It can be done, but it would require som form of objective ranking system. Sort of a system where each meeting and heat result is weighted using som form av formulas depending on league/competition typ, riding position, opponents, heat score, meeting score. It would be very complicated and probably quite impractical.

Now is just the time the promotion should be planning for next season . We will be finished end of August barring rain offs which look unlikely at the moment. -

Your wrong about this, the track was watered yesterday as I watched the tractor waiting for the riders to finish there track walk but then I think it was the meeting sponsors on a track walk delayed the watering until they moved out of the way this was about 5.30 so that's when the track was watered. The weather and drying wind just dried it out. I stood on the back straight and there was zero dust there, obviously not saying there was no dust as could clearly see there was but just stand away from the wind direction. Bar the results no one can complain of the quality of racing the last two meetings as there has been more passing than most tracks see. -

Have to disagree with "product on offer isn't what it was". I think the racing has been some of the best we have seen this season. We have something of an issue with underwatering pre meeting often with dust in heat 1. How would you prep the track out of interest ? people have differing opinions that I like to hear while riders also have differing demands that some don't mind expressing. I think Steve knows work is required on turn 1, maybe the close season will see this carried out but I dont know. Big hole is not something I recognise. Without figures not many people will know what the crowds are like in comparison to the last two seasons but i've certainly seen it lower in previous seasons compared to yesterday, Plymouth, Poole (couple of occasions) and Scunny come to mind from 2024 season. You can once again point to the fact that Speedway is caught in a time vortex from a bygone era. The people running it stubbornly refuse to change . Apparently crowds are lower at most tracks, Sheffield issued a warning last week on this very subject which no one wants to see. -

No excuses for track prep yesterday, shocking amount of dust from Ht 1, why was the track not watered b4 the start? Any people attending for the 1st time wouldn't be rushing back, Sat night ,might have been planning a night out after the meeting, instead going home for a shower. Pointless trying to attract new fans IMO until they make a better effort to reduce the dust. I was there an hour b4 start and no watering took place. Racing was 1st class, certainly wasn't an issue. Don't think there was any dull races. - Today

Don't think a lack of money for improvement is the issue, floodlights are ready to install when the electricity company decides it has time to install the mains. No mains no lights -

For the people who would like a team change, can I ask who you would try and bring in at this late stage of the season that could be any better than what we have now ? -

Best track in the country and no one wants to go and watch plus obviously a lack of money to improve things. Sums UK speedway up perfectly. Almost done. -

All the negative about the team but no mention of track prep The track is very poor recently First bend down to base after ht2 last week Big hole right in middle of 1st/2nd bend this week Crowd is down but the product on offer is not what it was Catch 22 if you want paying public you have to give something worth paying for I go every week but I'll be honest I no longer get down about it or miss it if we have no meeting 1 weekend -
Fine at the moment, sun shining.

How is the weather for tonight? Been sent a video from Newcastle and it is peeing down?

Poole Stadium is hosting a Military Tattoo in September. That must be the first non-speedway event at the stadium since the greyhounds ended.

Ipswich vs Leicester KOC Final 1st leg Monday 27th July

I’d switch Dan Thompson and Nick Morris around, think Dan and Kyle Howarth would make a better combination and putting Nick Morris with Ryan Douglas wouldn’t impact Morris’ inability to team ride as Douglas generally is a get out front and put head down sort of rider -
There is only 5 points between 5th & 9th place (excluding Holder who will get a wildcard) with 4 GP's to go, that covers Woryna, Madsen, Fricke, Dudek & Thomsen. Three of those will likely fill out the top seven. Lebedevs and Doyle, a further six and eight points away, would need a couple of finals, unlikely on this years form, to feature in the seven. Thomsen is having a great season all round but will run out of GP's if Holder and Bewley are back for the last two. Unless the 4th wildcard comes into play from SEC duplication (and he gets it), or Freddie retires he will miss out unfortunately. As regards Kvech, who also will not make next years GP's he is a younger rider (for the modern age), having a great season and still on the improve. Highly likely that he can be a GP regular in the future.
