Can someone ask Kelvin Tatum who Will Kurns is? - Yesterday

Not sure on this one, my gut feeling is that Cairns has the greatest potential, but there's no denying that Rushen stepped up another level tonight (except for gate selection). Still Rushen seems to struggle as 4 for the Pirates while Cairns flourishes at 2, sure Lawson looks after Will while Kerr seems more in competition with Cooper. But with young lads in 6 months everything could change dramatically anyway.

Luke Littler moved the PDC World Championship viewing figures to nearly five million, but they started at about two million. When Sky showed Elite league speedway, viewing figures were about 80,000. I’ve no idea what viewing figures would be now for BSN/SGP, but I’d suggest it’s likely an underwhelming fraction. Darts had already been on the up for years with a bit of a cult audience for some events. Speedway in this country is (sadly) still trying to prevent its own death. -
On neither. Some of us like to keep our sanity.

We have only just got electric in deepest Hertfordshire, no social media unfortunately 😂😂

Coops a far better prospect than cairns, just that coops has not got daddy's money to spend on top machinery like cairns

To be fair to the lad. His gating wasn't too shabby tonight. 7 wins out of one. One off of three (Lambert). If Coops had taken one, I think he would have had a good chance of a rostrum. -

Imagine if Cooper Rushen won that Final. It could've been our Luke Littler moment that changes the game for British Speedway imo. -

It was a BVTV production for ITV. Can’t see it on ITVX yet to catchup, will check again tomorrow. -

Not a bad advert for speedway, although the racing was only average. There is quite a bit of room for improvement.... Camera work was poor I am surprised people like Emma Jones, she asks fairly dumb questions. Rory struggled at times. interviews/trophy presentation dragged on too long. -
Stop going on about Laguta, your confusing them, he’s not even there.

Battle for young top Pirate has heated up a notch after tonight’s British Final. Wills will not like Coops coming to his home track and getting all the plaudits, especially as he had a bit of a duff meeting. It will just make them go even harder at it, to the benefit of us fans.

Was helping Leon flint out, that's the nearest Greg has ever got to a trophy when he was near the rostrum with flint 😄

Emma is ace. Alongside the GPs, she does work for Leeds United and also for one of the horse racing channels. Always bright, bubbly and professional. She does a mega job. I thought all in all it was a good product tonight, tv show wise. I do think a little more could have been done in commentary for anyone new to the sport but most of all… …someone should have said something along the lines of “If you are new to speedway and enjoyed this evening, there are speedway clubs around the county you can visit for the first time. Go on to the British Speedway website to find out your nearest track and head down there to experience it in the flesh.” -
Watching tonight, it was clear the "missing bit" is the crowd engagement... Wroclaw v Lublin last week had a stadium rocking, as did, to be fair, the two GP's at the NSS.. The racing is one thing, the crowd interaction is the other part of the equation which will engage those watching on TV... Some very good racing got met with a polite round of applause, and programmes being filled in...

Yeah I suppose he will have had some role or other, I shouldn't let my dislike of sweaties affect my judgement.

A few years back she was a presenter for Championship rugby league on Viaplay Sports.😉 -
Not often you get a meeting with no false starts,no falls, and no engine failures, just a shame the racing was pretty average.
-
He was wearing the same British speedway t shirt as the rest of the on screen team. So I would guess he was working in some capacity.

I thought it was a decent evenings entertainment. Clearly not the usual broadcast team from the TNT days, more a budget broadcast team, but that’s down to ITV who were never going to throw tons of money at a one off production. However, I think British Speedway can give itself a pat on the back and consider it a job well done, rider presentations were on point, background promotional material looked fresh, the racing got better as the meeting progressed. The interviews were a bit ‘bumpy’ in places, but I don’t think it detracted from the overall presentation. More importantly there wasn’t any cock up’s!

And instragram, you know where the more modern generation go 😉

She is good and down to earth ,but trying to deal with some ignorant GP riders is a challenge but she copes well .IMO
