I’m not discussing his body image.I’m sure he is “as fit as a flea” I was commenting on his height and build ,that is no way body shaming. You as speedway supporter have obviously heard the discussion with Woffy and Doyle regarding natural size and build of riders that they consider that might a disadvantage these day given the Technical Advances in the sport. Please don’t make things up just because you have a different opinion of my post.4 points

... and then the illusion that these matches matter is shattered by Tom Brennan saying he didn't even know he was riding in a cup final until he arrived at the stadium... FFS!3 points

There will be far too many passes too... It will get boring after the first ten or so...3 points

That must be to pay for the new multi million pound British Speedway tv contract!3 points

The problems usually mainly arise with rearranged rain offs etc. A massive amount of work has gone on between GB and Poland to try and coordinate things as much as possible so there are few clashes. Indeed Poland have had to cancel fixtures this week to allow for the Premiership KO Cup final on Thursday, so it does work both ways but nobody ever mentions that...3 points

You want to be running R/R for the season then... good luck with that 👍🏻3 points

The words Birmingham and Full Strength don't really go together though do they...3 points

I have no desire to see him in the UK again3 points

I think you're reading too much into it, it's clear that it's just another payday for him2 points

Slightly frustrating as a witches fan that Brennan rode so sh!t in the semi-final that Lynn got to the final then he rides amazing for Leicester and could win a trophy.2 points

I think it would make a massive difference. And for the better. I was a regular at lynn from 91-95 and the racing was always fantastic. But those were the days of loram Gustafson and Bobby ott2 points

Came for the last time, Aces win to be expected, dreadful racing.2 points

Kerr so soft on Howarth down the back straight there, if it was the other way round Kerr would’ve had to have shut off or he’d of been in with the crowd.2 points

Klindt far too soft on Fricke there, should have squeezed him right up and got Kvech through too. Leicester have been much more ruthless when needed.2 points

Big queue out to the road this evening (probably 200m). Delayed parade again. And, unfortunately, no online advance tickets.2 points

Oxford are an utter joke this year with Gusts and Knudsen. Ripping their own and others fans off all year with their select sides.2 points

No need for speculation if Scunthorpe want Luke back next season he will be there agree though that at some point he will have to go elsewhere2 points

The eight year old lad (forgotten his name) who was doing laps between the junior races looked better every time he came out. On his last set, he was attacking the corners as well as some of those in the junior races. Looked impressive for an 8 year old.2 points

The fact that people would readily believe it's true, shows the faith they have in Schroeck's management. If I had read that about Middlo or Pete Adams, I'd automatically think "it's a joke" so someone got the wrong end of the stick. I found this very easy to believe, based on the many daft decisions Schroeck's made over the last couple of years.2 points

Good to see a decent crowd turn out .Thought it was an entertaining meeting.2 points

I do. If Poole moved up he would be first name on teamsheet every time.2 points

It's shocking really for someone with his track record of success...2 points

It does take me ages to get away from OT... I have wrote to Sir Jim Ratcliffe and said that 70,000 every game is simply too much... And had he thought of reducing it to around 40,000 so I could get home quicker. . He didn't even answer my letter .. In fact, I have seen plans for a 100,000 seater stadium being built... They just don't listen do they?2 points

Ipswich tend to sign riders with ability but much more importantly have the right attitude and professionalism. jason has all of those in abundance.2 points

And to Ipswich's credit they snapped him up, one of the best reserves now. I like Jason Edwards talks a lot of sense.2 points

Went for the last visit to Perry Bar, Aces won at a Canter, but the track was awful, does Speedway no favours.1 point

Whilst I agree Knudsen has missed more Wednesday nights for Oxford than he has ridden I'd have to say the age difference between him & Thomson would possibly suggest Knudsen is still unable to miss his national league fixtures. With Gusts his situation is slightly complex as he was in Oxfords Premiership squad racing on Thursday night & then was dropped to the Championship side but he had already commited to race on Wednesdays for a Danish club so where a clash occurs the Danes have priority. I see it's a bit messy & agree that the fans are not seeing their riders each week but at least we are all getting to see speedway racing win loose or draw.1 point

He is injured though. It's not like he cba. Every podcast i listen to they say he is having physio between races. I bet if the track was Worky or BV he'd be riding.1 point

Nothing personal but a team in the DEVELOPMENT league running R/R for a retired rider isn’t right.1 point

He's made himself a decent career for a rider who has a very awkward style. Loyal and always 110% effort But he must be coming towards the end..1 point

Ben certainly did well on a rough, patchy track. However, wouldn't it be better to prepare a good racing surface and allow your riders to show off their skills? Look at Kemp, Jeppesen and Smith at Glasgow on Friday they were very competitive compared to Saturday night where they appeared to be a bit tentative.1 point

The mental strength of these riders is incredible, another example is Chris Holder not the rider he was but still a very good rider after a terrible crash that put him in a wheel chair for months and seeing what happened to his best friend, incredible grit.1 point

The Jason Edwards situation is explained in great detail for around 10 mins by Jason Edwards himself on the latest No Brakes No Fear podcast, around 20 mins in. you can find it here. https://pod.fo/e/3008241 point

Ben Barker’s a top man. He’s the sort of character you need in the pits with a proper selfless mentality. I find his interviews on BSN so insightful. At the CLRC, he was telling the cameras how he had no track intel because he was the only Plymouth rider there, so the only rider without teammate to share track tips with. He guested for us in the home defeat to Poole earlier in the season and gave it 100%; something you seldom see in a guest.1 point

The people who are running the GB Speedway Team seem to have zero interest in staging any test matches in the UK, they do seem quite happy to deplete the domestic clubs of riders to put in mediocre performances abroad throughout the season though.1 point

MISCELLANEOUS SCB STATEMENT: BEN COOK TUESDAY, JULY 15, 2025 King’s Lynn Rider Ben Cook who has been competing for Leszno in the Polish League has reported that although he is able to compete in the Polish League he is not fit enough to compete for his British Club, therefore the Speedway Control Bureau have no option than to suspend his SCB Registration for a period of 28 days for breaching SCB Regulation 010.5 j). During this period Kings Lynn will be granted a facility for Mr Cook’s absence. Seems to be a regular occurrence. This behaviour has got to be rectified in the closed season for 2026.1 point
