You also have to factor in, who Schroeck will drop throughout the season to make his team weaker, when in with a chance of the play-offs 😏10 points

Take away the off track problems and Cook is and has been one of the best riders the league for years. The bloke is quality and bangs in points wherever he goes.6 points

2 years at Glasgow he was untouchable and an absolute joy to watch. Not many former monarchs captains could have so much Glasgow support!4 points

Just a quick congratulations to Scotty for being WSRA Rider of the year. He certainly did his bit for the Witches last season. Well done mate 👍4 points

where ever Craig ends up at. we all hope he has a good season . we dont own riders , but they entertain us big time .3 points

I liked Pearson, but he’s no loss. Any rider who falls from the first team to reserve at the expense of - with all due respect - Jack Smith, can’t look back too fondly on the season. If we sign Ashton Boughen, I’ll passionately throw my fist in the air in celebration. Even if I’m at a funeral.3 points

Who remember their presentation back in Torun 2021 where they talked about this "new era of speedway". One thing they mentioned was that they had no intention on changing the format. 'The format is already perfect'. Here we are few years later and now it's completely ruined... good job.3 points

A very Berwick esque signing if this is true. Just get Jye announced as well and I’m sure the season tickets will go like hot cakes 😄2 points

He must really hate Glasgow….he’s the only one not been mentioned in their line-up…..lol2 points

The first loss I recall is David Nix (Apologies if I’ve got the name wrong) in the early 00s at King’s Lynn. I remember reading about it in the Speedway Star and becoming acutely aware how dangerous the sport was. Lee Richardson was also a shock. I had drifted away from the sport by then, but Lee I was saddened by the news of his passing. Former riders like Lawrence Hare, Neil Hewitt, David McAllan, Garry Stead, Darcy Ward, etc. gave their livelihood for our entertainment. I hope their combative and competitive mindsets that brought them to the sport have aided them in their new ways of life.2 points

I think if there are then shame on them. Sad state of affairs! Riders like Doyle and Emil being in British speedway helps the gates on every team they race at so to be pleased they’re out injured when it impacts their own teams revenue seems completely counterintuitive to me. and on a human level why would you take joy in someone else’s injury and loss of earnings and livelihood whatever level of rider that is? I’m certain last years league title would’ve tasted sweeter for every single belle vue fan had it been won over a full strength Ipswich or Sheffield side2 points

I blame Belle Vue. If they hadn’t been so selfish and kept their top 3 heatleaders there would be more heatleaders available to help the clubs lower down.. 😉2 points

I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve with this change. On the one hand, I suppose it guarantees that the top scorer in the qualifying heats is in the final, with the first gate pick, which is fairer than having to qualify through the semis. On the other hand, going through 20 heats, just to eliminate 6 riders, seems a step too far for me. If they want to award GP points based on finishing position, rather than points scored in the heats, perhaps they could go back to the old 'A' final, 'B' final system. Top 4 qualify for the 'A' final, 4 to 8 for the 'B' final etc. At least that would prevent anyone outside the top 4 point scorers from the heats winning the GP.2 points

Kvech, Iversen and Klindt didn’t leave last season… Lawson didn’t leave the 2 seasons he was at Lynn previously… Harris or B Cook didn’t leave Peterborough when they were there under Buster and Rob… so why would any of them leave now? Don’t be silly2 points

Gambling is a mug's game. Betting is OK if you're betting on a certainty. I wouldn't gamble on Ipswich winning the 2025 Premiership title, but I'd bet on the Earth not being flat, and on Kyle Howarth having signed for Leicester.2 points

He's probably the least best out of the R.S selection...Didnt score many points at the end of the season ...2 points

I know there’s been speculation…..but I didn’t know Poole had actually moved from Winbourne Road?…….lol2 points

The World Speedway Riders Association have named Peter Schroeck their team manager of the year! I can't disagree with their summary of his season: Having managed Oxford’s teams for all 66 fixtures across the 3 levels of British Speedway, the German has shown the greatest commitment in 2024! But being in charge of the most meetings doesn't make him the best manager! I've never suggested he doesn't work hard, but he's one of the worst "tactical" managers I've ever seen.2 points

Hearing from the AGM Workington are looking at the NDL for 2025 with the club looking at creating an asset base of local youngsters from the North and give them a chance of a career in the sport. With local riders like Laylan Richardson mixed with fan favourite Elliot Kelly, a return to the third tier could be on the cards.1 point
-
It will be the "best, most unified AGM ever".. With all teams looking forward to a great season with some great plans to move the sport forwards... 2024 was a "great season" and will be built on in 2025.. There will be a huge, joined up, collective marketing campaign with "Bring a Friend" and "It's a family sport" being the headline strap line to bring thousands back, or interest new people...1 point

Looking like the 1 change from 2024 (Howarth for Lawson) unless Cookie is heading to Oxford.1 point

Kurtz and Bewley are fantastic riders and I would say on a par with Doyle and Emil for sure ….. but to say they are more reliable is you talking out of your ass like you do all the time …… why don’t you do us all a favour and eff off1 point

Kurtz and Bewley are more reliable than Doyle and Emil. So anyone thinking of putting money on Ipswich is silly.1 point

Playing around in the garden with a gun and some mates and he managed to shoot himself in the head. He has recovered and he came over to Newcastle to present Archie Freeman (who idolised him) with his British 150cc Championship in 2019. Lovely guy, brilliant gater and he lives in Denmark and rides a big road bike. Could have been a great rider.1 point

The worst example was in 2018 when Lakeside regularly had matches cancelled by the Management Committee as they were bottom of the pecking order and if they had raced scheduled Fixtures a certain Promoter could not get a Guest who had broken his leg very early in the season.1 point
