It's only a couple of months since he became Chairman of the Greyhound Racing Board. Before that he became Chairman of Star Bookmaking group. Now he's suddenly into Speedway. He certainly seems to like picking up these roles since losing his seat in Parliament.   I guess you've got to replace the income from somewhere.

Most top riders will go in 2027 because Poland is introducing the rule, 'a rider can ride in 1 league other than Poland'. In the future it will probably be just Poland.

Like old Harry, Sir Phil has kept his 'love' of Speedway very quiet over the years?  He was the MP for Shipley so wonder he ever visited Odsal? I seem to remember that a certain Nick Brown MP was the chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Motorcycle Speedway, was Sir Phil a member? Oh, I wonder what happened to Nick Brown former MP?
