And eres me thinking that 'Ashton Gate' was a football ground !10 points

It does sound rather implausible. Think a bit of retrospective covering up may be going on to try and mitigate against the likelyhood of disciplinary action.7 points

I heard that his ankle actually "fell off" and that the Polish doctors (who seem much, much, much better than ours), were able to sew it on again for him... With no lasting issues.. "As goodski as newski Brady", was what he was told.. As Turkey seems to be the place to get your teeth "done" nowadays, Poland is obviously the place to get injuries fixed in record time which defy all previous medical history and knowledge..5 points
-
Let's hope Brady's ankle injury wasn't aggravated again whilst scoring a 15 point maximum yesterday.4 points

Never thought to get checked out by the doctors on site? Lets drive 7 hours home instead! Surely a 28 day ban is coming4 points

He basically confirmed what Leicester said on their website. His Dad was taken ill and they had to return home. He was meant to be riding at Iwade today but pulled out from that too. He apologised to Leicester as a whole and everyone at Iwade today.4 points

I don’t think Woffy is finished yet, but he has certainly gone backwards a little these last 2 years.Doyle looked done last year, but has fought back strong this year. No reasons Woffinden can’t do the same. As for Janowski, I have never rated him as a potential world champion. Too inconsistent, particularly in Gp’s away from Poland.4 points

That's next Sunday! This time last season Kent had ridden one home league match and two away, there were two home league matches in July, August and September. So far this season they've ridden one at home and three away. They have one home meeting next week, two in July, two in August and one in September. There are only 8 teams in the NDL so meeting are spread out throughout the season. There was an amateur meeting today, and last week would have been the second NORA meeting but that was cancelled.3 points

Don't be daft, clubs will vote on what suits them best, nothing else will matter! Look at how long the "rising star" system lasted in the Champ for example!3 points

Just have a concrete surface to start from, No getting off bikes and messing about, Up to the tapes, Green light on and go. Simple.3 points

No it isn't. Anyone who thinks that this will solve everything is deceiving themselves.3 points

Every team should be allowed one senior rider such as Lee to help pass on advice to the younger riders , but the league should be about development3 points

It's like a weird comedy show. It's a shame it wasn't the Panthers meeting on TV,,, and tonight Riss guest for the Panthers who normally races for Ipswich,,who are also racing tonight,,,any what's going on at Ipswich,, tonight Barker races his last meeting as injury cover for Riss,,, who is no longer injured and is guesting for the Panthers, hey??? Only in speedway2 points

Until we know (if we ever do) the actual circumstances, we can't really make assumptions. For a start, did his dad do the driving home. or was there someone else to drive? As far as "mitigating circumstances," I'm not so sure about that. Seek medical advice (plenty of that around) and seek another mechanic. If medical advice is "go home" then maybe, but the rider should still be disciplined for not riding in the meeting (I would expect a 28 day ban). But, as I say, let's hear the truth of what actually happened.2 points

We are very grateful to Nigel Tolley and before him the Masons for keeping Brummies alive against mounting odds and big losses. Your one man moaning vendetta though against Mark Phillips is OTT I've not seen Nigel driving a tractor or preparing the track. Nor Dave and Peter Mason Not seen them rebuilding completely new Stands, put in new lighting, drag a struggling NDL team up to the CL and recruit the likes of Crump, Anderson, Palm Toft and others to try to make it work Perry Barr is in the middle of everywhere, Plymouth is on a never ending road to almost no where. Mark Phillips deserves great credit, not your constant moaning.2 points
-
I take my hat off to mr Tolley at least he realises a shake up needs to be made not like my team birminghams results are no worse than ours but I bet they make more changes before we do, lack of riders is always the reason cited, other teams manage to put teams good teams together for me Kyle howarth got it spot on the fixture list is a joke not enough meetings between now and the middle of August my team Plymouth have 4 meetings at home left season over absolute joke.2 points

Crap GP, crap final. Please don’t return to this awful track. Even the fans know it’s dire as there were probably 3000 there at most.2 points

How about a scenario where a potential buyer for the club, and current owner couldn’t come to an agreement over the sale . The potential buyer had already got his team sorted, but when the deal fell through the current owner couldn’t or wouldn’t honour the contracts that had been agreed, and the sponsors didn’t get the team they thought were buying in to . Just a thought2 points

Interesting rule that Riss has to wait till the 28 days is up to return to Ipswich, but can guest for Peterborough in the meantime!1 point
-
If he was allowed to, Riss would be taking his place back tomorrow at Foxhall instead of racing at Monmore Green. But he can’t. Nothing to do with Ipswich not risking him. Riss has already come through his comeback meeting for Redcar with flying colours. But yes, it certainly doesn’t harm Ipswich for Riss to get another meeting under his belt before he returns for Ipswich next Thursday at Sheffield.1 point
-
Makes a mockery of the injury replacement rule. Riss can't return to Ipswich yet but can guest for another team? I assume that means if King was injured he could guest for him, but not get his team spot back till the 28 days are up?1 point

Ok I’ll put it another way, the natives are getting restless I’m hearing more and more negative comments every week. And there are a lot more empty spaces in the stadium of course I want the club to succeed there my club . But this year more than any other is the first time I have been worried about its future maybe the financial climate we are in people part with there hard earned money want to be entertained and feel the only entertainment is being provided by the opposition. We have one of the strongest heat leader trios on paper and we go to Poole and concede nine (nine) 5-1s.now I no Poole are good but not that good.sorry for hijacking the Birmingham thread.1 point

I’d agree that similar to Birmingham at home the previous week, the Tigers weren’t great, the opposition were just poor. We beat what was in front of us - that’s all you can do. I hope Craig is fit on Friday, because some of us would like to see some good racing, not a wipeout. And maybe Craig and Ben can dress up as the mascots and have a fight during the interval!1 point

Don’t you know -Kolodziej and Zengi are injured !! Brown rides in the U 24 Extraleague and is based in Poland like others including Cluff and Bowes.1 point

That's the key thing to me. If you have a track that can actually be raced, the difference in the gates becomes much less important. Obviously it would be nice if gates were equal, but if they have to focus on something, I'd prefer that to be preparing a track that enables passing rather than making sure gates are all equal.1 point

You are incorrect - the phrase "home loss" is correct if you check the fixtures/results section on the official site.1 point

There are 20 odd speedway tracks in Germany, why oh why do Discovery keep going back to this track...... the same reason they signed 4 year deal with Gorzow (money). Short term financial gain but it doesn't do anything for speedway long term.1 point

Indeed, not riding for the Aces on Thursday night at King's Lynn, obviously did wonders!! Seems he's scored a 15 point maximum for Rybnik today. So was he injured, or did Rybnik use their 'Polish influence' and prevented him from riding at Saddlebow Road?? Certainly has a whiff of fish or a rat.1 point
-
Its just dawned on me that most these riders don't give a crap about who they ride for and only who bids the most for them..so that's Tungate off to Lynn then....1 point
-
First of all. Must say that’s the best racing I’ve seen at lynn in a long time, track was perfect. secondly, laguta is just class, and soon will be scoring maximum after maximum there so if you can sort your engine room out then you won’t loose many. thirdly, I know lynn are struggling but that’s a great result for us without Kurtz, every single rider did the job they are paid to do. A very professional performance.1 point
