Poole are quite clearly the hot favourites to win the league they have built up a strong team as always and will no doubt be top What I don’t like is time and time again they bin off a Brit for no real reason …. Poole are winning matches and often comfortably… if Max is only scoring 1 or 2 but you winning then why move him on?? Is this Foord going to bang in match changing scores like 6 or 7 or will it just be 3 and 4 which in all fairness you are better off giving young Max the opportunity …. He had a horror crash last season and he needs time to come back from that and the fact he is racing at a higher level …… if Poole are simply going to sack him this early in the season then they shouldn’t have signed him at all .. did they expect him to come back and get 6 or 7 every week…. Sorry I think it’s poor8 points

As much as I'm delighted with the signing of Kvech in his place, Tofty should have been given the courtesy of being told he was being replaced. That's just the decent thing to do.4 points

To me it was stupid of the management to ask him in the first place. No one could win, if he got 12 points, people would say they'd made a mistake sacking him and not Lampart, if he got 0 they'd say he didn't try had the hump and was the right one to go and wouldn't have done him any favours, or heaven forbid he got injured and ruined his chances of another team straight away. I expect most riders would have said no a day after being sacked I would have thought.4 points

He has only been replaced until he is back from injury then they will see where they are, that’s what rob Lyon said last night, think MPT has jumped to conclusions3 points

Which Brits have Poole time and time again 'binned off' for no reason? C'mon Gav name names!!3 points

No it isn’t. He withdrew from his last polish match due to injury. he got to pick a date for a return and as a pole I see no reason to not give your country of birth (Poland) your return to see how it goes. nothing to see here3 points

I would say when Max gets into a points scoring position he is more than capable of holding it but Vinnie really goes for it 110% and looks better at passing. Just my opinion though. Also who expects a two pointer to get 6-7? That's ridiculous if anyone does expect that. The aim should be 2 and anything over that is a bonus.3 points

Actually it does mean something, if you are top of the league then you are further clear of 5th, so more likely to make the top 4.3 points

Every now and then there are riders with unusual or exotic speedway backgrounds. One of them is MARIO HÄUSL, who is half German and half Seychellois. The seventeen-year old rides as a junior in the Polish League team of the German speedway club Landshut Devils. Mario, "The Pride of the Seychelles" is pictured here in Landshut racing gear, together with his mum. The Seychellois people ar a unique blend of Créole, Indian, Chinese, French and British Bloods. https://www.nation.sc/articles/18870/speedway-talent-mario-husl-signs-with-ac-landshut-2 points

Funny how heat 4 was awarded at an earlier stage than heat 14 at Berwick last Saturday night. Possibly cost Berwick a win and shows inconsistency in the referees.2 points

If he was getting one or two points I doubt he would be sacked, he was getting zero unless a breakdown happened and yes Foord got zero in his first meeting but he looked more likely to score and one or two points in a tight meeting may make all the difference. I think if you have a chance to improve the team you do it every time.2 points

It comes as no surprise to see that Tobiasz Musielak is lining up in Poland this evening for Ostrow.2 points

I agree that Leon is proving to be a bit of a disappointment this year. I hope it's a temporary dip in form and that he will resume his upward development in due course. I don't like making comparisons but in this case I will. Dan Thompson has been making steady progress for several seasons. He has clearly found a happy home at Ipswich and has made the next step. It is obvious (to me anyway) that any youngster entering the Rising Star system is going to find himself in a very daunting environment. They are going to need constant help with set ups, riding technique and ongoing help to maintain their confidence. This ain't a case of putting a lad (or lass) in the number 7 position in a top flight team and assuming just because they are there, that they'll make progress. Without constant mentoring they are likely to go backwards (metaphorically speaking).2 points

Wofinden is so full of ink and hair dye that he can't keep up these days ........ his time in the GP's is coming to an end and he's back in UK to pick up some "easy" money (although it didn't pan out that way last night)!!2 points

