Lots of places are now rejecting cash but if they don't want my money anymore then so be it, i can spend it on something else.4 points

Speedway is shooting itself in the foot with all these variations of booking Online and pay more on the day methods of payment.Everybody should be paying the same amount however you go to watch.IMO4 points

I was going to suggest... "What about the Abbey Stadium?"... Decades of Speedway heritage there, and perfect for a rebuild and track reshape now Greyhounds have gone.. A "blank canvas" on which to build too... Would be perfect I would suggest... Can't think why it hasnt been chosen...4 points

I'm afraid it sounds more of the same...the good folk of Swindon have been well and truly sold down the river with half promises and lies.4 points

So - if you have cash in your pocket - but no money in your bank account, you can't get in?3 points

Personally I don't think it's a conundrum at all, Poole built the team they wanted, Rowe, Kemp & Dan T are all similar standard to Thomas, so they have a very simple choice imo. If they wanted Batchelor & Ablitt sure they would have chosen them from the start?3 points

He has reached 12 GP finals, won three of them and has finished second in the overall standings as well as winning 5 SWC's. There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he's been world class during his career.2 points

Absolutely no need to look for a new site. There is a track and a landlord who has to build a new stand at the Abbey.2 points

In general I don't mind pay for things online but I don't like doing it on things that are weather dependent.2 points

I read somewhere a few days back that someone said all he does is give them the 6 digit code Assigned to the ticket which the staff have input to allow entry. Just checked some old tickets on my account and the 6 digits seem to be 4 letters and 2 numbers so you would have to make a very lucky guess to give them the right code.1 point

Having been told on how Jack's crash happened - it was an accident that would've happened on any other track in the country. As for Scunthorpe's fencing needing SCB inspections - we obviously have replaced our fence, which has already been SCB and FIM approved, while we will also have foam fences (similar to Berwick and Kings Lynn) coming in time for the season, in an attempt to make the track feel safer to ride on. It goes without saying though, I send my best wishes to Jack for a speedy and well recovery1 point

Don’t think they count on this occasion. They probably would have pinned it right enough. This not being pinned is a disaster on a par with Poole fans taking over every other thread on here.1 point

Would be natural to firstly secure his top flight place before worrying too much about the second tier1 point

The unfortunate injury to Jack Thomas leaves the Poole promotion with a conundrum. Do they attempt to bring in Rowe, Kemp or Thompson, or make a double change and bring in Batchelor and Abblit? Meaning Danny would have to ask a rider with a team place to stand down. Which is not nice 3 weeks before the season starts, basically taking away their income. Unless the leaving rider gets immediately picked up by another club. Are any spaces still available? If Danny goes for a double change it’s a hard one but this is sport and tough decisions have to be made. This has happened in the past and will again in the future.1 point

Customer is always right If people want to pay by cash then I don't see why they can't. Oxford is a city, plenty of banks around!1 point

...during the relaxation of lockdown you could only visit Fountains Abbey by booking a time slot on line. Why would I want to purchase a ticket for two days hence when the weather might be awful?1 point

Massive shame for the lad and of course Ipswich. I hope he makes a full recovery. I can imagine Drew 'Kevin & Perry' it can't be just me that thinks with that hair style he looks like Kevin Kemp will replace him.1 point

If Savills are so brilliant, why do they need the public to find a new site ? Sounds like more BS.1 point

As long as people aren't please Jack got injured because they wanted another rider, I can't see the harm in speculating on his replacement. Worrying about Jack's health rather than the team won't make him heal quicker. Personally when I talk about replacements I like to add "get well soon" to the injured rider! Many others have said similar.1 point

Redcar 266 m Ashfield 302 m not a great difference, but Conner bailey gonna be riding for Workington and that track will be very similar to Redcar. So could be a benefit to both rider and club1 point

Wonder what our select team at Redcar is going to be then..... I am so grateful for the Bears for being able to put this meeting on, although I am unable to attend due to work 1. Steve Worrall 2. Max Clegg 3. Lewis Kerr 4. James Wright/Connor Mountain 5. Ben Barker/Richie Worrall 6. Adam Roynon 7. Archie Freeman1 point

Shane's is what he is, a 4.5/5 point champ rider more committed to grasstrack. Connor is dedicated and determined to make a success of speedway. If he can up his away average a couple points you've got 6 pointer on your hands. I think moving from Glasgow will be the making of him personally Additionally he has NDL now too, his form dipped when was a lull in the season having the extra meetings will definitely help his progress1 point

Whether or not this change is successful will depend on the rule being properly enforced. I notice that Wolverhampton had a two minute clock all last season but referees and riders paid scant attention to it and riders were regularly continuing to "garden" after the time had expired and I can recall only one instance when a rider was excluded for exceeding the time limit. Referees need to put their foot down and rigidly stick to the letter of the rule. There might be a brief time of chaos and howls of protest from riders, but they would soon get the message. Personally, I'd be strongly in favour of NO RESERVE replacement for excluded riders too!1 point

Where does this leave Rob Godfreys role as BSPL chairman? Does Morris have authority over him, or does he still need to report to the promoters? Still a few questions that need answers before we start the back slapping I think.1 point
