Belle Vue v Sheffield 2x Bank Holiday
Garry1603 replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fair enough, maybe I'm being overly critical. There is nearly always good racing at the NSS, I just thought that there were a few processional ones (especially early on) -
As far as I read last week, it is still Poland plus ONE other. If there has been a change to that it has not been made official.

Might be difficult for Woffy to do from Oz

2027 terrestrial tv maybe?
SteveLyric2 replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think you've posted your shopping list by mistake?! -
If my understanding is correct he tried one of his European engines last night and it just didn't work.
-
Correct. The out of place figure is the VOSDAL (Viewed On Same Day As Live) which is exceptionally high. Says to me that people on holiday were streaming it.
-
Average income of speedway views would be unattractive to those brands I am afraid.
-
Not sure all the fans would want to hear it in any case?!

As far as I know, the financial troubles started and ended with Boothby. The speedway itself was always solvent, only impacted by Boothby taking many out of the club. He's no longer involved, with Courtney, Austin and Timmo now at the helm. The speedway side of the business makes money, attracts good crowds and could afford it.... the big IF is how much is now being paid to the stadium owners to be able to operate (without the greyhounds to pay a cut). The Oxford Stadium website seems to suggest positive movements though, posting about a 'new era'... https://oxford-stadium.co.uk/

Lions v Witches 14th September

Someone told me his spokes still need another meet to bed in, brand new last home ride ,ya got to look at the bright side can only get better -
Have the recent financial issues been resolved enough to allow that to happen Bojangles ?

Oxford stepping up again? There's no way they will run in three leagues again, but could drop the Championship perhaps? Especially if the Championship is going to be a diluted product. Peter Shroeck has been very vocal about starting to build a team early for 2027...and they only time he's ever mentioned problems with team building before was having limited time to build a Spires team in 2024. Then again, it's Peter Shroeck so I'm not sure reading him is any easier than Dostoevsky.

2027 terrestrial tv maybe?
The Cheese replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If that's just the peak, is there not a chance that was because the programme overran and it was people tuning in at 10pm for the EFL highlights? -
They know their future is safe.

I see. So neither of the Holders have said it publicly then ? Just promoter waffle telling the fans what they want to hear. 😉

A week before this season started. He said that he spoke to Chris Holder and Chris said if Poole ever move back up him and Jack will be there. Whether that has changed since March idk. Edit - it was on a radio interview.

GP venues and news for 2027
Neila replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't worry the speedway organisers won't take any notice of these, then will wonder if a date release classes with them why people aren't rushing to buy tickets -
Just for Men?.... Tena Men?.... Steradent?... SAGA Holidays?.. Over 50's Life Assurance?.. Those "Cheapo Funeral" Adverts?.. Just like watching U&Alibi and C5 now.....😁 Edit. Almost forgot... Those chairs that tip you out of them.. Walk in, sit down baths .. And those trainers that you don't need to bend down to put on, or tie any laces...😀

I think it's less to do with equipment, although his is not the best, but more to do with a mental block if things are going wrong. He seems to lose his head completely, which is a shame as he's not a bad rider.

Should never be accepted. Should request the rider get a 28 day ban for withholding their services & get a guest! -
Kemp is very frustrating - when on Thompson's engine at Foxhall he was superb but last night total toilet. I get that the track was balder than Right Said Fred and offered almost nothing but his gating was so bad.

The key is 2.4% share ITV4 look for 2% plus. Advertisers are generally only interested in live viewers as its assumed those that timeshift a programme fast forward through the ads. The issue is the demographics are highly unattractive for mainstream advertisers. To old, to male and to poor.

Might this see young Polish riders coming to ride in the Premiership next year to aid their development. Older supporters may remember an influx of young Swedes in 1967 with Michanek, Harryson and Holmquist all coming over