Positives for the Brummies last night in Lindgren needed no time to settle and Tom Brennan and Viktor Lampart also looked quick. I think you obviously lost the Semi Final at Home on Monday,8 points up and fail to take a lead was worrying for the Birmingham boys. But last night at Reserve for me was your huge problem,Leon Flint tried hard, but just didn't get involved in enough races, but I agree,Pawlicki looked woeful,I praised him up on Monday, and to be fair said to some Brummie Supporters I think it will be Zack Cook that goes, but don't know if that was the correct decision. Trouble is who is out there for you to bin Pawlicki, hope it gets sorted,as enjoyed my 2 visits to Birmingham this season. Good Club, great Supporters.2 points

Woffinden looked to be going through the motions again on another away track tonight, he’s definitely getting a ‘gating tart’ name for himself. Wonder if he’ll call himself out for under performing?2 points

Kvech deserves to be in the GP series as the 3rd highest qualifier outside of the GPs top 6. As far as I'm concerned he is more deserving of his place than Lebedevs, Bewley, Woffinden, Huckenbeck & Kubera, who all required wild cards after not qualifying. I don't expect much from Kvech for Lynn, think his 6.00 assessed average is realistic. But putting Wojdylo at reserve should be a trump card.2 points

BK might not ride again this season but he will ride in the GP Challenge. Riders have ridden in World Championship qualifiers while carrying an injury that stops them riding week in week out for years. Look at our own country back in the 80s the authorities wouldn't seed Kenny Carter to the Commonwealth Final so he rode in a British Final qualifying round and the Final with a broken leg. Both meetings also in very difficult conditions. I was at the Semifinal and they had to carry him out of the pits to sit on the bike.2 points

Cud be the difference between winning & losing a meeting those couple of extra points or an aggregate win which is very important come the business end of the season.1 point

Flint stagnating at best (similar to Gilkes), if he wasn’t a Rising Star he wouldn’t be near a Premiership team, whereas the likes of Hagon, Boughen, D Thompson look like they are moving forward1 point

He's injured? What does he expect Lynn to do? Run with 6 riders? Or maybe he should have got down to the track to help his team mates out, he would have found out in person then!1 point

Now he was quality and box office. His win in the British Final, passing others on that wet track was courageous beyond belief.1 point

Can see Oxford stealing this. No Atkins or Boughen, but Hook is a decent replacement and Scott went well at Edinburgh in the NDL. 43-471 point

I thought the track looked a lot slicker last night than in previous seasons, the dirt was lighter in colour and even at the start of meeting riders were not having their arms pulled out with the usual 100% grip surface, didn’t seem to improve racing though although I don’t think it’s down to the track, I believe it’s down to the engine/tyre configuration1 point

Jenkins has picked up a little, but it’s a pretty low bar. He’s been generally poor this season so far in both leagues, but as you say, he’s won a couple of important races recently. BUT, Hawkins said this on the official website this week.. ”we will look at options and see what we can do, and we will do what is best for Ipswich Speedway and do our very best to make us the strongest team out on track” There can’t be an argument that if an 8 point man is brought in to replace Doyle, then another change (i.e Cook for Jenkins) would make the team stronger. Is not replacing Jenkins with Cook “doing what is best for Ipswich Speedway to make us the strongest team out on track”? The obvious answer is no. I’m with you though, I think it’ll be a straight swap for Doyle and that’ll be that. But it could end up being another opportunity missed. King has withdrawn from tomorrow’s British final by the way.1 point

Generally the racing hasn't been as good at Lynn over the last twenty odd years due to the high clay content of the material used but the stock cars pay the big bills so that won't change. What I would say though is that when the home side gates so well and the away team is struggling with set ups all night then you won't get the best racing. Last night was average, we've seen better and worse at Lynn. Also no R/R, changes, crashes or false starts meant it was all done in an hour and twenty minutes which I think is about right for a speedway meeting. Nice to be home well before 10pm.1 point

He has, he rode for Eastbourne in 2014/14 and a few meetings for Leicester in 2015. Most of the tracks he rode in that time are sadly gone though1 point

Pawlicki has got to go surely? Signed as a number 1, now averaging 4.4 and scores 3 points at reserve…1 point

Lindgren needs to try and persuade Kim Nilsson or thorsell to come back to Uk and join him At brum Pawlicki just ain’t doing it. at least is they are decent on all types of tracks and probably cheaper1 point
