I will tell you something else that wasn’t funny for Panthers fans. Morris falling entirely on his own in heat 3 and being allowed back in the rerun Douglas giving Palm Toft a nudge in the rerun and causing him to fall and getting injured and no exclusion for Douglas.

His average should be 2.56 I believe.... Based on multiplying his Div One average by his Div Two average, and then adding in his non existent RS average.... You then divide this total by the hypotenuse of a Dairylea Triangle (Reduced Fat).... Or, if the equation is worked out on a day that isnt a fixed race day for his Div One team, then a supermarket own label cheese triangle can be used.... Or a piece from a 600g bar of Toblerone if one is to hand. .. (Not a white Toblerone though, only a dark chocolate one).....

Apparently he can’t ride under appeal until the SCB court hearing. Whether there are kangaroos at that court remains to be seen It does seem bizarre that a rider can be told minutes before it is posted on the website that he has been banned without even having been spoken to, never mind being asked to put forward their side of events. I have absolutely no idea what it is all about btw but in general sports tend to at least give a right of representation. Unilaterally ‘sentencing’ a rider without their knowledge or input just doesn’t sit right with me

There was clear times of people struggling throughout the season but they’ve got this far as a team… and all credit has to go to them for sticking with the same 7.. they’ve certainly repaid the faith shown to them! I so so hope things go our way and all behind the scenes are finally rewarded for what they’ve put into the club!

If it wasn't for him staying down then we would've been 43 - 41 down going into the last race and Schlein wouldn't have gambled to get the jump over Bomber off gate 4. Respect the Panthers legend for using his experience. Morris should've been excluded early in the night anyway so it levels it all out really.

Stumper I would say you are spot on with regards to the PA, it has been crap for a number of years and cuts in/out all the time. Secondly the lighting is very poor around the stands/bends & also including on the track, from the home straight you can't see the helmet colours of the riders on the opposite side, the lights shine directly at you and not the track.

All day i was expecting tonights meeting to be called off. It was dry when i arrived but the rain soon set in. How the riders rode in such treacherous conditions and completed the match, i will never know. They were all heroes tonight.

Brilliant result to round off a very successful season for the Bullets, whether or not they go on to win the league. Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley doubled up with the Bandits and, in particular I think it would give Kyle confidence to score big points when he sometimes struggled for the Bandits. Luke Crang stepped in for Leon and his scores against Mildenhall (home) and Kent (tonight) might just win them the league. Greg Blair re-discovered his love for the sport, gave the crowd great entertainment and became a bit of a cult figure. Ben Rathbone, Mason Watson, Ryan MacDonald and Keiron Douglas all developed a lot more than they would just riding in the NJL. I've enjoyed watching the Bullets matches this season, both as double headers and on their own. Hopefully the promotion continue the team next season.

Just looking further ahead to 2022, I just wanting to throw a few ideas out there in regards to meeting presentation etc. Please don't take this as a complaint or a moan as I 100% appreciate what we have, however there a are a few things I think could be done to improve the presentation of meetings. As a speedway fan most of these things don't concern me too much, however to newcomers, they may be more important. I would like to see the following next season if possible: 1) Upgraded PA System: Often race results, rider introductions etc are difficult to hear in numerous spots around the track due to the crackly PA System. Volume is often too low as well which makes things difficult to hear. Would be nice to have the system upgraded and checked before use. The microphone Rob uses on the centre green regularly breaks up. 2) More lighting on bend 1 terraces: At the start/end of the season with the darker nights, it is difficult to see your programme when filling in race results. 3) Smoother transitions between music/talking: On occasions the music is left on whilst the presenter/Rob is talking which makes it difficult to hear and is a bit "amateurish" and often long gaps of silence can be heard before the music restarts at the completion of the talking. I think a "tidy up" is required to ensure the presentation remains as professional as possible, particularly to outsiders as I have brought newcomers along on occasions and they have picked up on this. 4) Maybe re-introduce an interval: To allow time for an interview perhaps during the meeting, to get the thoughts of a rider or team manager to see how they feel the meeting is going? Most meetings this year have been completed quickly (which I agree is a good thing to do) however might be nice to have more engagement during the meeting. Please feel free to agree/disagree, or add more comments. Like I said, just throwing a few ideas out there to how things can maybe done better.

They seemed to deflate when Poole got level on aggregate, but maybe the Poole riders just seemed to get going! Interesting to know what is said at the press conference they are doing tonight.

the way the track rode never really changed from ht 1 to ht 15 and Berwick didn’t want to come back down for a rain off even if it could be fitted in it was more the kent riders thought it was going to get called after ht 10 but the rain stopped at ht 9 for a while so both teams carried on it wasn’t really that the kent riders pulled out their rides dew to conditions it was more equipment failure amazing what wd40 can do in these conditions and some not wanting to dirty their other bike the same thing happened pretty much in the bullets pits but there riders helped each other out with letting them use their bikes while other mechanics got it going again good to see Len congratulating the bullets riders after the meeting going to be close end to the season

All the boy were mucking in last night lending bikes goggles and helping each other out think we used more wd40 last night that we have used all season in the pits but most of all it was down to Gary Flint Kev Little Scott and Jamie and Jamie Robertson who kept us laughing amd helping us with encouragement all through the season when some were struggling

Heading over for what looks like being Birmingham's final ever meeting. Lots of great memories and pleased to have the chance to say goodbye unlike at Coventry. Only 2 pages of comments for any potential investor speaks volumes. Unfortunately it's another nail in British Speedway's Coffin

Bad refereeing doesn't excuse cheating

Earlier in the season I took issue with Anders Rowe guesting for Bates as his average was too high. I was told Rowe can be considered BOTH a rising star and a rider with a GSA to it was ok for him to ride as rising stars don’t use their average when guesting, only their star rating. It was typical BS from the powers that be as they strained to get one over the Aces. Now it’s changed so rising stars DO use their average (even though officially they don’t have one, as per the green sheets.) so it’s ok. The first leg of a cracking tie to see who finishes runners up to the Peterborough Panthers. It's all about Batchelor and if he rides well then Sheffield finish 2021 runners up but if he rides poorly then Belle Vue finish 2021 runners up.

From what read on updates young boys could show a lot more experienced riders how to just get on with it in less than perfect conditions!

Back in 1972, when I first started going to Cleveland Park, there was a Speedway shop/Office (not sure of it's correct title), on the back straight, you could buy rosette's, program boards, ticket's for coach trips, Wembley world final's etc, Julie was in charge of it at the time, it was just a serving hatch at the back of the stand. I remember when the pit's moved from the School end of the stadium, to just near the A19 flyover, they built a Speedway Office as part of the new pits complex, and she moved in there. So she had been involved with Cleveland Park 25+ years, to my knowledge, till it closed at the end of the 1996 season. Then when speedway returned at the STMP in 2006, she took up her old position.

The ticket sales plan did not show stands on the 3/4 bend. SON is usually earlier in the year, sort of June. I think this year with the uncertainty over Covid and green, amber, red, they put it at the end of the year. If Covid allows, next year 2022 hopefully if will be a full GP series year and only one GP per track.

Cardiff was (and hopefully will be again) a jewel on the SGP calendar. Poor track conditions are now a decade ago. The British SGP should remain at Cardiff. No discussion.
