  1. For any fans thinking of going, and wanting hot food, please take sandwiches, just in case there is no Cook available 😀

  2. Isn’t boughen the youngest rider in that league? And the youngest by 3+ years in the premiership. Scored 10 points in the top league in his first two meetings this year and then an unfortunate crash in his 3rd meeting while on a 5-1 with bomber. I agree he’s struggled since the crash but surely we shouldn’t be criticising just yet? I am a kings lynn fan but following his journey up with you guys. Some of his performances last season was the best I have ever seen in 40+ years of watching and following speedway. He’s 17 with 2 years experience under his belt, let’s give him time and hopefully he will do what I and most of us know he can do.

  3. Leicester & Dickerson got that badly wrong & must be kicking themselves now. Louis & Hawkins seem to be fantastic judges of not only talent but attitude & personality. No pre Madonna’s just a bunch of talented, hardworking down to earth guys.

  4. If they arent going to take the top league seriously they might as well not bother tbh, they gave upon the play offs mid season in 24 when well placed, nobody knows whether it was financial but it could have been. Janowski is just not the same rider away from poland but if your going to team build under strength your going to struggle. Shining light seems to be francis gusts who looks a combative bold rider capable of mixing it .

  6. All of those things are true, his main reason for riding in the UK is for more bike time. Michael is also spot on about the track and why it needs to improve. I am told his polish club are very happy with his start to the season, they want him to continue riding in the UK as they feel regular races will keep him sharp.

  12. Two days after the match & I'm still waiting for Oxford's match report, was looking to see what excuses Schroeck has this time. Didn't take them so long after the Cheetahs victory on Wednesday to post the match report.

  13. I don’t really get all the noise about Foxhall being a boring track with no passing. I agree that it does not hold a candle to the NSS but that is purpose built, single use, designed from scratch and funded by the taxpayer. No UK track can hold a candle to the NSS, it’s brilliant. When compared to the remainder of the Premiership tracks, I don’t think it’s any worse and I would argue better than some. Yet again, Louis has spent time and money over the winter making more improvements which from memory is the fourth or fifth set of improvements over the past few years. You can’t fault the endeavour. It’s too early in the season to judge how successful the improvements made over the winter are because the only way you would have had close racing with lots of passing this season so far is if you had introduced handicap racing and given every Aces and Spires rider a five yard head start. You can’t have passing when the home team is consistently first and second into the first bend and even on the odd occasion they aren’t, they steam round or under the away riders. It’s pretty hard getting past Doyle, Sayfutdinov, Brennan, etc at Foxhall once you are behind them.

  14. If more fans thought like that, I'm sure there would be challenge matches, individual events, pairs, fours at every track & fans wouldn't have to opportunity to moan about lack of matches. Unfortunately as long as a fair selection of fans only turn up for league matches, that'll never happen. I think as it's the same 7 riders wether it's the league, KOC or challenge, why go to one but not the others?

  16. Should be a tight match. Even though I am unable to attend, I shall be keeping an eye on the updates. So much talent on show, I hope that it is a real success tomorrow. There was a piece on Meridian news last night about it.

  19. Like every season, I was filled with false hope again this year, and the way Harris started off I though it boded well going forward. And then........... It seems now that what KL do with team manipulation is irrelevant. They are dead cert finishing 5th.

  25. Yes that’s correct, so you hit 75% on 21/7/25. Belle Vue have the least amount of time again to make changes with our cut off being almost four weeks before Ipswich or Oxford.

  26. That he's only riding in England for more bike time, that the team is really struggling, he can't get out of the starts and the blue groove has been appearing after heat 4. His body language and facial expressions gave the impression he didn't want to talk about Birmingham, unless he's just miserable all the time...

  28. We got beat at home in a glorified friendly we won away in another glorified friendly. We have ridden two meetings but on here we are now in no particular order. Not a good team Weak Not a top 3 Team Poor And that is not including the personal slaughtering of a young rider. This place is Bipolar.

  30. It's a shame you came down from sunny Manchester determined not to enjoy yourself! I'll counter your selective lowlights from updates with: Heat 5: Kurtz passed Douglas on Bend 2 Lap 4 Heat 6: Fricke does eventually get up the inside coming off Bend 2 Lap 2 Heat 7: Masters who continued to press hard throughout the race. Kemp went under Cook on Bend 4 Lap 1 Heat 8: Blodorn comes down on the backstraight whilst battling Becker for the lead Heat 11: holds off Masters for 2 laps before the race settled down Heat 12: Lidsey rides a fantastic opening lap to pass Kemp exiting Bend 2 and then Douglas on Bend 4 before clearing off Heat 13: Bewley trying hard to pass Masters and is briefly past him off Bend 4 Lap 1 before Masters gets back into third down the homestraight Heat 15: Aces out in front until Fricke forcefully goes under Kurtz entering Bend 3 Lap 2, creating a gap that he goes through and Becker follows Add this to the tight scoreline, possible come back from the Aces and Fricke putting in a captains ride to win the match with his partner in the last race decider... and I'm not really sure what you want from a Speedway match, I can only conclude it's a win at all costs.

