Different league but Rowe rode for Leicester and Kerr is usually good there but riding second string in the premiership is tough. -
Leicester v Sheffield Monday 9th June Live on TV
SJA replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Watched last night on the TV but the previous week's meeting in the stadium and I thought the outside line worked well, and was used to great effect by Pickering last week. -
You must have missed the 500 million IPL viewers turning away from cricket because opposition players sometimes have a laugh with each other. Darts rapidly increasing in popularity? Fake news. Nobody's interested because the players are too friendly during matches. And as for PL football. A sharp decrease in interest because of all the hugging before and after matches, discussions on the pitch, subs from opposition sides having conversations whilst warming up, managers sharing a joke etc. Or maybe they just take no notice because it happens everywhere.

Well spotted! -
Team is suddenly very depleted, no number 1. Rew seems to be riding with an injury and Edwards taking a hit last night 😕 wonder if we will actually bring in someone to replace MJJ

Then he'll sign for Glasgow

Having witnessed Sheffield’s last two lacklustre away performances can only see a big Ipswich win. For Sheffield we know both Holder’s don’t generally go well at Foxhall (will Jack be putting it all on the line ahead of a double SGP weekend?) Pickering is hit and miss averages less than 6 away, Sedgman and Kerr only any use if they gate, Rowe another like Pickering who struggles away from home circuit. As for Ipswich can see the engine room of the team (King, Brennan and Ellis) easily getting 30 points between the three of them, Mountain and Jenkins should outscore there reserve opposition, can’t see anyone touching Sayfutdinov and Masters generally quick from the gate he might not score what Doyle does around Foxhall but should be knocking double digits. Think it will be somthing like 55-35 to Ipswich a very very comfortable night for them - Today

He lives in Poland, is married to a Polish girl and only wants to do two leagues so no surprise he doesn't ride here. Nicholls and Bewley have also ducked the UK in the past, maybe it says more about British Speedway than the riders themselves.

They say that lightning doesn't strike twice in the the same place. It did at Leicester. As a Sheffield supporter i have to take my hat off to the lions. They took us apart twice in two weeks. But I have to make some observations, not complaints, on what I have seen in the last week. I had never been to Leicester before last week and I must say that I think that it is a gaters track, having said that, having said that to say that there was no passing is not true it is just that it is done in the 30yards comming out of bend 2. Every time the Sheffield riders were in point scoring positions they were passed with some amasing acelerations from the home riders. This must be down to engine set up. I have been around the sport long enough to know that youu can build an engine that will fly on a specific track. I think that that is what the Lions riders have done. The other thing that I noted was the fact that it seemed impossible to ride the wide line. I think that 95% of the racing was done on the inside 30% of the track. This must be down to the track shape and the camber of the corners. Unfortunately this does not lend itself to producing spectical. I must admit the we are spoiled at Sheffield with riders scrapeing the fence every week but it does get exiting. This is not a moan about getting beaten just a few observations. The riders are professionals and shoulld be able to make adjustments to get the best out their equipment. As for them being too friendly, theirs is a very small community and they see each other week in and week out. Add to that there are some very strong friendships away from the track. All that I and everyone else asks is that the gloves come off as they go to the tapes. Having confidence in your fellow riders is an important part of the sport. Once again well done Leicester on two great demolition jobs.

Having cancelled my subscription to Discovery+ Premium (with TNT) back in January when they announced price increase from £6.99 per month to £30.99 per month I am going to subscribe for 1 month before this Fridays SGP Manchester. They do a rolling month, so no matter what date you start from the 1 month contract lasts 30 days. So start 12th June will make the expiry date 30 days later 11th July. That means I can watch 2x Manchester GPs, Gorzow 21st June and Malilla on 5th July. That's costing £8 per Gram Prix......worth it I reckon. Cancel the subscription anytime during the 1 month contract period, you still can watch for the full 30 days, but don't pay anymore.

Dan’s second in our Averages this season and been scoring double figures in a lot of meetings. When you replace that with someone who’s only scoring a couple of points, that results in a huge swing in the overall score. His absence can’t be understated.
