  1. Unbelievable, blatantly cheating, complete stupidity, very dangerous and Poole fans cheering him, bspl need to step in and fine Poole and give Oxford the points. Poole win at all cost mentality over stepping the mark at every level. All the evidence is there to see.

  2. Absolutely not! Regardless of the calendar, and prevailing weather, tracks are NOT expected to be dusty! As one who attends several tracks fairly regularly, I can say with some certainty there are those where dust can be practically guaranteed, and others where it is never, ever, a problem. Dust at speedway is a result of inadequate preparation, not from any great expectations.

  3. Well done to Leicester, they were by far the better team across the two legs. But what an awful, dreadful speedway track that is. I wouldn't open my curtains if it was in my back garden. And the referee wants striking off for the heat 6 decision.

  4. Sorry but Klindt ran out of room there, nothing to do with Fricke.

  5. That is a joke of a decision, at worst all 4 back but fricke made sure Klindt wasn’t getting round that corner

  6. I was probably very lucky to watch speedway at Hyde Rd with the great racers around in the 70’s. We’d travel to Halifax & Sheffield and they provided great racing to. I remember around ‘76 we went to Coventry for the first time and PC missed the start (as always) and didn’t win. I asked Dad “what’s up with Peter” and he explained about gaters paradise type tracks. They were in the minority back then. It’s my opinion that the Scandinavians preferred gate’n’go tracks and these then became more common over the years. More recently (if 20 years can be considered recent) Poole, Wolves & Coventry made gate’n’go their thing and with trophies following it became an option for others to follow. Add in air fences and new bikes and the trend has now taken hold. I think even with those issues tracks could still be better for racing if prepped differently. Kings Lynn have a very grippy surface and like the WC semi in 2016 when the FIM brigade prepared a grippy NSS, the racing was dull but fast. NKI setting a new track record. Slicken off Saddlebow Road and I believe the racing would improve. Wolves were just short of an outside line and it was specifically made that way when the result mattered. The Olympic was great and a dead rubber meeting in the supporters cup (which we lost) was a great spectacle. I’m sure fans at other tracks could offer up ideas to improve things though unfortunately the cost might be prohibitive. I understand why fans would look to sugar the pill when describing the entertainment at their tracks but maybe behind the scenes you need to do more with regards questioning your promotions lack of interest in providing a racetrack. Maybe then this customer will return and who knows I might bring a coach load with me again.

  7. Don't worry, one Ipswich rider at least will get some silverware this season 😁

  9. Probably moan and feel aggrieved but they wouldn't be asking fof a re run of the meeting or the points given to them. We all saw it, it shouldn't have happened but it is just the breaks, you take it on the chin and move on.

  10. Comments like yours sums up how pathetic some people are. Just can't stop sticking the knife into Poole. Yes we were lucky to get another chance in heat 15 and yes Oxford may well feel aggrieved. But to say the points should be given to Oxford or the meeting rerun. Ffs. God help us.

  11. Meeting should either be declared void and rerun, with Poole paying all riders and management travel and points money. Or all points awarded to Oxford At the end of the day the SCB or BSPL need to act. More than one match official breached the regulations, there's enough video, photo, written and word of mouth evidence, that if the HSE saw it and decided to get involved, you wouldn't want to be stood by the fan.

  12. A family of four were sitting next to us and had never been to speedway before. They have lived in the local area all their lives. Came last night on a whim. We explained the rules and what was going on. The lady was completely enthralled and scared as she thought they would crash at any moment. At the end we said goodbye and they said they would be back next week. Perhaps we have picked up four new fans. Goes to show incidents like faulty tapes or track issues have zero impact on many fans.

  13. Irrelevant what their reserves scored …. Missing a heat leader who was replaced by another sides number 7 is it that hard to see why they were weaker? So if next week Lewis Kerr is out and you replace him with Jack Smith or Ace Pijper you won’t be weaker then

  16. Race of the night well done bomber keeping them just in it

  17. Contact is irrelevant when the a rider looks at you twice and runs you out of room. Contact is not required to be excluded for dangerous riding.

  19. Can’t help but think Klindt picked 2 and 4 in heat 1 so he himself got gate 1 in heat 2 rather than what was the best pick for the team

  22. A bruising night for the KL riders. By my count five riders hit the deck. Gave it a good go but not enough.

  23. You and me both - I seem to see a lot of the Leicester streams and I largely enjoy them - it’s also a much bigger crowd than you normally see too so for the Lions it’s all good! Let them enjoy the moment

  28. The start marshal should also be aware of the rules, as they’re bound by them. If they were asked to do something that clearly wasn’t safe, they should have refused.

  29. Oxford on a 5-1 race stopped. Poole on a 5-1 and the marshal nearly drops a boll11ok, trying to dangerously keep the race going. Someone needs to be fined..

