Four extra races for the fans, and plenty of track time for developing riders... Expenses covered only, eg fuel, tyres, travel, with the track time being "free"... There were 12 participants listed, but only 9 started. A further two (Norman & Fletcher [?] ) withdrew leaving just 7.
Gambo95
So much for the FIM referee. Doesn't even stop the race for wrong gate positions.

Bagpuss
Could / would have got something out of that had Fricke not shafted Cook in heat 11. Which is quite remarkable after the dreadful start. Thank F 2026 is over!

Plenty of examples in the other direction as well of riders not tipped to do much, who suddenly come to life and go on to have great careers. You never can tell. Hopefully they are both back, would welcome Fricke and Bomber too if they wanted to return but cho to the other three for me.

Jody has had 2/3 seasons in Champ before full season in the Prem? Whereas Cooper did both at same time. Throwing yourself in the deep end comes to mind! TheSmiler
So much talk about Cairns & Rushen, but I am thoroughly enjoying watching Harrison plod along quite nicely at only 19. Would take him back at Northampton along with Kye Thomson. They should both be the first names on the team sheet for 27. I also have noticed how much Harris enjoys the track at Northampton, and with him living up the road in Rugby, I can absolutely see him as a Fox next year. 1

Lets not forget how well he has done in the Prem though, averaging a shade under 5 in his first senior season with much of it in the top five is impressive. Not sure anyone could have expected any more.
marko
Feel sorry for Mitch, he clearly loves to have a blast around the outside but has the two of the worst home tracks he could have in each league to do that. Next season he should ride for Belle Vue and Scunthorpe, he will double his average.

mikebv Posted yesterday at 03:01 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:01 PM Didn't know this meeting was on until I came on here.. Saw the result and to be honest I was a bit surprised to see that Sheffield gave Kings Lynn permission to use Max Fricke.. 😁
