topaz325
Hopefully the weather will be kind on Saturday and this match can go ahead to complete the Comets fixtures for 2026. The Comets need a win to lift them off the bottom of the League table. Jody Scott will be missing for Redcar as he is riding at Plymouth in the U19 final at Plymouth. Redcar have Reid Battye covering for Scott and Nathan Ablitt covering for Jake Mulford, meanwhile Workington have Mickie Simpson in for the banned Max Perry. A collection for the Ben Fund will take place also. Edited 20 hours ago by topaz325
Neila
Think mullford could be missing as in a long track event on Sunday and often they have to report/practice in the morning
Fortythirtyeight
So Bears already missing two riders and isn’t Wright due in Poland on Sunday ? Let’s hope he’s got travel arrangements nailed down.

Isn't he riding Friday nite and travelling back Saturday, think that's the reason of a 5pm start

Would have normally attended this one but I might check on the weather forecast first as it’s now a bit of a nothing fixture.

Redcar might have asked for a later start time ? weather for the weekend looks good .

Yes this one did, Redcar wanted the league season finished, so by delaying the start it would allow Charlie some time to arrive in the UK and reach worky
Neila
Info for any fans home, away or neutral 🙃 the main road into Workington A66 closed at stainburn roundabout. Also the road past marks and Spencer and the police station over the river towards Northside roundabout also closed. So best access to the speedway is either from cockermouth go towards maryport then onto Workington. Or further on the A66 go towards Whitehaven then at lillyhall turn back towards Workington and go through the town centre then towards the track past the old stadium. Bit of a nightmare but locals have had nearly 12 months of this
geoff100
So mr wright misses the plrc to ride in poland with no ban,we then bend over backwards starting at 5 pm to give him time to get back from poland again ,fri night at 6pm with a cloudy sky it was dark so what chance have we got to get it all done in light, then to cap it all max gets a ban for missing a nld fixture midweek, and we wonder why crowds are down.

And there's the Ben Fund collection and a junior match to fit in as well as Promoters Bain statement on the clubs future.

The way the sport is ran (in the UK), would be laughable... If only it didn't do it so much damage...
