Belle Vue v Sheffield 2x Bank Holiday
Garry1603 replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not the best meeting but there were some really close finishes tonight with three races won by 0.01 sec according to the announcer. Zischke and Cairns are getting better every week and the Aces could afford for Blodorn and Kildermand to have quieter meetings. Oh - and it was 53-37 😊 -
I agree but he doesn’t come without risks though. He’s been prone in the past to have a good season and become an 8+ pointer, then follow it up with a stinker and go back to six and a half.

100%, If it wasn't for King and Musielak's performances then we would've finished last without a shadow of doubt. King has stepped up from the get go this season and has shown why the club has so much faith in him, After losing Emil and Doyley in the winter, The club needed riders to step up and Danny has done that and more. Musielak is a No.1 in this league, Fans think he underperforms when having the No.1 on his back but his performances as a No.1 are due to the Clubs he raced for, Get Tobi at a professionally run Club like Ipswich or Sheffield and he'll fill his boots 9 times out of 10.

Be a crime if Tobi Musielak isn't back in 2027.

Lions v Witches 14th September
Roger Jacobs replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Sheffield is rained-off … then it’ll be Aces Vs Tigers and Lions Vs Witches … -
Yes. Should be Belle Vue Ipswich, Leicester-Sheffield semi finals, unless Northampton shock Sheffield at owlerton in the last meeting in which case it will be Belle Vue-Sheffield, Leicester-Ipswich but those are the four confirmed play off teams.

Is that playoffs decided?

Whilst Danny had his poorest meeting of the season it’s well worth remembering that his scores ALL season have got us into the playoffs -

Going to a superheat (according to the refs program on the British speedway website). -

Yes congratulations - double vodkas all round 👍 -
Tobi different gravy again tonight. What a rider. Well done boys.

Hurry got away with one there. Going in to heat 12 Pedersen had two points from three rides, Edwards was unbeaten on paid nine and the switch wasn’t made. As it happens, Pedersen rode well to secure a vital second which saved the managers bacon but that was an error that shouldn’t have happened.

Dan Thompson also said something about Coleman having some plans for British Speedway coming out in the next few weeks in his most recent vlog

Why are you talking about 2027 🤔 some polish teams have got riders signed and announced for 2028 😜

Playoff King has started early 😁 Track is slicker than a teddy boys hair do.

I was thinking if Ben Cook helps Sheffield gain a point, does that end Lynn's chances of catching them, but Sheffield have such a superior race points advantage don't think Lynn would finish above them anyway. -
Torun 2026
racers and royals replied to magnus's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My suggestion would be to email Torun- Polish clubs are normally really good at responding. Maybe they will have a restricted number of fans present with possibly entry via purchase of a programme. biuro@speedway.torun.pl -
My tickets don't mention anything either, so it's certainly not at all clear.

I thought Glaagow helping out Workington last year was something to do with visas/work permits but could be wrong. The 1 rider over 8.00 was brought in as there were 9 teams and 9 riders above 8 (Cook was 10th on 7.99 after UK reduction). If kept, speedway has a habit of not keeping rules, would it be changed to whatever figure is between the 9th and 10th averaged riders (after UK reduction)? Genuinely can't see Bomber at Poole in 2027. The slick track doesn't suit his style and I can't see the Fords changing their track to make it suit him (as it didn't fit their successful business model). If he's not back at Glasgow then I think he'll sign somewhere where there is more dirt for him to race on, even if it's less money than Poole are offering, as I think that enjoying his racing means more to Bomber. I would expect Lawson to be number 1 at Poole again in 2027
