  1. Past hour
  2. As always interesting to see Bet 365’s less, actual, more market. These are their actual( race points) 20 heats only Zmarzlik 12 Kurtz 12 Bewley 10 Lindgren 9 Doyle 9 J Holder 8 Fricke 8 Lambert 8 Thomsen 7 Lebedevs 7 Vaculik 7 Kubera 6 Janowski 5 Michelsen 5 The 2 riders not quoted in their book are Kvech and Huckenbeck and they expect them to score 7 between them.
  3. What a great thing to say when your the man that actually runs the whole sport in this country.
  4. In light of the SCB warning to NORA riders below, who are the SCB to dictate to the SRBF who does and does not get funds!?! When the SRBF are giving out funds to tracks to provide them with the starting gate tower protectors and even paid for Ben Barker's hotel accomodation when his kid was in hospital having treatment to suggest that NORA riders would not be "entitled" to funds or benefits seems to be an overstep of their authority, surely it's down to the SRBF trustees and not the SCB, somebody seems to have ideas above their station and should not be meddling in SRBF affairs, absolutely disgusting! RIDERS NOTICE Competing at events held on non SCB Homologated (licenced) Tracks and / or events for which an SCB Event Permit has not been issued. The SCB wishes to bring the following to the attention of all riders holding an SCB Riders Registration. 1. Personal Accident Insurance. Your British Speedway Insurance cover is NOT valid at non SCB Permitted events and / or on non SCB Homologated tracks. Riders are strongly advised to check the level of Personal Accident Cover provided by the organiser. Additionally, riders should consider taking out an additional Personal Accident Insurance policy. 2. Injury at a non SCB Permitted Event and / or on a non SCB Homologated Track. In the event of rider who holds an SCB Riders Registration sustaining any injury at either a non SCB Permitted Event and / or at a non SCB Homologated track, a ‘Fit to Return’ letter from a their doctor / consultant must be submitted to the SCB prior to resuming racing at an SCB Permitted event on an SCB Homologated track. 3. Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. In the event of any injury sustained at a non SCB Permitted Event and / or on a non SCB Homologated track, with the exception of whilst competing for ‘Team GB’ anywhere in the world, you will not be entitled to any funds or other benefits from the SRBF. 4. BSPL Riders Agreement. Riders who have a BSPL Rider Agreement with a BSPL Promoter / Club must seek permission from their promoter / club prior to competing in non SCB Permitted Events and / or on non SCB Homologated tracks. An SCB Event Permit is automatically issued for any meeting listed on the BSPL Official Fixture List. Training and Amateur Event Permits, either Seasonal or One Event, are available from the SCB upon request.
  5. Who are the SCB to dictate to the SRBF who does and does not get funds!?!
  6. One of the major flaws is the failure to use these "grand gestures" for long term growth... Expecting a family to fork out over forty quid the week after they got something for much less, or even free, is the disconnect... I would suggest you need four or five visits to start to "follow" the sport, so these "specials" need to be used as a starting point for long term growth, not a "build it and they will come", game plan.. There should be constant communication with those who got the free tickets, with further special offers to keep them engaged... The IT world we live in is perfect for marketing to the right target population.. My old company would send you coupons if you went six weeks without using your loyalty card... Someone controlling attendance tracking at a Speedway Club would be worth their weight in gold... Kids' (and Adults), names and birthday details, sending Xmas cards to addresses, etc, etc, are absolute winners when it comes to keeping your name in the frame, and any free tickets shoukd only be given out with that info locked into your system.. A constant dialogue to get you attending by using promotional offers is very rewarding for growth...
  7. hearing its off all ready not seen it listed anywhere but not surprised after the rain yesterday
  8. Today
  9. Thank you for all that you have done and don't be lost to the Sport, there is one glaring omission from the names that you have mentioned so from that I take it that he was one of the influencers and probably the main one, feel free to correct me if i am wrong 🫠.
  10. Didn't Glasgow ask for volunteers to run streams a year or so ago but none were forthcoming so the idea got dropped so they weren't against it at all.
  11. Nope. Increase attendance but not revenue before attendance dropped back to normal levels with a decrease in revenue. All the initiatives haven’t worked to any great degree in the past though it could be said we are filling a leaky bucket given the age of our fan base so even standing still can be seen as a little victory. Being optimistic for a moment the current push for families using more modern channels of approach seems to be paying off with an always well attended bank holiday being very well attended, so the battle continues.
  12. Good work! It’s what life is all about, enjoying moments and having fun! I would be over for the GP and Gorzow this weekend but Sunday going South of France, bad timing! I’ll be watching Gorzow closely and praying! If you haven’t got tickets sit as close to the exit of bend two on the back straight for the best experience, it’s where the riders come out and warm up too and the teams sit. I heard that this is the biggest crowd Stal have had all season, so far around 10,000 tickets sold.
  13. Been to ZG before but never on first and second bend, the noise and atmosphere is amazing,Wrocław tonight and then on to Gorzow tomorrow then long drive home then on to Isle of Wight Tuesday to ride in the upright championship, life of the international jet setter lol
  14. Thursday the 11th would be the second leg of the 1st vs 4th play off. Ipswich would be in it.
  15. Is Fraser Bowes meeting off today? Think it possibly said something last night on the sportwar_____ (part of updates site) about Tarnow meeting being off and rearranged for next week.
  16. There will be less discussion in the return leg as there wont be any video evidence to look at.
  17. He was left no room typical unsatisfactory start although some may think there has to be contact.
  18. Maybe because meeting held under a PZM licence. It says if you're representing GB abroad your covered. Maybe it applies to all events and tracks under the jurisdiction of a National organisation.
  19. I also noticed people I knew from Hull who I'd never seen at Scunny, or any track, before Friday, hope they enjoyed what they saw. Some good racing, one or two incedents to talk about and - pretty sure I've never seen a 5-0 to each side in the one match. You can ever really tell with speedway, not 100%, keeps the sport interesting....
  20. Yesterday
  21. I don't know why the SCB keep picking on NORA, apart from being bullies? They don't stop riders racing grass track, long track, flat track or in Poland. These events are not on SCB tracks. In fact I'm sure when Charles Wright got injured in Poland a couple of years back he got support from the SRBF, which is contrary to the rules listed above!
  22. Pretty sure max will be back next week anyway
  23. He can’t either rides for Birmingham at NDT. Belle Vue v Edinburgh could be off with premier play offs.
