I’m not discussing his body image.I’m sure he is “as fit as a flea” I was commenting on his height and build ,that is no way body shaming. You as speedway supporter have obviously heard the discussion with Woffy and Doyle regarding natural size and build of riders that they consider that might a disadvantage these day given the Technical Advances in the sport. Please don’t make things up just because you have a different opinion of my post.4 points

... and then the illusion that these matches matter is shattered by Tom Brennan saying he didn't even know he was riding in a cup final until he arrived at the stadium... FFS!3 points

That must be to pay for the new multi million pound British Speedway tv contract!3 points

The problems usually mainly arise with rearranged rain offs etc. A massive amount of work has gone on between GB and Poland to try and coordinate things as much as possible so there are few clashes. Indeed Poland have had to cancel fixtures this week to allow for the Premiership KO Cup final on Thursday, so it does work both ways but nobody ever mentions that...3 points

I think you're reading too much into it, it's clear that it's just another payday for him2 points

Slightly frustrating as a witches fan that Brennan rode so sh!t in the semi-final that Lynn got to the final then he rides amazing for Leicester and could win a trophy.2 points

I think it would make a massive difference. And for the better. I was a regular at lynn from 91-95 and the racing was always fantastic. But those were the days of loram Gustafson and Bobby ott2 points

Came for the last time, Aces win to be expected, dreadful racing.2 points

Kerr so soft on Howarth down the back straight there, if it was the other way round Kerr would’ve had to have shut off or he’d of been in with the crowd.2 points

Klindt far too soft on Fricke there, should have squeezed him right up and got Kvech through too. Leicester have been much more ruthless when needed.2 points

Big queue out to the road this evening (probably 200m). Delayed parade again. And, unfortunately, no online advance tickets.2 points

Oxford are an utter joke this year with Gusts and Knudsen. Ripping their own and others fans off all year with their select sides.2 points

No need for speculation if Scunthorpe want Luke back next season he will be there agree though that at some point he will have to go elsewhere2 points

The eight year old lad (forgotten his name) who was doing laps between the junior races looked better every time he came out. On his last set, he was attacking the corners as well as some of those in the junior races. Looked impressive for an 8 year old.2 points

The fact that people would readily believe it's true, shows the faith they have in Schroeck's management. If I had read that about Middlo or Pete Adams, I'd automatically think "it's a joke" so someone got the wrong end of the stick. I found this very easy to believe, based on the many daft decisions Schroeck's made over the last couple of years.2 points

It does take me ages to get away from OT... I have wrote to Sir Jim Ratcliffe and said that 70,000 every game is simply too much... And had he thought of reducing it to around 40,000 so I could get home quicker. . He didn't even answer my letter .. In fact, I have seen plans for a 100,000 seater stadium being built... They just don't listen do they?2 points

Ipswich tend to sign riders with ability but much more importantly have the right attitude and professionalism. jason has all of those in abundance.2 points

And to Ipswich's credit they snapped him up, one of the best reserves now. I like Jason Edwards talks a lot of sense.2 points

For someone who knows his facts, you don’t know how to spell. It’s Wizz Air, and Speedway would be at a complete standstill without it. Riders fly between Sweden, Poland, and the UK using Wizz Air and Ryanair.1 point

Noticed again tonight Klindt not ready to race on more than one occasion when the clock hits 00:00, what’s the point of the 2 minute clock if the referee doesn’t use it?1 point

A lot of riders do look a lot larger than they are due to all the body armour they wear, it was just surprising to see the growth spurt Cairns had done since I saw him last season. Speedway is generally a small man's game and you just don't know what kind of a man some of these kids will grow into, maybe that's a reason why not many 250cc champs make the grade at 500cc when they grow into men... I think it's a fair discussion to have.1 point

I asked “how to boost u k speedway attendances”…. To boost UK speedway attendances, several key areas need attention: improving the quality of racing, enhancing the fan experience, and increasing promotion and media coverage. Specifically, this includes focusing on track quality, attracting top riders, streamlining league structures, and implementing a more effective marketing strategy. Here's a more detailed breakdown: 1. Improve the Product: Track Quality: A well-prepared track with multiple racing lines is crucial for exciting racing and attracting fans. Rider Quality: Attracting top-tier riders, potentially by restricting Premiership riders from doubling up in the Championship, can improve the overall quality of racing. League Structure: Consider adjustments to league structures and team compositions to ensure competitive racing and minimize uncertainty for teams. Event Presentation: Ensure events are well-organized, with efficient operation and a positive atmosphere for fans. 2. Enhance the Fan Experience: Stadium Atmosphere: Create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere at the stadium, including concessions, entertainment, and comfortable seating. Family-Friendly Options: Offer activities and promotions that appeal to families and younger audiences to broaden the fan base. Accessibility: Ensure easy access to the stadium and affordable ticket prices to make speedway accessible to a wider audience. 3. Increase Promotion and Media Coverage: National Advertising Campaign: Implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness of speedway and attract new fans. Digital Presence: Utilize social media and online platforms to engage with fans, share highlights, and promote upcoming events. Media Partnerships: Seek opportunities to partner with media outlets, including television and streaming services, to increase visibility and reach a wider audience. 4. Address Financial Sustainability: Sponsorship: Seek out commercial sponsorship deals to provide vital revenue for improving facilities and promoting the sport. Cost-Effectiveness: Explore ways to operate more efficiently and manage costs effectively to ensure the long-term sustainability of teams and leagues. By addressing these areas, UK speedway can work towards reversing the decline in attendances and securing a more sustainable future for the sport.1 point

But he top scored for his Polish club today, it's strange that he's received a ban but Nicolai Klindt, who isn't injured, hasn't 🫤1 point

Yet another meeting goes by with a depleted team, what a waste of a potentially good season. More great team management, everyone bar your number 1 can take a rr ride but you give 2 rides to your 2.35 average number 8. Ritchings is a value option on his average but come on. Classic today at the Chargers meeting, who needed a guest in the team. Freddie Hodder being interviewed said that Schrocker called him up to guest, only to be informed by Hodder himself that he actually rides for the opposition so would be unable to take the booking 🤣1 point

I do think Scunthorpe need to keep hold of Harrison but is staying at Scunthorpe good for Harrison? It maybe beneficial for Harrison's career to have a year or two away from Scunthorpe and learn a different track by riding it week in week out. I don't think a rider staying too long at the same track is any good for them as they become one track Ponies like Lambert (could argue he's a no track pony atm).1 point