  31. It's quite shocking to see that picture and know that heat 15 was completed especially in light of the incident with Craig Cook at Edinburgh with the photographer, where the police even got involved, what the referee was thinking in allowing that to happen is quite staggering! SCB Reg: 05.1.3 Neutral Zone Outside the safety fence a Neutral Zone, as designated on the Homologation Certificate is required, to which there must be no access.

  33. Yes stated on updates, probably staying in ballie house while down south ☺️

  34. The ref should be accountable for the start marshals actions. Perhaps the start marshal was instructed by the ref, he is in direct contact with him, we will probably never know

  35. Matt Ford knows a thing or two about speedway, I expect he has picked up a lot of information along the way including a little bit about set ups.

  36. Crazy that some people are moaning about Will Cairns. I'm sure some of it is down to the old Poole jealously factor, but in reality he has a great future. I've seen enough of him riding to know that he has plenty of potential, but give him time (which I also hope he does himself - unlike Ashton Boughen). He's 16 years old, so is always going to be a bit up and down. And don't forget he was up against arguably the strongest reserve pairing in the league in Luke Killeen and Francis Gusts - two riders who started the season in the league above.

  37. I think many of them will return, it was a good meeting with some good racing and passing, yes a bit dusty at times but that is expected at this time of year.

  38. Statistically Poole's reserves are better than Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Plymouth & Redcar's. No surprise Oxford's reserves heavily outscored them, they look a fair bit better (on paper). Workington gaining a bonus point, Oxford doing the same in the BSN series & Oxford having the potential to do the same in the league, won't hurt Pirates play-off chances if they don't make the top 4, which doesn't look likely. Poole haven't lost to anyone else on aggregate. While Poole are not as dominant as they have been in recent years, they are still the team to beat imo.

  39. How many years experience does Luke Killeen have in the championship now? And Francis Gusts has represented his country in the speedway of nations against the best riders in the world on more than one occasion I believe!!!! And you’re having a pop at a young British rider with less than ONE MONTHS experience of championship racing 😡😡…Very sad!! No wonder some of these promising young riders give up with supposed fans like you about!!!!!!!!

  40. Felt a tad ashamed of being a Poole supporter tonight. We had such a superb crowd, just over 2,100 according the numbers given to the stewards. But my word, if I was some of them I wouldn’t come back. That track was awful. The dust from heat number one should’ve been a good sign to water it more but it took until half way through the meeting for someone to effectively p**s on it. And it did absolutely nothing too it. never mind the whole starting gate stuff as well. Not a good look tonight One positive, the addition of Lee from PirateCast to the announcing team this season is such a good move

  41. The team is built to have a strong reserve my a*se 😂, sorry but that is not what how it was planned! Let’s face it, they could not attract good enough riders to provide a decent heat leader spearhead. Lynn have a team of six pointers on a merry-go-round who take it in turns to be at reserve, number one and all positions in between. Based on your wording, they started with a six pointer at reserve and then picked five others above this average to build a team. Having a reserve that you can look to for additional rides is a reflection on how poorly the riders in the main body of the team are performing. That’s okay on the night, but to see it as a tactical option on a regular basis just shows that, yes, it is actually desperation! Okay, put my opinion to one side and look at where Lynn will finish in a league of seven teams.

  42. As you can see AceBelle has laughed at you which shows the kind of people you are dealing with … basically they will never understand …. They just see their big fast track and that to them is speedway I watched Bewley at Foxhall last season line up and pass Emil then a lap later the same to Ellis … fantastic skillful riding showing that he is supremely talented What these Belle Vue fans don’t understand is that we are all saying it’s the best racetrack in the country by some way ….. but they are totally blinkered to the fact other tracks that aren’t as fast produce good racing as well What’s more entertaining….. a rider taking 4 laps to pass one or two opposing riders by using track craft and going inside and out ….. or just blasting round the boards or cutting back making a long straight …. Not much in it I would say Watch Mark Loram 1999 Swedish Grand Prix on a big track using all manner of lines …. Then watch him at Wolves using all manner of lines to spilt the Karlsson brothers….. 2 totally different tracks but the skill set of the rider makes both compelling viewing To many riders today are simply throttle jockeys who can’t handle different tracks and that’s not a dig at Belle Vue riders that’s around the world … I’m not sure how Zmarzlik or even Kurtz would cope at Eastbourne …. Bewley i feel is more adaptable ….. Bewley has said to me personally he loves riding at Ipswich

  46. All these posts are hanging on Klindt getting seven rides, which smacks of desperation on Lynn’s part. He could quite possibly rack up 20 points but the Stars will still fall short. How often do teams win a two legged final without winning at home?
    1 point
  47. But that's the point and what separates the really great riders from the fast but not so great. It's not impossible to pass but takes great skill and effort, not just make the bike faster.
