Trackman Terry C who does Poole, Wolverhampton and Redcar? has had a minor stroke and it out of action for a while. I have been told he is now out of hospital and recovering. I am sure we on here would all like to wish Terry C all the best and a speedy recovery.10 points

I believe that after they demolished it, no one noticed for 3 years that it had happened.. Anyhow, 30 to 40 thousand max I would say if Wembley came back... Which will still be many more than attend UK Speedway each week.. Getting out of London on a Saturday evening to "anywhere" which is a decent distance outside it isn't fun though... A very risky, expensive pipe dream I would suggest...3 points

Why not just run the sport properly? A rider missing? Then (shock, horror), you sign someone else... Or run with (a fit for purpose), rider replacement facility, if you say "no one is available".. Speedway in the UK seems to like fo make up a myriad of supplementary nonsense rules and regs for every eventuality... And all needed because the initial rule or reg isnt crystal clear... Let's be honest, in this situation, they are hardly looking for a World Beater level rider are they? In fact, his level probably has the largest number of, (currently unattached in the UK), possible replacements globally... So bring one of them many possible replacements in... Or run with RR... So much self inflicted nonsense is allowed to go on, which has resulted in tens of thousands of fans, who still follow the sport, stop going... Maybe Phil Morris can help them to help themselves..3 points

Well done, but you didn't need to bring it up on this thread unless you wanted attention. I have done many things to help people, as have many other forum members, but haven't felt the need to mention it on a speedway forum.3 points

Bowtell bought fish and chips in Swindon once hence he gets to ride for them.3 points

Shame from a Poole perspective they couldn’t get Rew’s signature. Looks miles ahead of the Cook’s talent wise. A few meetings around here and he’d be scoring bucket loads in the championship.2 points

What was up with zach cook tonight even young Hagon beat him I’m not being critical I’m just asking a question.as for some people questioning Poole for putting this meeting on good on them I say I’d love to see a gp rider like Doyle in a meeting at my club good on you Poole for thinking of your fans.2 points

Speedway and Weather forecasts are hardly something to get excited about as you will seen from his posts he certainly had a” bee in his bonnet” about the fixture.2 points

Couldn't they brought in a 'guest' gate. I'm sure Chris Harris would have one laying around they could have used...2 points

There is way more important things in life than speedway. Let alone pboro speedway but……. This is a speedway forum and specifically a Peterborough panthers thread so surely we are all allowed to talk all things panthers. And with no communication from the club what do ever this is the next best thing for most people. There are people on here that have speedway news before clubs even release stuff. Fair play for what you and your wife do but let’s not get personal on here for people having an opinion or venting their frustration2 points

Well colour me surprised. I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong. Birmingham must have a decent chance of a result at Poole...1 point

Impressive performance from Kinsley tonight scoring 10+1 from 4 beating both Thompsons in heat 13 could he find his way back into a Scorpions race jacket ?!1 point

Mind you the way his riding for Poole at the moment r/r probably won't do you any harm.....1 point

she rode in the competition last year at Pardubice but due to lack of riders it was a 'mixed' nationality team1 point

For someone who says they've got more important things to worry about than moaning, sure as hell is doing a lot of moaning1 point

If the meeting is sanctioned and held under the licence issued by the governing body then surely the rules should apply regardless......1 point

It's a Richard Hollingsworth organised event he puts scunthorpe team together to run alongside other classes in amateur meetings. Think Lee and kean dicken organised the hull team the amsa team is done by their organisation and I think Sam woods does Boston. This event is open to anyone who wants to put a team together just contact Richard. The main difference here is all riders pay to enter and no payments are made to riders and fans don't pay to watch, so it's different from the IOW events and the Mdsl where fans pay and or riders are paid. If you would like to enter a team contact Richard I'm sure he would be happy to include more teams.1 point

Will they have even noticed?.. Or even actually be bothered? One less top rider in the meeting to knock them back a place in a race, (maybe two or three times)... Meaning instead of being third in a 4-2, they could be second in a 2-4.... And potentially extra RR, Tac Sub and Ht 15 rides Kerching....!! And there is always a team in a proper league to ride for elsewhere several times of the week...1 point

The rules aren't great, i'm sure clubs don't want to encourage a rider to turn up & slide off carefully to get a facility. Where's the cut-off going to be for riders injured pre-season? Becker - ridden a full season without missing a match vs Kennedy - in Scunthorpe's 2022 side till injury vs Wright & signed as a new rider for Birmingham. I can imagine there would be an outcry if there was different facilities given for 3 riders who hadn't ridden yet this year.1 point

"Do us a favour Keith, can you send a couple of photos of a busted gate and a bit of fence? They must have bent a post so one of that as well then we can can kill all this crap on the internet. It's better than you feigning a heart attack or pulling the distribution board stunt they've been done to death as have the sun off and burst water bowser. Oh by the way when you pulled the distribution board stunt did you know that CEF keep the parts in stock? (Just in case you need to go again with something) - I'd suggest an archeological find next time, nobody's done that yet!"1 point

I understand your pain remember we had rogers sniffing around our club not so long ago I believe he had some wonderful ideas how to spend others money but wasn’t prepared to part with any of his iwn.1 point

Fancy the Panthers to pull off a win. Cup competitions are unpredictable and league form goes out of the window.1 point
-
Maybe when the meeting is rescheduled then both teams should field the same lineup as intended on the night. Because obviously that had nothing to do with the call off ??? im sure bluster is a honest chap. Just remind me though who faked a heart attack at Edinburgh because a kings lynn rider was caught in traffic and wasn’t going to make the start time ?1 point

Bless. Speedway for the sake of it not for me. I'll miss Peterborough speedway when it's gone I'm sure but the way it's been run into the ground has softened that blow for sure1 point
-
Surely just four - two in your section, one semi final and one final. Interesting that Edinburgh and Berwick two of the club's running NDL sides are out of the BSN and KO Cup competitions already and Oxford are out of the BSN too. The NDL tail is wagging the Championship dog. Has to be changed for next year.1 point

That's OK then - the speedway and it's owners are not to blame The fault lay with the stock cars and those owners not being able to repair the damage they caused I wonder who they are and how the speedway can hold them to account......1 point
-
Oh what a hero..and I applaud you for that (I honestly do)..but wtf has that got to do with Panthers demise!?...if you must know I went Carp fishing and then watched Monday night football...this is a speedway forum btw so people are allowed to have opinions on speedway things that are going on at their club and this includes concerning things such as the predicament we are in now..but hey at least Posh made the play offs so it's not all doom and gloom in Peterborough!1 point

The issue always appeaed to me that when tracks did "£10 Speedway" it was very much part of a marketing plan akin "Build it and they will come".. And was a one off, maybe tops two, meeting venture.. The trick that I never saw happen was to use the night as a launch pad for further targeted offers down the line... Names, mobile numbers, email and home addresses, birthday dates of the adults and more importantly maybe the kids, etc could all have been gleaned on the nights that the "special" was done.. And with that info you then target market ongoing.. Expecting someone to pay a tenner, or even nothing at all, for anything, and then expect instant constant repeat purchasers at circa twenty quid is utter folly.. Get someone attending four or five times over say a couple of months and you have more chance of hooking them long term.. A £10 Speedway night" should be planned both on and off the track and see clubs armed at the end of it with an incredible amount of information from which to build their business.. And see the fans there that night leave armed with tangibles such car stickers, pens, and other "cheap as chips" memorabilia that gets your reach out there on a base level, and also armed with contact info for those at the club, and links to club websites, fans groups etc... (But maybe not a link to us on here)..1 point
