  1. Trackman Terry C who does Poole, Wolverhampton and Redcar? has had a minor stroke and it out of action for a while. I have been told he is now out of hospital and recovering. I am sure we on here would all like to wish Terry C all the best and a speedy recovery.

  2. We all should apologise to King's Lynn Speedway. Just received the evidence from the SCB that was sent to them. Hope you're all embarrassed

  3. I believe that after they demolished it, no one noticed for 3 years that it had happened.. Anyhow, 30 to 40 thousand max I would say if Wembley came back... Which will still be many more than attend UK Speedway each week.. Getting out of London on a Saturday evening to "anywhere" which is a decent distance outside it isn't fun though... A very risky, expensive pipe dream I would suggest...

  4. Why not just run the sport properly? A rider missing? Then (shock, horror), you sign someone else... Or run with (a fit for purpose), rider replacement facility, if you say "no one is available".. Speedway in the UK seems to like fo make up a myriad of supplementary nonsense rules and regs for every eventuality... And all needed because the initial rule or reg isnt crystal clear... Let's be honest, in this situation, they are hardly looking for a World Beater level rider are they? In fact, his level probably has the largest number of, (currently unattached in the UK), possible replacements globally... So bring one of them many possible replacements in... Or run with RR... So much self inflicted nonsense is allowed to go on, which has resulted in tens of thousands of fans, who still follow the sport, stop going... Maybe Phil Morris can help them to help themselves..

  6. Well done, but you didn't need to bring it up on this thread unless you wanted attention. I have done many things to help people, as have many other forum members, but haven't felt the need to mention it on a speedway forum.

  9. Shame from a Poole perspective they couldn’t get Rew’s signature. Looks miles ahead of the Cook’s talent wise. A few meetings around here and he’d be scoring bucket loads in the championship.

  10. What was up with zach cook tonight even young Hagon beat him I’m not being critical I’m just asking a question.as for some people questioning Poole for putting this meeting on good on them I say I’d love to see a gp rider like Doyle in a meeting at my club good on you Poole for thinking of your fans.

  11. Speedway and Weather forecasts are hardly something to get excited about as you will seen from his posts he certainly had a” bee in his bonnet” about the fixture.

  12. Couldn't they brought in a 'guest' gate. I'm sure Chris Harris would have one laying around they could have used...

  13. Can you make sure they are not too long as the last ones sent were and stuck out the other side. They need to be no longer than 3” at the most. Most importantly the screws need to be a posidrive head to fit the Irish left handed screwdriver.

  14. I have sent four screws to them....

  18. There is way more important things in life than speedway. Let alone pboro speedway but……. This is a speedway forum and specifically a Peterborough panthers thread so surely we are all allowed to talk all things panthers. And with no communication from the club what do ever this is the next best thing for most people. There are people on here that have speedway news before clubs even release stuff. Fair play for what you and your wife do but let’s not get personal on here for people having an opinion or venting their frustration

  19. The current Plymouth track is only 236yards so is a better comparison. Even then, I think it still races more like an average sized track than Costa Mesa does.

  20. I hope he does lol, give the rest of us a chance.

  21. I completely agree- this is what i wrote after round 1 against Smederna With great racing in Vastervik and kumla it was a wise decision to keep the Hallstavik meeting to last. I hoped that the boring track in previous season`s would have been ripped up in the winter !! sadly i was wrong and i had to endure another gate and go match- i counted 1 pass all night. It was a big home Rospiggarna victory before 1650 bored punters.

  22. Bluster postponed the match before the gate was bolted ... I'll get me coat.

  26. Ben Morley would've been a fair shout before we signed Proctor....don't think we'd benefit now that we've signed J.T. at reserve.
    1 point
  27. I think we're discussing who we'd prefer to see at PB, as opposed to another woeful signing by the man in charge! We obviously (speaking in general terms) would whince at Auty/Morris, or anybody else that has tried and failed. Bottom line is: sign young Brits and help them progress (D.Thompson/D.Kemp) ( meaning we accept the defeats along the way), or sign 2 riders that are going to make us competitive at home ! (at the least)

  28. Don’t forget it’s Poole. I’m sure mr vatcher will apply the rules correctly.

  29. If the meeting is sanctioned and held under the licence issued by the governing body then surely the rules should apply regardless......

  32. Knowing our manager, we will probably end up with Ashley Morris returning !

  33. Gappmaier would be ok, but only got six at Mureck last week. How about Antti Vuolas - scored 13 in the same meeting beating MJJ, Gusts, Huckenbeck and Rasmus Jensen (and also going well in Polish u24 league).

