Quite an achievement for Plymouth to reach the playoffs with 2 matches to spare. 6th place would be preferred finish for easiest quarter final, Edinburgh would be alot tougher especially if sam masters is fit. On the other hand it would be nice to stop Redcar making the playoffs just to p*** Bellers101 off.

And all with the blessings of those who run the sport... Which is sadly why the sport isnt taken seriously in the UK..

What they wont do is continue ad Infinitum with an operating model that hemorrhages fans year on year, fails to attract major sponsors, and ensures hardly any media coverage is forthcoming... Wonder how many Poole assets have been told not to ride for other clubs. As for replacement for Kennett, Gary May has reportedly tried over a dozen and at least one wasn't allowed by BSPL. Usual arrogant twaddle from a Poole know all.

Not the worst meeting you are likely to see but Scunthorpe were always on the back foot with turning up without a genuine No1 capable of winning races. The others did their best but were never in any danger of getting any points.

On the subject of Aces leadership it was really really hard not to like this guy even though probably wanted to lol. Said what he thought, to everyone. I remember winning 2 free tickets after answering questions about the aces. I was 19 and went to the office to claim my prize and JP looked at me with my stupid long hair at the time and said how the f…… did you know the answers to those questions???? I said because John I f…….. know my club. He laughed his head off and said good fella and gave me the tickets

Thanks for that. I was trying to remember Fridays times. So sticking the full GP riders on a 2valve Jawa would mean they would be going a bit slower, probably require more skill to pass, cost would be thousands of £’s less to riders/promotors.

Fine seasons for Barker, Bowtell and Gilkes until circumstances intervened. Morley exceeding expectations when called upon. Hans not always banging in the big points but playing a unifying captains role throughout. Injury plagued season for MPT that’s prevented him getting in his stride. A tantalising glimpse of what he could offer before being sent into the fence at Wimborne road. But obviously only the guests that have got us to the playoffs eh!! Still hopefully a chance that Eddie’s available before the end of the now extended season. Those of us that have seen him dominate around the Coliseum know what he’s capable of and that on that form few guests would have matched him.. Doubters will doubt and I guess we’ll never know how it could have played out. The deserter being the only proven error in judgement of the starting seven. So, onto the playoffs! Still the un-fancied underdogs. Let’s go and ruffle the plumage of the leagues elite.

That kind of logic seems to be beyond some fans. Despite fact Leicester beat Poole home and away apparently Leicester won't "touch them with a barge pole" for no other reason than they're Poole. Leicester may take Edinburgh as did same against them and save on their gaffers travelling expenses

Kennett would have been replaced by now if he hadn't got injured, they have done well to get away with guests all season, must be a very cost effective way of running the team.

Do I think he was injured enough to not ride probably not. Will he ride in Poland tomorrow probably yes. happens all to often these days unfortunately.

I disagree, we often see a rider go for a gap and the outside rider cut down. Neither are really at fault or could always do anything to avoid a collision.

I don’t profess to know the answer but one thing the sport needs to get rid of is GUESTS. The Kennet issue at Plymouth has been a disgrace , how many matches has he ridden ? Harris & Lawson must have as many guest bookings as rides for their designated teams . I know that teams say that riders are not available but most of them find someone. As I said I don’t know what the answer is but the Guest Fest cannot go on for a sport that bill’s itself professional.

I doubt the quality of Guests they have had to book have been "cost effective" at all - quite the opposite as they are hostages to mercenaries , no need to name names but a few will ask and get top buck everywhere or try to!. Clearly had Barker stayed out of trouble and Gilkes stayed fit they would have been very strong anyway. Losing MPT at the same time and Bowtell who was very strong at home and vastly improved in last few months he rode away was a clear blow too. They would possibly prefer Redcar to finish 7th as Scunny don't have as many usable Guest options as others elsewhere have explained.

Emil is the current world number 3, has excellent record in the GPs and is also a Polish Citizen so I think he would also get a wildcard.

I will openly admit I am not a big fan of Rob Godfrey, however all these comments suggesting as chairman he makes decisions to suit himself and the Scorpions are tiresome and quite ridiculous!

Supporters have already found other things to do... I would say approximately 20,000 of them since 2000 or so.... When circa 40,000 a week would attend, now it's around 20,000 tops I would say... Doesnt help itself in any way shape or form by its Mickey Mouse rules and administration... Nor does its self policing do it any favours... Then you add in all the adhoc call offs due to all sorts of wide and various reasons, which often make no sense to fans who often will also suspect 'other motives' given it isn't unusual to have 'strange occurrences' happen on nights when star riders may fail to turn up or get injured the night before elsewhere... It simply reaps what it sows.. Hence the harvest is poor year after year... When will the famine hit? I suppose is the big question...
