Landon will def get a POL EXLGE U24 slot next season and only ties up Tuesdays. Lets hope he doesnt go down Baileys route adding DK and misses UK. On I assume a 4 he would slot in well at reserve. Only turned 16 on 10th Aug and so far has won SGP4 followed by runner up in SGP3 which was won by arguably the current top young POL rider in POL EXL.

Back on the 30th of January, I posted on here about making the Eddie Wright Raceway my regular track after moving to Lincolnshire. I said back then “Regardless of where we finish in the league, I’m massively looking forward to the new season. Let’s get behind the lads and hopefully spring a surprise or two” after being written off. Well, look where we are tonight. Whatever happens at Wimborne Road in the second leg, Scunthorpe have had an absolutely brilliant season. Taking an eight-point lead into the Grand Final decider against a side like Poole is massive credit to every single rider, promoter, and volunteer at the club. Do I think they will pull it off tonight? Hand on heart, probably not. We all know how tough Wimborne Road is and how well Poole are around their own patch. In fact, it’s one of the biggest frustrations in British speedway for me right now: every year it feels like a foregone conclusion. You can pretty much pencil in the league winners before a wheel turns, and the entire championship boils down to “who earns the right to get beaten over two legs by Poole.” If the Pirates overturn the deficit and lift the trophy again, nobody will be shocked. But that shouldn't take an ounce of shine off what Scunny have achieved. I’ll be following tonight with everything crossed and if they do it, it’ll be one of the best nights in the club's history. But even if Poole do what Poole usually do, the Scorpions will still be winners having proved pretty much everyone wrong.

It's a massive expense which doesn't make much sense to me in terms of safety - should be more like an MOT and see if the current barrier provides the cushioning it should then fine to carry on using it. It'd still be much better than the hard foam type fence they have at King's Lynn which I can't see provides much better than the old wire mesh type fences. Interesting rumour that Poland will mandate air jackets for riders maybe the year after next, if not next year. Another expense for clubs that they can do without because you can be sure riders won't pay for them.

How many chances has Craig Cook been given ?

2027 - 8 Team Premiership

if eastbourne comes to tapes it just makes so much more sense to have two leagues of eight. -
I assume everyone else gets the little ad prompts on each thread Interesting that this one has 'find riding gear' attached 😆

They will be up there in 2027, Bailey would be the one everyone wants but if he doesn't do the UK and they end up with Landon he is capable of putting a couple of points on his average by the end of year 1 in the UK. Brady is easily the best prospect to come out of the US in the last decade and given Hancock's links with Poole they will most likely get first dibs.

2027 - 8 Team Premiership

I’ve heard that too, same 9 teams in the championship. (Providing Plymouth raise their funds for a new air fence) With regards to new teams, there are still some aspiring to run Eastbourne in the top league next season -
Cooper is from Colchester which is a lot closer to Ipswich than King's Lynn so not really a home town hero.

Wild Cards for 2027

He's raced every year for over two decades. In the last three years he has topped the Russian league averages zero times and won the Russian Championship zero times. He's still one of the best five domestic Russians (along with Lachbaum, Logachev, Kotlyar and Kulakov) but that hardly makes any of those GP standard. -

Assuming no change in the championship, anyone any thoughts on where an extra 1-2 teams might come from ? -

I'm not sure why they announced Magic first, if Lindgren is the last one then Magic was the only surprise. Unless it's not Lindgren....