  34. Will they have even noticed?.. Or even actually be bothered? One less top rider in the meeting to knock them back a place in a race, (maybe two or three times)... Meaning instead of being third in a 4-2, they could be second in a 2-4.... And potentially extra RR, Tac Sub and Ht 15 rides Kerching....!! And there is always a team in a proper league to ride for elsewhere several times of the week...

  35. The rules aren't great, i'm sure clubs don't want to encourage a rider to turn up & slide off carefully to get a facility. Where's the cut-off going to be for riders injured pre-season? Becker - ridden a full season without missing a match vs Kennedy - in Scunthorpe's 2022 side till injury vs Wright & signed as a new rider for Birmingham. I can imagine there would be an outcry if there was different facilities given for 3 riders who hadn't ridden yet this year.

  36. My point was the timing of Middleditch's comments, there hasn't been a "first bend bunching" rule for as long as I can remember (if ever) but he brings it up after Poole lose a last heat decider.
    1 point
  37. I very much doubt they’ve even been asked?
    1 point
  38. "Do us a favour Keith, can you send a couple of photos of a busted gate and a bit of fence? They must have bent a post so one of that as well then we can can kill all this crap on the internet. It's better than you feigning a heart attack or pulling the distribution board stunt they've been done to death as have the sun off and burst water bowser. Oh by the way when you pulled the distribution board stunt did you know that CEF keep the parts in stock? (Just in case you need to go again with something) - I'd suggest an archeological find next time, nobody's done that yet!"

  39. I understand your pain remember we had rogers sniffing around our club not so long ago I believe he had some wonderful ideas how to spend others money but wasn’t prepared to part with any of his iwn.

  40. Sounds like you have more issues than us mate....if you don't like the this chat then maybe go on Facebook where it's all sunshine and roses..and you can clap along with them...and tbf this what we have here is not serious enough for a tantrum....I haven't had one of those since Harry Kane missed that Pen against France!

  41. There's no proof either way, a team managers job is to weigh up options, I certainly agree with not using the t/s in heat 6. With hindsight you could say they should have but Sedgmen in heat 7 ahead of Nielsen - if Sedgmen wins that heat they'd get a 4-2 instead of a 3-3 (2 point gain). Whoever you put in heat 6, might have beaten Hume but likely wouldn't have beaten Lawson, so again at best they'd be turning a 3-3 into a 4-2. However doing that would've likely meant using Proctor instead of Pearson in heat 12 (or 14) for his 3rd ride, if he loses to Mulford, the points gained by the tac sub are lost!

  42. Bless. Speedway for the sake of it not for me. I'll miss Peterborough speedway when it's gone I'm sure but the way it's been run into the ground has softened that blow for sure

  43. Surely just four - two in your section, one semi final and one final. Interesting that Edinburgh and Berwick two of the club's running NDL sides are out of the BSN and KO Cup competitions already and Oxford are out of the BSN too. The NDL tail is wagging the Championship dog. Has to be changed for next year.

  45. Think Hurry's greensheet vs actual average differ drastically.....5.72 doubled would be a bit steep for NL. The other issue that keeps some Kent based connections from being as tempting is Grasstrack. Mulford didn't want a sunday track and i doubt Hurry or Powell would be overly keen either.

  46. Anyone else bored of the silence from the club now, no number 1, everyone saying we need to start kicking up a stink regarding show ground re development but the club haven’t even said anything about what exactly they want the public/fans help with regarding this. If they want to tackle it on their own that’s fair enough but at least say something ! We’ve got to the end of this week to get a number 1 or the season is all but done, I know we will keep getting a facility for nicki blah blah but surely you want a team of 7 and not 6 plus who ever is available on the night, it’s getting pathetic now

  47. Why Birmingham not use sedgy as TS in heat 7? Redcar fans any happier with your 2nd strings?

  48. Know it reads wrong but as phillipsr has correctly said above NDL only for Ben Trigger he’s not ready and will just criple any ounce of confidence he has scoring Audi’s each week

  49. Should be riding exclusively in that league nowhere near ready

  50. I actually think its pretty clever from Poole manage keeping their riders active. I was looking at Glasgow's fixtures and the amount of free weeks is ridiculous, for example no home match between 4th may and 2nd June!! Fair play to Poole keeping riders busy and the fans interested. I mean this meeting alone is obviously nonsense but treating it for what it is it's a good idea imo
