    • You do realise the GP circus has been haemorrhaging money at a rate of knots in recent years Phil? I find it staggering that the likes of you AND others on here, are critical of Mayfield for tightening the budget and making cuts. That’s exactly what’s been needed for years now. It simply couldn’t go on the way it was and we’re fortunate to even have a GP series to watch at the moment reading the articles in the Star the last few months. Richard Coleman knows exactly what he’s doing, its a pity he wasn’t in place a long time ago. As for Ipswich, I also find it staggering he’s already getting criticised there too. People do realise he didn’t actually take over until the arse end of February? Three and a half months ago. What are people expecting? Belle Vue signed Doyle because they have a vacancy, Ipswich don’t.    I’m not sure sacking a couple of riders already to fit him back in would be the reputation they’re looking for, especially when they already have a cup final booked! Give them a chance ffs 🙄
    • I get all that but he didn’t have to give Mountain a r/r ride at all. After seeing ht12 I’d have had Harrison in ht14.
    • First official league match in 8 years.
    • As long as they race the same team on the Friday / Saturday, both teams have the same travel to make. So no advantage either way.
    • I'am trying to locate this image of Dan bewley;  If anyone knows where I can buy it from or find it please let me know; I want this specific image of Dan holding the trophy after his win at Belle Vue last year GP;  I have cropped - whole photo will be ideal. Thanks in advance.
    • Seems pretty simple to me, when heat 10 came along, the Scunny team manager had decided his reserves were going better than Harrison, so saved Mountain's r/r ride till heat 14. If he wanted to leave himself with more options could have used Mountain in heat 10, then when heat 14 came around chose between Harrison & the 2 reserves to go out. Mind you, you could wonder why after the team manager decided the reserves were going better than Harrison, then Harrison ran a last in heat 10, why didn't he replace him in heat 12?  As it turned out, Harrison rode better.  But part of me feels, if you're leaving Harrison in his 4th ride hoping he'll improve, why remove the chance of a r/r outing in case he improves?  For example had Harrison won heat 10, then also heat 12, would they want to give him heat 14, leaving Mountain without a r/r ride?  I think I'd rather err on the side of caution, plan to give a team rider an r/r ride, then replace them in a programmed ride if necessary.
