  1. Past hour
  2. She is the darling of the crowd here at Landshut and she is a really good speedway rider!
  3. Cos they've signed 5 riders already, none of them over 8. Only got just over 8 points left, I think, for 2 riders so unless it's going to be 6 man teams it won't fit with an over 8 point rider.
  4. Only problem UK councils are strapped for cash and unlike in Poland the UK councils don't seem to like speedway
  5. Antti Voulas has posted on Facebook wanting a UK team for 2027 🤔
  6. I believe they are well over half way and they've been advised to apply to Plymouth Council for 'match funding'. If successful I wonder what they will do with any surplus?
  7. How many panels do plymouth need and whats the cost of a air fence panel
  8. Having been privy to the figures of Eastbourne's final season under Ian Jordan its not so bad. They had a base figure of 600 and a floating 200, so 800 guaranteed each week. Also well over 1000 four times in half a season, Ian Jordan made a lot of mistakes but speedway could be a sport at the Arlington raceway that could exsist if run. The main issue is they will only get income from gate money and sponsorship, food and drink money will go to the lease holder. Its doable, but in the top league on an off race night, I would be doubtful Nothing will happen 2027 anyway..
  9. What's the latest on the fund? How much more do they need?
  10. Not sure it would be an issue. Remember Redcar used to have Wright, King and Riss in the same team and the rumour was Riss had the best deal.
  11. How do you know Berwick aren't starting the season without a rider over 8 ?
  12. Should riders be only allowed to race under the country they were born in? That would stop riders trying to ride under different licences.
  13. Today
  14. Just seen this on my YT feed. In case anyone hasn't seen it yet?
  15. My point was that since Oxford are starting the season with 3 riders with a higher average than the Berwick number 1 then surely Berwick (and all other teams) should be able to set their teams up as they like. I thought the one over 8 rider per team was to balance out the heat leaders. If Berwick wants to leave Nick at 5 then they should be able to do that (not gaining any advantage as other teams could do the same). Berwick are starting the season with no riders with an average over 8.
  16. They'd be alright in a 37.00 limit. Bit like Ipswich and Northampton this season, The low Points Limit would make sure that a few riders on high 6's or low 7's GSA's would still be available for Eastbourne to have a strength in depth side. Throw in one assessed rider as well like Nilsson for example on a 7+ and they'l get close to a 37.00 limit.
  17. Think it's all been agreed otherwise Teams wouldn't be releasing riders tbh. I'm pretty sure that Leicester would've opted for Morris over Howarth if given the chance considering Stewart Dickson likes continuity and that Morris is the Bandits No.1 in 2027.
  18. I reckon this is very close. I expect Leicester to be Ryan Douglas Max Fricke Dan Thompson Nick Morris Drew Kemp Luke Harrison Freddy Hodder RS
  19. And Eastbourne are building to 30....😯😁
  20. I think you have interpreted my post incorrectly. The discussion point was that clubs do not want to risk a change of race night because their fans don't turn up - it is those fans I am referring to, who, as with the majority of most clubs' attendees, are more mature. If this is what is preventing clubs from looking to grow their business then I'm afraid it really is doomed. They should be doing their best to attract both new and existing/previous fans but above all new ones.
  21. Tobias has said he has signed for a UK team, would have thought it would be Plymouth
  22. Given the reported size of their crowds each week, where is all the money going at Plymouth? - surely they're not paying silly money to riders (although their travel expenses bill must be higher than all the other clubs 😁)
  23. Feels almost symptomatic of the wider society at times. If a rider isn't the next child prodigy and pushing towards the GPs by 18/19, they get almost written off. Sometimes they end up quitting. As you say, you need riders who are, ultimately, just average. It's even more concerning when you look at the ages of some of the 'mid-level' Premiership riders now - Klindt, C. Holder, Harris, Lawson, King, Masters, Iversen - all have passed or are edging towards 40. What happens when we lose them?
  24. Looking at other teams the one 8 point rider rule must have been scrapped therefore we need to be pushing for two 8 point riders. Jeppersen & Klindt?
  25. Absolutely spot on if both in the same team nothing gained by Lawson shutting off to let cairns through
