team total was over the limit.

Sorry Superace, you not doing well with the rules today! First not realising there are no assets and now this. The only way you can be right is if BV said Doyle was a 'permanent' replacement rather than a temporary one.

So the injury curse is not relevant to Belle Vue now that Dan is fit again for the play offs but you don't want to use him.

It's great to see Dan return as early as he has managed and even more remarkable to see how good he looked. Hopefully he doesn't suffer any significant reaction and can have a storming end to the season

I do feel however that as Doyle has been retained that it should now become a permanent declaration

It would be unfair for example that Belle Vue could bring Dan back in for Doyle mid play offs should (heaven forbid) he suffer an injury when the other sides don't have this option 

He either comes back immediately or the option should disappear

If Doyle was temporary then he should be now permanent if they are not bringing back Dan. Very happy to see Dan back but its a shame we won't see him in the play offs.

In a sport that uses such ludicrous rules to fudge its way to the end of every season, you would think they would want to fudge a few more rules and bring in top level riders wouldn't you?...

You cannot be a "bit" Mickey Mouse, it is all or nothing, so just contrive the play offs and get some decent crowds, or, at least, some decent stream numbers...

The best option for the sport would to have both Dan & Jason involved in the play offs but the rules don’t allow it so (this year) Sheffield have to use guests or RR, which is crazy. 

I think there is a good chance that those requesting a late season rule change to potentially impede The Aces, could see it happen. It’s happened before and someone from outside the sport had to step in to ensure the rules were adhered to, much to the disgust of BSF.

Someone from outside the sport overseeing things…there’s an idea.

Considering how much Wroclaw have forked out for Bewleys rehab & return from injury for their cause.. I can't see anyone other than Doyle wearing #5 for Aces for the rest of the season.

Well now Kings Lynn are out of the play offs, Max is available for Sheffield.

Yes It is a shame Dan can't ride for Sheffield like Lambert like Lambert did for Belle Vue a few years ago.

The powers that be correctly brought in the ringer rule after Wolves signed Tai for the last three weeks for their league campaign before making & winning the playoffs. 

It didn’t allow for injury replacement but was changed after they saw the error of their ways. Unfortunately, Belle Vue were the second team to take advantage of the rule change that season but critically it meant they could maintain their strong finish and clinch the title. The injured rider caveat was swiftly removed and this had the desired effect the following season as the table topping Aces suffered a cruel injury blow to Charles. The trouble now is other teams have had to suffer from this ridiculous rule change that sees what used to be a necessary evil in the guest rider facility, turn into a mandatory rule - nuts.

Wow a reply from Ouch, I feel deeply honoured and privileged!! I thought I was was on your ignore list. It is a great shame Wolves are no longer a team, another one on the list of ex teams.

Not yet they ain’t. Ipswich still need two points and with Doyle in town Thursday and the way Ipswich struggled against a depleted Sheffield last night, that isn’t a certainty. The last fixture is Leicester away so likely no points there. It’s possible we stay on 18 points. 
 

Lynn have Leicester at home, Northampton away.  Difficult to see Lynn getting the bonus against Leicester, but if they win at Northampton the bonus will be theirs and they’ll also finish on 18 if they beat Leicester at home also.

Not sure who finishes above who in that scenario, I haven’t looked that closely other than the points on the board  

Let’s see what happens Thursday.
