With how Thomsen has stepped it up this year Edinburgh are just a Rushden or Scott away at reserve from having a really good side even allowing for Sedgeman being the Aussie version of Klindt.5 points

... oh and Kyle Howarth who got home 15 minutes earlier đ5 points

The GP points system is a farce especially when Dan bewley scores 15 points in the heats, only to come 2nd at the end5 points

I prefer PUMPED. Also thanks to Leon and Sam for their efforts last night in knocking their own team out the cup. đ4 points

Itâs ÂŁ1 more than the Monarchs charge, and the same price Berwick and Poole charge. Yes, last week was a trial, and thatâs why it was cheaper. This is the normal price.4 points

yes, and it was even worse for Brady Kurtz, the last place in the LCQ ruined his results completety. I am convinced that the riders do no longer give it all during the heat races, since those points scored do not count for the World championship anyway now. The old system when every point won on the track actually counted was much better. Zmarzlik just took it easy last night. He took no unneccessary risks, won only one race, but still ended up on the rostrum in the end, right behind Bewley, who rode so much better and had won all five of his heats. I just don't think this system is fair.4 points

The second half of this SGP wasn't too bad, but the first half was a strain with the track resembling a swamp. It is not the first time Phil Morris has set a track under water. Why again and again?4 points

It wasnât an engine problem in Heat 3 he got elbowed by Sedgmen on his handlebars3 points

Where was KJP bike failure today ? His 1st heat ,heat 3 Sedgeman clipped KJP's handle bar with his elbow hence the awkward line into the 1st bend.3 points

Thatâs Speedwayđ¤đđ.Really doesnât who wins what. All the riders care about is extra meetings and money.3 points

What an absolute shambles by the Tigers, Not one rider managed to gate on our Home Track, sorry to say HAUSL must go, He is not up to speed in this Division,What excuses is Cami ''Useless'' Brown coming out with this time. Out of the BSN Series and KO Cup before the League starts.3 points
-
Fair play too Edinburgh well deserved win today and being honest it has been coming with the inconsistency in this team. if you are being out gated all afternoon this is what the outcome is. On a side note there canât be any other team in both leagues that have as many mechanical issues than us very frustrating. but well done Edinburgh best team today by a distance.3 points

Suppose the BSN Trophy is not worth winning either just like the KO Cup.3 points

They should stick with the local track curator who surely knows the circuit the best3 points
-
Riders should carry their points from the first 5 heats with the meeting finalists getting extra points. Bewley got no reward for his final race last to first. One of the few entertaining moments3 points

Let's be fair... There isn't any real rewards for winning any UK Competition, therefore promoters see their role as just putting out a Speedway meeting.... There are only three boxes that UK Speedway feel need ticking... Riders getting the chance to earn money... Fans getting to see Speedway racing... Promoters, Referees, and the Track Volunteers, all getting to enjoy their main hobby... To measure UK Speedway against other "professional" team sports is pretty much like measuring chalk to cheese.. The irony, of course, is that the money needed to be brought in to the sport to make it "relevant" and to give it some "prestige" will never happen, as no major brands would ever associate themselves with UK Speedway given the "erratic" way it is ran, hence Competition Sponsors are usually always "in-house" and connected to the sport in some way.. What we have, is pretty much all there is, which, let's be brutally honest, isn't going to last too much longer when all the "veteran" Double Uppers start to wain or retire... (And should Poland make riders pick only one league extra to ride in, it could bring the end quicker)... Ironically, when these things happen, it actually may mean those who run the UK version of the sport do eventually, through necessity, realise that "something new" just could be required.. Edit. I will add a fourth box to be ticked.. Winning at home, with winning away not a priority box to be ticked, as it can cost too much...3 points

Lodz changed their mind, Howarth changed his mind it's a bit of an omnishambles the only winners in this are Berwick DT lost he chose to travel to Poland for no Speedway Edinburgh lost, literally at Berwick DT's team mates lost, unlikely to progress in the BSN series, therefore the rest of the team miss 2 extra pay days The fans lost, seeing a competitive Speedway match. Even Lodz could only muster a draw, maybe if they had used DT they could have scraped a win. The guest facility is being totally abused now, as far as I know it only used to be available for injuries or official international duties... now it's a free for all, rider choosing to travel elsewhere, guest, rider going on holiday during the season for a week, guest...3 points

Workington and Berwick are in different groups so haven't met in the BSN trophy. They met in the KOC and Workington would have still been eliminated even if Craig wasn't excluded. We will just forget the fact Berwick number 1 was wiped out in heat 1 meaning they also raced at Edinburgh without a number 1.2 points

I'd go back to the original system from 1995 onwards....A,B,C, & D finals with points awarded accordingly.2 points

It wasn't as entertaining as usual today. Track was too dry and too dusty, but there was no sign of a water tanker coming out. Given that the Tigers couldn't gate properly at all today, not giving them a decent track to race on means Tigers have only themselves to blame. Poor performance all round from the team today. On that performance Tigers deserved to get put out.2 points

100% but neirher carr or frede would whine if done to them, howarth cant hack it when done to him. surprised but would like to know where this kye has been hiding for 4 years age catching up with harris?2 points

I think Emma Jones made a very good start. Never a fan of Abi and very surprised about how many people seem to have liked her, now she's gone. I got into the habit of muting her content.2 points

Biggest issue is he canât gate, no good being as quick as the rest when youâre 10 yards behind going into the first bend.2 points

This is what Patryk Dudek told the Polish media (Sportowe Fakty) after yesterday's SGP in Landshut: âWe spoke to Phil Morris before the race to make sure he was careful with the watering and that we didnât use too much water. The track is loose, and the organizers had added extra surface material. It was a complete disaster. We fought throughout the entire race to get Phil to stop watering. When he finally did, the track was safer, and the final races were actually entertaining. We just point out problems, but we canât change them,â Patryk Dudek continued. No wonder Patryk Dudek was so upset. The competition was truly dangerous. Our representative suggested that the speedway riders lacked influence and that perhaps the fans should take matters into their own hands. âItâs not about breaking bones. When we talk to Phil Morris during a race, he expects respect. Of course, we swear because weâre pumped with adrenaline. Maybe the fans have the necessary influence,â Dudek said.2 points

What rules did he break? he broke a gentlemanâs agreement. Itâs not cricket but also not illegal. From a Glasgow (and general speedway) perspective, Iâd rather he wasnât involved in any Edinburgh matches. Imagine rocking up to Ashfield today explaining to someone that one of our riders helped our rivals last night. I know it has happened many times but the rider is wide open to abuse (dammed if he scores well, accused of not trying if he doesnât). if I was in his position and had a choice to ride at Workington rather than Berwick I know what I would choose.2 points

The council have announced a celebration parade across the town for Tomorrow to celebrate promotion back to the Premier League, followed by a celebration event in Christchurch Park that players will be attending. This will undoubtedly hit attendance figures at Foxhall and will also make travelling difficult for certain people depending where youâre travelling from. Itâs a shame for Mayfield as theyâd have been hoping for a bumper Bank Holiday pay day so itâs pretty poor from the Council. Why couldnât they have arranged this for next Sunday? Thereâll be an awful lot of people who would have liked to have attended both.2 points

Bewley has had three fantastic races. Means diddly squat under this pathetic scoring system. Someone could make the final on a lot less than what Dan has already. Still, it's important for the sport to show itself for what it is đ¤Łđ¤Ł2 points

Totally agree with Ian here, while the SCB can't force Howarth to ride, if he previously agreed to ride for Edinburgh then changed his mind for another team, I think it's only fair for them to block the 2nd booking.1 point
