  1. Past hour
  2. 1. Lidsey 2. Batchelor 3. Klindt 4. Zagar 5. Iversen 6. Thomsen 7. Harrison What does everyone feel about that?
  3. The Aces take on my favourites to once again be the best team in the land and top the table as they have made a habit of lately. Lots of question marks with The Aces. Will Tate finally get going as we know he can? Will Will be the star fans expect? Will Norick get back on track and move forward after stalling for a season or two? Will Peter turn the clock back if only a bit? He is the most problematic signing for me and not very “Belle Vue”. Once Bangs went beyond our budget maybe potentials were scarce. I could see The Aces breaking the mould and look to team changes mid season with this team place but I hope I’m wrong. We are dropping over 2.50 points in this position but that is countered with the limit dropping by 3.00 for all. As with any team if some or all come good then we are sorted but if not I still expect to meet the tigers in the PO final where anything can happen. Tonight 47-43 and another NSS last heat decider.
  4. I hope to get there this season and in reality as a new venture being competitve at home is key for them. Its nice to see the plans at least getting put in place.
  5. Hi guys, the link to this weeks meeting for the online stream should be up later today.
  6. When I have days like yesterday I truly believe there is no hope for this sport to continue in any kind of professional way. Self interest rules and is displayed on here every other post and the fact it’s fans now running the sport, I can’t see that changing. The kick back when a team dragged in someone from outside the sport to ensure the rule book was applied fairly and as it had been earlier in that season was deafening. The rule was only broken in the first place by a top table promoter trying to gain an advantage with the backing of many. Self interest and rule breaking is hated unless it gives their team an advantage and then it’s ok, so the bigwigs think they can get away with it as they have the backing of the masses. These same masses then question way the sport is in a bad way. Unbelievable. People want an independent body as long as it’s their independent body that will bend to their will. Anyone else in that role is seen as the enemy without foundation.
  7. Not sure what anyone else expects other than to be competing in the bottom two, late to the tapes so to speak, all done last minute, the track isn't complete, no real home advantage once tapes do go up, Northampton is very much up against it before a green light goes on but, if they can offer entertainment, can get the name out there, and survive into 2027 who knows... I'll certainly try and make one night this season and take my old man, but really do hope it works out for them, hopefully win a few meetings if they do then congratulations to them as its literally backs to the walls stuff already
  8. But for this to happen British speedway has got to get it's house in order, clubs to give intention to run etc by the end of August, so these top riders can sign up and know where they are potentially gonna ride at in 2027, before they commit to other leagues
  9. It's all very Birmingham isn't it but that's no surprise to anyone They will have to try and change it up as the season progresses but even that has become incredibly difficult now
  10. They’d have run in to the same problems we did at Ipswich. Speaking to the new promotion last week, they contacted several GP riders and all “politely declined” as they already had their season mapped out. A few of them WERE open to riding here in ‘27 though so more options likely on the table for both Ipswich and Northampton next year.
  11. Based on those 3 signings hate to say but I think there going to be the whipping boys. Hope I'm wrong
  12. Today
  13. So what averages are Troy & Kye on?
  14. Sadly, the incumbents running the sport were firmly never going to change given they were more than happy with their lot... So Adrian, like so many progressive thinkers before him, who were also willing to lead change, decided it was a waste of their time and talents... So many see potential in the sport if the ludicrous operating model was basically ripped up and started again... Just imagine if you launched a brand new team sport today and used the UK Speedway operating model and buinsess plan? (Spoiler Alert). You wouldn't be a success... Because, clearly, and obviously, it isn't fit for purpose within a (bona fide) team sport framework... Some see their businesses as stand alone entities that need to pay mortgages, and some only see a hobby which let's them enjoy a tiny modicum of recognition for their position, and a summer of "evenings out at the Speedway"... Anyone with the leadership skills of vision, drive, and ambition, will always struggle to overcome a majority who possess none of those attributes...
  15. Great to see Luke get a rising star spot, a real prospect. Good luck to him in the premiership
  16. Pleased to see Luke Harrison in there, liked what we saw from him last season and exactly the kind of rider that the RS system is about.
  17. I want the link as well, but I’m sure it will appear later in the week so be patient.
  18. Fancy Zagar to be in there along with Lidsey and Klindt. We’ll see.
  19. Sheffield to win both legs. Belle Vue are far too top heavy from what I see. They will rely on Bewley and Kurtz to max out every meeting to win.
  20. so far 1. TBC 2. Troy Batchelor 3. 4. 5. 6. Kye Thomsen 7. Luke Harrison 11am for the rest of the reveal of the "top 4" what are we all expecting, is there a surprise big hitter in there or not? Probably going to be way off but Lidsey, Klindt, Iversen & Tungate to complete the top 4?
  21. New season, Jack Holder still a dick …Bomber still banging in the mileage