  31. Though heat 13 was a classic . Disappointed we couldn't win on the night , but at least with Bomber you are guaranteed entertainment if things aren't going the way you'd hoped . Fair play to Edinburgh , impressed with Polis , Armadale might be a different proposition for him though .

  35. You are an absolute plank Ipswich wanted to sign a number one to replace Doyle and couldn’t find one … Dudek was close but stopped and I doubt he would have been like Doyle more like Janowski. Lets see how Sheffield replace Tai… they probably can’t and would have to make 2 changes or run with guests like Ipswich did Oh and I know how thick you are but Ipswich have built the team over a number of years King 2015… Doyle 2022…. Emil 2023 Ellis 2024….. Dan T 2024….Jenkins 2024 and Brennan 2025 Ellis was sacked by Sheffield and Dan by Leicester and we picked them up anyone could have done the same …. Imagine Dan T at 6 rather that Zischke … imagine Ellis at 4 not Zach Cook If no managers have the foresight to sign riders then that’s their fault Our management have built this team gradually and maybe we might get the rewards You come across as either a child a troll or someone with no speedway knowledge

  37. I'm genuinely sad for you if you thought heat 15 was the only genuine race of the night... I think the rest of us enjoyed it a lot more. Riders don't always have to change places for it to be a good race, you obviously missed the other passes... your mind must still have been in the King's Lynn car park 🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘

  38. I hope that supporters wanting to use public transport to get to Perry Barr Stadium, will find this information useful: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All buses to the stadium from Birmingham City Centre start in ALBERT STREET which is a short walk from MOOR STREET rail station. From the station, cross the road and turn right. Albert Street is the third street down on the left, recognisable by the large carpark on the corner. Bus Number 33 (B'ham to Pheasey) stops outside the stadium entrance. and Bus number 51 (Not 51X) stops at the One Stop Shopping Precinct opposite the stadium. Both have a journey time of approximately 20 minutes. (bus number 51X passes the stadium but doesn't stop there!) Bus numbers 907 B'ham to Sutton-Coldfield), 934 (B'ham to Walsall via Pheasey) 935 B'ham to Walsall via Streetly), 936 (B'ham to Brownhills via Walsall Wood), 937 (B'ham to Brownhills via Boney Hay) and 997 (B'ham to Rushall via Aldridge) are all express services which each have only four stopping places before reaching the stadium, and all stop in Aldridge Road right outside the stadium. All of these routes run at ten minutes intervals and all have a journey time of approximately 8 minutes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trains leave Birmingham New Street on the hour and on the half hour and have a journey time of 12 minutes. Perry Barr Station is a 5 minute walk from the stadium. Return trains (after speedway meetings) leave Perry Barr Station at 21 and 33 minutes past the hour. The last train from Perry Barr to New Street leaves at 22.21. Trains from Walsall also call at Perry Barr at 12 and 42 minutes past the hour with a journey time of 15 minutes. The last Perry Barr to Walsall train is at 23.12. I hope that

  41. Again, people shouting their mouths off with no understanding of what 'mental health problems' either means or entails. "Should a rider be issued a licence if he has mental health problems?" Did you know that if someone has OCD, that is classified as a mental health problem?! So if somebody has to continually wash their hands, or has to count a number of times before carrying out a daily task, or has to check they have unplugged the iron five times before leaving the house, they cannot ride speedway?! Don't be so ridiculous. Next, you'll be asking for a table of classification as to what permits you to ride and what doesn't. There are too many people who think the term 'mental health issues' means 'nutter' and that anyone suffering from it is incapable of living a normal life. And for the other person on here who believes that Craig's problem is alcoholism, and that he is using the excuse of mental health issues to cover it...firstly, you know NOTHING at present. But let's humour you...if someone does have an issue with alcohol, you do realise that may be BECAUSE of their mental health problems?! Up to 75% of PTSD sufferers turn to alcohol. But I suppose they are all using mental health as an excuse too are they?!

  46. There is absolutely no excuse for that lack of professionalism. Others manage it, so why can’t Lynn? The whole idea of press day in particular is to get the team photos done and promote the bloody sport! Can’t do that if riders don’t bother turning up 🙄 Pathetic.
    1 point
  47. Don’t think I’ve ever known a press and practice with two missing riders before. Reading Racers in the 80s often had 6 and would choose the number 7 at press and practice depending on who impressed most on the day. out of the 5 who were present there seemed to be 3 different variations of race suit Boughens was a lot darker blue than the rest and Harris and cooks suit used different blues compared to klint and iversen. Phil Morris is trying to get the sport to look and be more professional. He must be in despair.
