  1. Past hour
  2. It gives me no pleasure to say this but even without all the injuries and the missing riders, Oxford should still have made the playoffs, but for very poor tactical decisions made by the management. Just as has happened in the past it won’t be long before fans start dropping off and the goodwill will all but evaporate.
  3. Good effort by Workington, just missed out on the bonus point , we have a rest now before the big home test against Glasgow tigers. Hope Vinnie is ok, possible broken hand ?
  4. First of all, if you took the trouble to read some of my previous posts about the Plymouth "team", you'll see that I have given them praise. I totally understand why Plymouth fielded such a team because they've been ravaged by injury and they've let their Number 1 completely shaft them. This is not about Plymouth though, don't try and convince me that a "team" of 2 Plymouth riders should be taken seriously in a so called professional team Sport, it was only fit for a Best Pairs event. If they want to run the meeting, fine, great, get a big crowd in on a Saturday night, I'm happy for them... there's no way on this earth any league points gained by such a team, whoever they may be, should be added to their league tally, the points should have been forfeited before a wheel was turned. As the guest system is a necessity to run Speedway in the UK, I think 3 guests should be the limit for any team (and even that's not desirable), meaning at least the majority (3 riders + R/R) is riding for the named "team" in an event.
  5. Today
  6. Everyone bar you on this forum will understand why Plymouth fielded such a team! Maybe they should have waited till next year to stage the meeting when all the riders are fit and available, would that suit you?
  7. I mean the amount of time people keep bringing the issue of it being russia but nobody dares to speak of the issues that Ukraine bring is laughable. Media loves to make everything about Russia but if you actually see the drama Ukraine have brought and more shockingly how disgusting their people treat Poland as a country when they were given free housing, food, cars etc but still attack Polish people, attack Polish traditional, break Polish transport and hold signs at concerts saying “death to poles” but nobody moans when Ukraine are allowed into the speedway World Cup? Media agenda and targeting is a joke, politics in sport and as a whole is a joke, English people moan about these migrates but still think Ukraine is treated unfair. Nobody has been shown on English TV the city that is ‘war stricken’ in Ukraine but has now rebuild a brand new super night club with the funding from European money? Google Ibiza club Ukraine and see how fearful they really are this club was on its last legs but then had money from the war poured into it and renovated, it’s all on Polish news but you don’t see any of it in England, and be reminded that their president has bought two houses, one in Caribbean and one in Europe with your tax money.
  8. Not sure what's more predictable, you dissing Plymouth or Gavan moaning about Belle Vue lol
  9. Chance for the Aces middle order and reserves to score a few points for a change. 60-30
  10. All these people with their gushing praise at Plymouth do realise that "Plymouth" only tracked 2 of their own riders on Saturday night don't they 🤷‍♂️ Yes, great, they seem to be doing something right in getting some crowd's in and they must be applauded for that, but don't kid yourselves that you're watching a Plymouth team.
  11. A bit harsh on Cook, while his away form has been poor he's been good at the NSS. Hope Zagar has a good night, could be his last visit to NSS.
  12. Manchester City Centre to Altrincham is more like 45 mins than 10!
  13. But isn't the position and if working part of pre meeting checks?
  14. ill be going hopefully see some passing after bend 2, 🤣
  15. Yesterday
  16. Redcar are massively disappointed that they only won all the match points and the bonus point. 😆
  17. Cosmic. Could they insert their No1 into the home meetings?
  18. Lowest No 5 Averaged rider in the league. Oxfords 2nd heat leader with an average of 5.04. Yet Schroeck for the life of me usually gives him his 4 rides. Yesterday at Glasgow he scored 2 pts in his 1st ride. Then had 3 lasts yet he still got 4 rides!! Today was a prime example. He scored 5 from 4 rides yet Schroeck puts him in heat 15 ahead of Luke Killeen 11-1, Mitch McDiarmid 8 and Jorden Jenkins 7-1. Schroeck really is the biggest clown in the sport. How do people employ him?
  19. Believe for a number of heats which produced a Workington rider winning, times from a stopwatch had to be used.
  20. Good win by the bears just hope we can do well and get in the playoffs.
  21. Make it interesting, book Vinnie as a guest
  22. Just caught up with the meeting stream. Congratulations to Plymouth for getting so close to winning with such a patched up and below strength side. Redcar should feel disappointed they only won by two. Thomsen was doing well until his falls. Barker will be out for a while so more guests needed for future meetings. Looks to be a great atmosphere and well fun club down there, seemed to be plenty of fans in, well done!
  23. McDiarmid must be the best newcomer of the season. Very good rider.
  24. Seen some very good and brave racing today. Hooky, once again, impressed. I think Hooky has to be our rider of the season so far. Hes doing it home and away for us. Batch, Hooky, and very surprisingly, vuolas done good for us today. Vuolas took a while to get going but once he did he looked very quick. Tate and Jye disappointed. They looked promising after the first heat and tailed off after. Less about comets and more about Oxford now - how does Heeps keep getting positions in Oxford. He's awful.
  25. You can tell the difference when a Northside meeting finishes and ones that did at Derwent Park. So now everyone heads for the various car parks, there's not many on foot. But at Derwent Park traffic was held up while pedestrians, lots of them in the good times, blocked the bridge exit for vehicles (apart from the those who went to the bar of course). And DP is only 150 yards from the railway station. Northside a longer trek but well worth the effort folks.
