Or to paraphrase... It is all Mickey Mouse Bollox in the UK, but we still do our very best to pretend it means something... When are they going to at least try to make what they present have some credibility? Before it is too late ..7 points

Totally agree and I just wish that the wider public could see the sport is this light with split second decisions on powerful machines with no brakes. It takes skill and not many sports can match it. Today in Poland you have seen riders crash at high speed and get up and back on the bike in the rerun. Either they are mad or calculated risk takers, whichever, I appreciate the effort and you can ask for no more.3 points

Should be a real test against Kurtz and bewley at BV, nobody rides that place like they do3 points

Zmarzlik’s ability to read situations and react quickly is a cut above anybody else in world speedway3 points

I think you might have your work cut out there! If Becker isn’t fit to take his place tomorrow, it is possible that Danny King could guest for the Lions (think they might go with R/R though). If King did guest, you would have to tell your mates that King and Brennan actually ride for the same team (Ipswich) but neither of them are riding for their own team and will be riding against each other😂. If that doesn’t put them off and they want to attend further meetings, you should become a promoter!3 points

Meeting in Germany starts at 1pm GMT so should be done by 3pm. I'm sure arrangements could be made to get to Leicester by 7.30pm.3 points

Good entertaining meeting, Toruń deserved winners, it’s never a good look moaning about another rider when you have been owned numerous times on your own track2 points

Think Bartosz played it safe and got off, don’t think he would have complained if he had been excluded. There was some brilliant moves by class riders in that meeting.Bartosz is a class above though.2 points

Very different league that season though, several bigger names ride over here now.2 points

Don't think he would want to ride that rough Ipswich track anyway, he prefers the silky smooth Owlerton circuit.2 points

Don't say anything, if they are new to Speedway they'll just assume Brennan is a Sheffield rider.2 points

Nope. Straight back to the pits too. He didn’t even acknowledge the Poole fans standing beside the pit gate who, fair play to them, were passionate all night.2 points

Ridiculous that Riss and Mulford are missing this match,to ride in Germany on Monday!!I stopped going to speedway last year after 50 years, came back this year, tried to give it another shot, what’s the point? No meetings for 2/3 weeks, then when there is half the team missing. The sport is a joke.2 points

They need to fill him up with water during the afternoon then.... To be fair, comparing anything UK Speedway presents against what Poland delivers is not a fair comparison... I switched off last night, like I usually do most UK meetings, around heat five or six.. After watching weekends of Polish Speedway and the GP's, and the level of intensity these meetings are raced at, plus the crowd engagement in the events, it is difficult to summon up the same level of enthusiasm when watching on a Monday evening.. Even more so when you see opposition managers and riders stood alongside each other watching the generally poor racing, laughing and joking together in the pits...2 points

I know, I don’t think any of them are right for doing so. Holder bailed on Sheffield one time before when he was “injured” but then proceeded to ride in the SGP. Fans must really love him to stay behind him.1 point

He is thinking about World Championship. He did play it safe IMO and laid it down ,it’s not his fault the Ref saw it differently.Like I said don’t think he would have complained if excluded ,him and Emil seemed Ok about it.1 point

As a neutral looking forward to watching it on BSN hoping for a safe and close match1 point

I totally understand that, mind you if Kvech got injured in heat 2 without using r/r Lynn would still be up against it. Ignoring the possibility of injuries, I'd say they're stronger using r/r, but using a guest will help if anything went wrong for any other rider for sure.1 point

Also, for further information. Kowalski & magic received red cards, this means a £1000 (5k zloty) fine. Bangs received yellow card for the crash, this means a £500 (2.5k zloty) fine.1 point

Just imagine if the Ekstraliga did have a guest system which saw riders ride for rival clubs. The fans would cause a riot lol.1 point

My personal opinion is that GP riders shouldn't be riding in qualifiers. You either finish top 7 or qualify via the challenge.Or get a wildcard if you were unlucky through injury. Also no wildcard selection two years on the trot It might mean you don't get the 15 best riders n the World in the GP, but when has that ever happened ?1 point

If that option comes down to extra cost for clubs then you might be surprised at how many opt for a new stronger NL?!1 point

The very first meeting i ever attended (incidentally was at Arena-Essex where Marko and I both used to attend as fans in fact we met a few times) it was a 39-38 win last hear decider. As a 12 year old it kept my interest as the scoreline was close and the result of the meeting was in doubt. When I decided to by the DVD of the meeting many years later (purely for nostalgia) it came across quite badly on video - not much passing mistakes usually leading to passing rather than great racing. I still maintain that speedway doesn't usually come over that well on TV as often the production is so poorly done. At least helmet cam seems to have been binned this season. There is that balance between rip roaring racing where there is passing or close racing in each race - however as we have seen at the NSS that can sometimes lead to a hefty home win if it's the home riders doing all the passing. As a neutral watching on TV I don't find that all so entertaining but it sure will keep the home fans happy. Last night I quite enjoyed the match as there were / was passing manouvres in a fair few races (usually involving Dan Bewley) and the scoreline being close throughout kept my interest in the meeting. Each to their own as they say but i rather watch the Monday match from Birmingham over say BV thrashing Oxford at the NSS 65-25 every time even if Brady and Bewley was passing all and sundry each race. You have to remember / assume that the die hards are already at the match so its the others / nuetrals watching on TV you have to convert and how you do that is well anyones guess as we all seek different things from sports. I was of a similar view on the Champions League final at 3-0 to PSG it was evident despite their great football the match was over as a contest and I switched off.1 point

Well done Brummies thought it was a decent meeting. I thought Zagar was excellent and Jason Edwards carrying his Redcar form on too. Not sure where the blame falls between the rider/club both Belle Vue and Brady Kurtz market themselves as professional and last night they both went down in my estimation. Maybe I should taper my expectations but telling supporters an hour before really isn't good enough.1 point

In your opinion as a keyboard warrior! I was there and I enjoyed watching the live meeting.1 point

Looking at the drone shots of the stadium/track - a beautiful sight - and it makes me so angry that it will all be destroyed for housing when them frickin' flats/apartments in the background are sitting empty.1 point

The sport is serious decline in UK.Dont know the answer though.Strange decisions seem to being made in the eyes of many supporters, but at the end of the day the Promotions are the ones with the money invested.Sporadic fixture list will kill off the sport.1 point
