Has the hot weather taken out the internet on the South Coast?6 points

Cracking result that for the Bandits despite Poole being up to their usual tricks with Bowes. Also credit to the referee for not being influenced by Middlo and the crowd in heat 14 and making the correct decision. All to play for on Saturday5 points

20 point win they say. Not on Mr Dicksons watch. What a performance. Gonna be a cracker Saturday. If travelling to Berwick please be aware it’s summer time up here as well .5 points

Would have thought climate change is obvious to all but perhaps not.5 points

Richard and Andrew are top guys. Speaking and listening to them and actually seeing they share similar concerns is such a positive thing to see, and that they understand the situation WE are in. And I say we because everyone on this forum is a speedway fan and this isn’t just a one up on other British teams, it’s a chance for us to pull this sport in the right direction. Let’s face it, people would be moaning if the same old same old was happening, it needs a change and these guys can actually do something about it. They can sit at a table and people can take note, they run a multimillion pound successful business in other sports, let them do their thing, give them time, and let’s hold our judgement until a few years time. British speedway in general should be happy this sort of stuff is taking place, and Ipswich fans shouldn’t be gloating about anything, we as fans should support other clubs too and try and really build this sport. OK maybe we won’t support kings Lynn but still 😉 I also like that they see a clear vision on what needs to happen, not just saying what people want to hear but speak clearly on what they plan to do. PS Mr Coleman if you read this one, good luck 🤞🏻 we have a real good captain at the helm it appears!4 points

Sounds like a good idea on the face of it. Poland/Ekstraliga do very little wrong and a hell of a lot right, so why not learn from them? Fair play to Coleman/Ipswich for trying. I've wondered for years if there could be some sort of feeder system between British and Polish clubs. Polish clubs could send youngsters, and maybe even the odd top rider here, British clubs could push their best youngsters towards the Polish club. Who knows, we might even get away from riders being attached to multiple clubs/countries one day.4 points

I think the elderly will shrug their shoulders and say its Summer and they remember 1976!4 points

Today’s forecast gives 32C at 8pm. With the sun shining directly into the main stand I think the club should consider a postponement. There are a lot of elderly people sitting in the stand who might end up in difficulty. A lot of fans will not come due to the heat anyway. A bit of common sense is needed here. If the meeting is to go ahead I suggest everyone brings at least a litre of water with them. Global warming for all to see.4 points

This. Is. Huge. It will benefit not only Ipswich but British Speedway as a whole. There is no way Wroclaw would get involved without looking to the future and improving the product here. And it wouldn’t surprise me to see this as a model going forward for other clubs. Could even encourage a couple of Championship teams (we all know who) to come up to the Premiership if investment is forthcoming from potential tie-ups. Coleman wants to improve the sport in this country and this is just the start. There’ll be a few people within the sport who are set in their ways and want to continue along the current ‘tried and tested’ route who won’t be looking favourably at this and will be glancing over their shoulders. Change is coming. And for the better.3 points

Ipswich fans creaming themselves with this tonight, best might end up with is Janowski at number 13 points

SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder R/R, Anders Rowe, Chris Holder, Leon Flint, Josh Pickering, Jye Etheridge, Luke Killeen. LEICESTER: Ryan Douglas, Drew Kemp, Nick Morris, Dan Thompson R/R, Sam Masters, Kyle Howarth, Joe Thompson. DT confirmed as giving the Lions a miss! As will I 👎🏻 What a tin pot sport it has become in this country, I'll save myself a packet and catch some z's watching Ippo on BSN 😴3 points

They are, but you know as well as I do that there are certain people on here (we all know who they are) who will do their very best to turn ANY positive in to some sort of negative. I’ll give it five minutes after the announcement before the first “is that it!!??” Comment appears on here 🙄3 points

I think the announcement is that tomorrow night's meeting has been postponed in case it rains.3 points

I've said it many times & I'll say it again. Jonathan Chapman is the biggest miss to this club & British Speedway overall. I'm absolutely convinced we'd of had a top flight title with him by now.3 points

King's Lynn running with 3 Rising Stars then. Even though it sounds ridiculous, it's better than Castagna.3 points

A Danish rider missing for a Danish league match, doesn't bother me so much, but a British riders who's home track is a Wednesday missing a match seems very wrong!3 points

Well done to Berwick, fought hard and came away with only 4 points to claw back makes the leg on the edge and I can’t call it. Think Berwick could nick a 6-8 point win and if they go through well deserved. We missed Lawson tonight, Bomber wasn’t great and threw some silly points away. Bowes needs to go, he is costing his team mates and club heavily now, he isn’t fit and certainly isn’t race fit. Now is the time while still on a 5 to get a new rider in. Matt and Danny seem to think he will turn it around, I haven’t seen anything this year to back up that thought, he looks unstable on a bike and has since the first meeting, keep him and it will cost us trophy’s. We have been spoilt in reserve so far, but once he drops there in July and scores 2 or 3 that will cost us meetings. He isn’t fit and we are going to slip up sooner rather than later and that came to fruition tonight. Look at some of the riders at Workington Saturday or see if Bailey will come over from July.2 points

Doesn't matter though does it? Cooper had an off at Kings Lynn and didn't get signed off from the medics. He then missed a Poole meeting and was banned for 7 days (despite it being a speedway injury). Peter scored 9 according to updates in Denmark.2 points

No wonder the Pirates fans wanted it off, it wasn’t the hot weather that was the problem it was the heat of the Bandits. Not surprised to see them up to their old tricks with Bowes at all, I wonder what the excuse will be for him not to turn up on Saturday.2 points

Does Lawson know what injury he has?2 points

Bloody hell how could I forget Swidders 😲 That first season we had him, he was like Loram, John Cook and Gollob rolled in to one. Absolutely box office. Tailed off second season unfortunately. Probably as you say, because he was back on a 500cc 😂2 points

Can't be arsed trawling through my comments, but said pretty much the same thing when the GP's and Poland took over Speedway... Work with them, not against them.. Cut your cloth accordingly, be beholding to no one, and go your own way, and plough your own furrow, at whatever level was affordable and could generate growth and rider development... Instead UK Speedway did it usual fudge, make do and mend, contrived, Mickey Mouse, nonsense, presumably down to their egos not allowing them to accept their position in the grand scheme of things?... Statler and Waldorf.... #negativebastards..2 points

Well... That's underwhelming isn't it?... Etc. Etc. Etc.... Edit: He should have found a way to keep Emil and Doyle... And got Zmarzlik on a 6.....2 points

Not really as he was always going to racing in Denmark, just like Richard Lawson who’s missing at Poole.2 points

You need another 'safe & effective' injection. The temperatures that keep getting 'smashed' where do they take them from? Still using runways & non-existent weather stations? Just remember the same people pushing the climate 'crisis' & Net Zero BS are the same ones pushing the proxy money laundering Ukraine war & also the very same ones who pushed the CONvid narrative. Only about a month ago they were pushing the rat p1ss virus2 points
